Hell Portal Beta Gateway, Exit to Nessus Region, the 9th Plane, before The Living End, Defence Wall

The journey through the portal was swift, but strange and jarring. As was the sudden deposit before the bleak, blasted landscape before him.



The place looked like a benighted ruin. Blazing with magma trenches and blasting fires burning dried out husks of stone and blackened steel. Fortresses of obsidian stone and ebony steel dotted the lands in all directions, filled with ravenous demons, murderous entities, and the suffering spirits of the dead. The slobbering growls of beasts, and the cries of the condemned wafted through the air like a lingering bad odor. and the oppressive force Ed felt on the way to the tower, was magnified thousands of times here. Like the weight of worlds was placed on his shoulders.

The Battle Lord directed his attention however to something he could not believe was physically possible...



The immense titanic wall that stretched from horizon to horizon, standing thousands of meters high, looked like it was of a scale he had never even heard of before. Inbuilt fortifications, lined the structure, weapon systems of advanced technological origin, and mystically enhanced well beyond anything he had ever seen, whatever this place was guarding... No, he knew what must lay beyond those gates.

The immense portcullises and drawbridges whirred and moved like the gears of intricate clockwork to allow them passage across the chasm of boiling blood and fire. The convoy passed into the inner circle of Nessus, and entered sight of the Palace of the Empress of Hell itself after several hours of crossing the interior of this wall structure.
