Pumpstation 2A
[from here]
Captain Miyu began leading UNIT CHARON consisting of Dom, Celestyna, Shen, and Sakura upon parting ways with her sister, Commander Kana Taijiya and her niece, Yuzuru.
Miyu Taijiya is the 25 year old younger sister of Kana Taijiya, the leader of Taijiya Village and of the Fiend Jaeger Unit, which was initially the Taijiya Slayers, a group of Beijionese Ninja dedicated to the cause of slaying and studying demons, and often accompanied Dr. Reiri Kamura on her 'trips' when she was infamously writing up the World Bestiary of Demons. Reiri funded their group with money, supplies, and modernized them, expanded them from Taijiya Village to an international mercenary group that was not too known outside certain circles, but well known in the underworld and by spy organizations- even hired by some to do their dirty work, usually the excavation of a large monster corpses. While Kana was a bit of a... 'free spirit', Miyu was more level headed, stern, focused and serious about the deadly job. Like her elder sister, she was a veteran of the group, and was the second in command of the entire operation. She seemed to be hard on Yuzuru, but it was only for her best interest- as the child of 17 going on 18 was yet too soft for this mission. Her elder twin sister, Owara however, she was of interest to Miyu, and wanted her under her wing as soon as she was able- not that she cared for her friend, Widow's younger sister, Rebecka. She found that woman a loose cannon, a devil in sheeps clothing...
Dominique 'Dom' Marcelle was a unique figure. She kept to herself, mostly, but hailed from Fenira. She was an attractive woman with a very pallid complexion and a dark port royal stain around her left eye. She was a pistol markswoman, and was working for Bounty Hunters Guild till she had a mix-up with a fellow bounty hunter named or nicknamed 'Body-Bag'. For some reason after that, she quit and joined up with their group when she met Kana by chance.
Celestyna, or Silvie, was a Dhampir.
Celestyna Tarasovna Laurenteau, former Brigadier General of the Izheveskian Royal Chevaliers, and formerly the supreme commander of their tank divisions, she was an ancient beauty who was bred for warfare, bathed in blood, and knew a thing or two about hunting monsters- having led troops against Abdel Adham the 66th Sultan of Domescadia during the Great War of the 2280s.
She was a highly decorated, long lived warrior with an occasional taste for blood. Such a person was a rare addition to their group, as it turned out however, her reasons for joining were due to the current political change in Izhevesk. With the Royal Family all but killed off by the Ministry of Intelligence & Espionage and the 'New Izhevesk Army', she resigned from her station and slew a Legiacrus the FJ's were hunting as it so happened. She asked if she could join us and has been with us since.
Shen was a technical expert, decent markswoman, and a second cousin to the Taijiya family, and was from the same village Miyu and Kana were from. She served briefly with the Beijio Public Security Agency, Beijio's attempt at modernizing their spies, but it didn't stick for long and she instead joined the 'family business'. She was an engineer and computer whiz too, so, a great addition to the team- though a bit on the stiff and serious side at times. Miyu liked Shen.
Lastly, there was the beautiful Sakura. She too was from Taijiya village, so grew up with its customs. She was a veteran of the Fiend Jaegers, having been with the group since she was in, and she wasn't much younger than Miyu. She was a friendly and outgoing kind of woman, always cool headed even when things got messy, much like everyone else in her group- just the way Miyu liked it. They weren't afraid to get a little dirty, nor stare eye to eye with the face of death- and they've all experienced their fair share of it. Sakura was also their demolition expert, and she was always carrying a mine on her hip in case they needed it.
The group eventually hit the end of the rail line, and were met with a less aesthetically pleasing terminal, which was meant for subway staff and personnel only:
Shen held her portable- heavy ass monitor and glanced back to Miyu, shaking her head. "Nothing too big on the motion detectors here, Captain."
Sakura sweeped her flashlight mounted rifle down a narrow corridor:
She glanced back to Miyu as well. "There's a long hallway in this direction- looks like it extends around a slight bend. Could be worth checking out, Cap."
Miyu stood there, and thought about it. "Okay, Shen, stick with me. Silvie I want you to secure the track till we return. Dom, Sakura, check out the corridor. Don't split up, just go as far as you can and report any findings. This place is wet maze..." Miyu commanded and warned.
Dom nodded, holding the other motion detector. "We'll turn back if there's any trouble or we can't keep in contact Cap." she says with a smirk.
Miyu nodded, and turned to Shen before pointing towards the large pumping room beyond a bunch of brick archways. "We'll meet back here in 30 minutes in either case. Happy hunting." Miyu added, before the team split into groups of three, with the more than capable Celestyna in charge of security till they got back. Her senses were far sharper than any of theirs, being a Dhampir- not that the other girls save Kana and maybe one or two others knew. She liked to hide her crimson eyes with those lavender contacts or glamor she wore... but even with them, she could see, smell and hear danger before they would ever know- and she was certain her senses were far more keen than the ancient motion detectors they had in possession- family relics from the 2280s.
The groups moved off, in different directions, leaving the Dhampir behind, whilst still keeping in radio contact with one another...

Re: Pumpstation 2A
Another portion of the Serpen Multitudo was currently pursuing prey into the depths of one of the Pumpstations. The miniature horde was mostly comprised the Rattler strain, Shadow strain, and Albino strain. The Rattler strain, as signified by its brown highlighted third spot in the first row placement below, used the organic rattles on their tail blades for intimidation and misdirection purposes, a tactic that was in full use as this wave of Serpens began to descend upon the squad. Their venom was inline with the Common strain, but their tail blades were more suited to stabbing and piercing prey rather than slashing them due to the location of the rattles on the outside of the blade.
The Shadow strain, as signified by its black highlighted second spot in the last row placement below, preferred to attack from the shadows and was the most silent of the Serpens. Whereas some might hiss to convey their presence or otherwise intimidate prey, Shadow strains struck without warning or sound. Their venom was second only to the Cobra strain, though less lethal and far more rapidly acting in its inducing of paralysis. If left untended, its prey would die within the hour, but just as the Cobra Strain, its intestines secreted an antidote that staved off the more lethal properties of its venom. Its tail blade possessed a fine, sharpened edge capable of slicing through steel should it fail to bite its prety.
The Albino strain, as signified by its white highlighted third spot in the last row placement below, was unusual in its mutations. It venom wasn't as potent as even the Common strain, only inducing a mild paralysis that still left the victims some use of their motor skills. Instead Albino strains were among the most powerful when it came to musculature. Though they had no special offensive attacks like the Ball Strain, they were able to bind and crush the life from their targets in a matter of seconds. They could even grind stone to dust if given the proper positioning, though they preferred to squeeze their prey to within an inch of their lives before consuming them whole. Their enhanced muscles also afforded them greater cutting power with their tail blades through sheer face, able to dent and slice steel given enough time.
The frightening sounds of numerous Rattler strains echoed through the terminal and tunnels as the Serpens attacked in numbers by the dozens, seeking to make a meal of Miyu and Dom first....
