The enterance to the Palace-now heavily guarded and allowing no one entry without an appointment before the event. Appointments could be made here prior to entry-though entry is not always guaranteed :p

The sentry's gathered what weapons they could; with the Captain of the Guard out in Ithteca, this made things a tad harder for them. Samurai and ninja's of the Empress were postitioning themselves in front of the palace. They were of many gender, species and race. They activated the air raid siren they had just purchased from Ithteca last month-warning the city below of what 'little' they knew. "The cerulean streak that was in the sky...it happened five years ago...thats when that creature came into our existance. That wood cutter must have not killed him. Now we are all doomed." came the voice of the Lieutenant Watanabe as she readies her bow and folds her veil over her mouth. The ninja nodded over to the rest of the archers and samurai. "Be ready. It is said it will spit fire of blue that irradiates anything it touches and will eat even the bravest and skilled of men. And lastly, don't let it pass!" she cried out.

Jack stood out in the courtyard, looking for Maron when he heard the air raids. "Hey-what the hell's going on here?" He asked, grabbing the nearest guard. "Whats going on here, is my aunt going to war?" he asked the soldier.

Lieutenant Watanabe turned, and her eyes expressed a mix of anger and frustration. "Hey! What the hell are you doing out here? How did you get past the guards?!" She demanded, pushing the kid back. "If you know whats best for you-get some distance and scram!" She ordered, pushing him back again. She turned to two of the guards that she didn't need. "You two, take this fool to the prison where he'll be safe. Make sure there isn't any other civs are in the walking about!" she stressed, before turning back to her group, and letting out an exasperated sigh. "Hurry your asses, line up! He's coming for the palace!" she reminded, she herself ready with bow in hand. She got into position, climbing the ladder of one of two guard towers and shouted commands to the other troops while she was ready to aid the archers.

"Lieutenant; status report" Ikai growled as he strode by the man being drag by the guards to the prison. Climbing the ladder Ikai's gaze fell on the Lieutenant. After ascending to the platform there was but a beat in between his request and no response. Ikai brought a kunai to the lieutenant's throat. "We need everyone on board during this situation; hesitation isn't an asset i'm willing to keep around. Am I understood?"

Ikai's are was poised; and his gaze unmovable from the eyes of the Lieutenant. "Just like in the Civil War...the officers underneath are slow, degenerate...all they know is how to throw around authority."

Instead of acting out, staying still, or physically fighting-Lieutenant Watanabe turned around, slowly enough so her throat wouldn't get sliced. "So, who's the man responsible for putting a knife to my throat?" she asked before she was completely facing Ikai. She had deep brown eyes that were filled with slight irritation and-then there was a blade coming from behind Ikai, tapping him on the shoulder before being brought to his neck. The real Lieutenant casually leans against the fence that keeps the guard tower staff from falling off. "Lieutenant Watanabe at your service. The troops are mobilized and ready to defend to the bitter end...are you new or just stupid thinking you can sneak up at the next High Imperial Ninja and place a kunai at my throat?" came the voice of the officer while the one standing so close in front of Ikai 'poofed' and a single leaf dropped. The Lieutenant smiled beneath her sheer veil, not sure how to think of this guy. "How about...you start reporting in then?" she asked. "Since, I'm pointing the blade at you now and all." she added matter of factly.

"I'm Ninjutsu-Master Ikai Boontai Sensai of Emperess Sango." came the response before the form in front of the Lieutenant became a puddle before her, with the actual Ikai balancing on the tip of her sword. "I've been given the responsibility of overseeing her protection since her youth and that blood pact has not changed." He backflipped from the sword and stood on the fence staring out towards the "attacker".

"If Sango gets into trouble before this big guy gets here...I'm just going to be a heap of flesh before he even gets here. Pssh...I taught her better then for me to worry about being too beaten up by the time he gets here." Ikai thought to himself, as he intently kept track of not only the pace of the streak but of the Lieutenant's movements.

