Dwindling Path

The path leading to the front door of Archie McGraw's estate is covered with booby traps that even after years of losing his wealth and power remain active. The only warning of booby traps are the bodies that lay scattered among the yard of previous "trespassers".

As Jack decended it suddenly came to him. "Wait....it wasnt lines...it's MINES!" as he hit the earth he felt something click-but thankfully he teleported farther down the path as the explosions were being set off one by one. He dodged shrapnel as easy as if it were boontai disks as he made his way to the door-sprinting to it.

A wall of barbed wire appeared in front of Jack's path as the distant barking of hounds could be heard fast approaching. A glint of light betrayed the flamethrowers that now jutted from the ground and fired at their common target. Phase 1 of the Estate's security system had been initiated.

Jack sighed. "Of course-" he pressed his feet against the fence and started wall walk it while he looked for an opening-if there was none-he'd make one. All the while glad the flamethrowers didnt pivot...yet.

A couple of small blasts could be heard as a couple of boontai discs were launched from the very front of the yard speeding at 55 mph towards Jack. The wall now started to descend back into the ground at a rapid pace while the ground underneath gave way to a pool with shaowy figures swirling around at the bottom. Walls rose on all four sides of this pit.

The barbed wire wall came to a sudden halt near 30 ft above the water. The sudden jerk causes Jack to fall onto a bit of barbed wire dangling by his jacket. Phase 1A initiated.

Jack's eyes narrowed. "C'mon man-this is just like the Assault Course!" He kicked up his feet and planted his feet on the fence. He left his longcoat to hang there as he jumped from side to side in the pit-scaling his way back up and leaping out of the pit-into the line of fire from the boontai disks. He quickly flexed his body and two disks flew centimeters past his head and chest, the last two he deflected with his katana as he rolled back onto the earth-and began to sprint towards the door again with a smirk on his face.

"Hope you like to laugh..." came an eeriely sadistic voice over a hidden intercom. As the voice spoke blue smoke sprayed over the yard. The hounds now rounded the corner of the estate and were at Jack's heels. As the hounds entered the smoke they fell to the ground yelping in what sounded like dog laughter.

A field 100 square feet of spikes broke the ground in front of Jack each spike a mere foot a part from the others. As Jack came even closer a plasma cannon was seen charging from the roof of the estate towards Jack's position. Machinery placed four separate walls of titanium steel block Jack's entrance. Phase E (execution) activated.

Jack covered his mouth, kicking a dog into the air as he continued his sprint to the door-when he remembered. "Wait...I'm a friggen ninja!" He then peformed a teleportation jutsu past the door. He patted himself off. "Dammit...I liked that coat too." he said patting himself off. He looked around the basically void room. He began to travel further in-and he sheathed his katana. "Okay...let's see if anyones home." he said, without his coat-his cross could be seen dangling off the side of his waist and the Quicksilver .50 HP tucked behind his waistband.