She blinked and grinned. "And she has trained me." Watanbe replied, bringing her sword down and resheathing it into it's scabbard. "Ah...your the pervy Master she always talked about. I'm suprised you havent been around the palace as often. I almost thought you never existed." she said with a smile from under her veil, looking out towards the streak. "It's that dragon who nearly destroyed Beijio five years ago around the time I first started working here as a ninja. Heh, I was 19 then and with only basic training. I was shaking as a leaf then...even now I am, but I've learned to hide that fact around them down there." she said, hinting at the guards who were ready down below.

"Just because it's hidden to you doesn't mean it's hidden to others." Ikai said in a whisper, as he hopped down from the fence moving to the center of the guard tower. "Kreatana!" Ikai exclaimed as he shot chakra from his right palm to form a katana with an abnormal curve like a scimitar. Ikai spun the chakra weapon through his hands causing a blaze of bluish-white light to blur around his hands as he moved the weapon.

Ikai slowed the weapon to a halt in front of himself turning around slowly facing the streak in the sky his eyes focused ahead. Ikai took stance and froze in place his muscles tense, his eyes shut. With his left hand he briefly untensed his arms to put bandanna reminiscent of the civil war over his eyes before replacing his arms to their previously tensed position.

Watanabe's eyes widened. "That technique...the Kreatana...it summons chi and chakura from the body to manefest itself into the flesh! The Empress wouldn't teach me the skill-Master Boontai, you have to teach me how to utilize such skills!" she said, before she cringed. "Great, I went out of character again-damn it." she turned to the streak and back to Ikai, who now had a bandana over his eyes. "Thats from the Beijio Civil war...I was born around the time the war was over...but you can't be more than 26 years old...but the Empress is in her fourties...eh...then how the hell did you train her when she was 14?" she sighed at the thought, holding her head. "So, what are you going to do if the dragon eats us Ikai?" she asked readying her bow again.

"On the off hand chance that happens we'll just have to cool his stomach." Ikai said dismissively, "As for learning the Kreatana...decide for yourself: Spend time learning how to refocus chakra OR be prepared for the attack." As he finished speaking he slowly moved to the fence, swinging above to the top of the tower where he repositioned into his defensive stature.

"I have time so might as well take the time to start some seals, and other defensive ninjutsu." Ikai told himself as he started to pour chakra into the area around him aura of bluish-white chakra.

She hesitated slightly. "I'm sorry sir. Do you need help with the barriers sir?" she asked, standing still and waiting for a response. She wanted to learn it, but she would have to wait till later to ask again.

"If you know any defensive jutsus that you can put on every last one of these guards then go for it." Ikai said as he concentrated sending wave after wave of chakra into guards who store dumbfoundedly at Ikai as he continued to pour chakra from his body and into various genjutsus (psychological/dream jutsus) and other defensive jutsus.

Don't be a heden about it, or else I'll have your hides ready for purchase as well!" she ordered, taking a pixie stick and adding it to the base of her pipe, loading it with her tobacco, and causing an even sweeter scent to rise from the metal and wood pipe.

Ikai stopped performing his jutsus as he felt the familiar tug of his most ignorant jutsu to date...that of the He-Den jutsu. "Lieutenant...apparently i'm being called away. You're in charge if I haven't returned in i'd say a fortnight...call He-Den. I swear if you use it after a fortnight I will slit your throat myself...I hate this jutsu..." Ikai spoke to the lieutenant as his body slowly from legs up started to disappear from view.

"Why did I ever create this Wargod-Forsaken jutsu?" Ikai thought to himself.

The serpent descends from the sky, landing upon the front courtyard of the palace, roaring and belowing large plumes of fire from his maw. "STOP the fighting!" he commanded the Beijionese people. The giant flying snake like creature stood up on it's rear claws, it's front claws bent down in front of it's chest as it eyed the soldiers carefully. "I am the nameless Guardian of Beijio, sometimes referred to in legends as "The Beijionese Serpent". I have came to you, not as your grim reaper, but as your undying protector." he started, his belly rumbled with the Empress bouncing inside. "I have removed the threat of Beijio; your Empress betrayed you and so I dealt with her myself. In a matter of hours, she will no longer be a threat to anyone." he states, letting out a forced roar which masked his belch. The belly above his rear legs pulsed briefly before remaining still again. "I did not want it to come this way, but unfortunately it did. Fortunately for you; every one of you is saved from Celestine...the Azure dragon has left, and seems it will not soon be making his return." he states looking down upon them. "In the mean time...we must deliberate the sanction of a new Emperor or Empress...as I am a legendary creature, I am not worthy of rule." he states honestly. "But, as a Guardian, I will promise to remove all threats to Beijio and her Empire!" he bellows again, expelling more flame and smoke into the sky above.

With the disappearance of Ikai Boontai and now the sudden appearance of the Beijionese Serpent behind their lines, the Lieutenant looks up dumbfoundedly at the giant creature. A katana still in hand, she takes a step back, raising the blade. "Dragon...you say you killed our Empress? She did not betray us!" she exclaims, swinging her blade at the creature. "What on Galiavan have you done to us?! You made us leaderless! You've set us up for a successor that does not exist!" She levels her weapon towards the creature, staring at him with cold eyes. "You've...killed us...by killing the strongest leader we've had since Emperor Diasuke!" She exclaims, gritting her teeth underneath her black veil.

The Lieutenant backed up again, this time out of disgust, much like others who could just barely hear the West's most powerful woman entrapped within layers of heavy near-impenetrable armored scales, muscle and intestinal flesh. She grimaced lowering her katana. "You...ate the Empress...you sick sick bastard!" She screamed closing her eyes and charging the dragon with her blade-unable to hold back.

Sighing, the dragon snaps it's tail forward wrapping around the young woman and swung her into a tower before sending her over the crowd of soldiers she was in command of, the woman hitting the steps leading to the palace and started to tumble down them. Annoyed, he turns his gaze upon the others; smoke drifting from his nose. "I fight only enemies of the country of Beijio or in my own self defense. If you wish to suffer a similar fate of the Empress or that unresputable woman, by all means...step right up." he exclaims, growling at the samurai's and ninja before him.

Before she could realize it she was ensnared by the agile tail of the dragon and was forced into the observation tower where she met the legendary hero Ikai Boontai. The Lieutenant somehow remained conscious after colliding into the tower, but soon as she recovered she was tossed through the air like a rag doll. Screaming as she flew, her voice halted after she plunged down the steep steps leading to the palace...

"J-just a minute...Damn..so many useless steps...*hack cough cough*." after another brief pause the men and woman parted ways for a sweating tired man with blazing red spiky hair and a ponytail to step up to the dragon. "GODS Damn it..." he huffed, eyes puffy with all the excessive exercises. He draws out a long breath and swings the prod in front of him, pointed at the Dragon. "I, Reno KimKaze, former member of the TIRS and current member of the indiscipline squa-" he pauses, looking upwards. "-d no wait a minute; no of the ADN intelligence gathering bureau challenge you!!" he declares with a loud voice and big grin.

Reno's eyes narrowed in irritation as well. "Just shad-up and lets fight already!" He charges the dragon at a high speed, drawing out his prod and swinging it across the creatures face, rolling onto it's fore head and dropping a sticky mine upon it. Chuckling as he descended, and activated the mine via a remote on his prod...after all, the prod was technically a large fortified antenna signalling the explosion that took place on top of the dragon's head.

The dragon let out a terrifying roar from the explosion, swinging out his tail and sent the red haired punk into one of the sturdy interior walls of the palace; hard enough to leave an imprint of the man upon it's stony surface. He reared his head back, fire forming at the maw, ready to toast the transgressor. "Nothing but a useless punk!" He roars, spewing flame upon the foolish man in the suit.
