The Great Stairwell (1st, 2nd, 3rd floors)

Stairs that lead to all parts of the building-guarded by fully armored Samurai at the lower landing and upper landing of the large set of stairs. It is also watched by the Empress's Ninja who watch from the shadows...

Rufus and Agan entered the Palace after a long walk. The sentries didn't seem to be on post as they had when he came here via hologram. "Well, this is unlike the Imperial Palace to be so underguarded... I wonder if something has happened. Perhaps we should take residency somewhere else, Miss Agan." Rufus says, tapping his umbrella against the tiled floor of the stairway.

"I'm quite sure that they are simply attending to other matters Mr. Tenik." she says in response, keeping a close distance to the Vice President. She kept alert however, finding the absence of guards slightly troubling as well. "Either way, just stay close to me Mr. Vice President and everything will be alright." she assures.

Sango was heading towards the General's office, ready to tell him to get the guard, find the one responsible and bring him to her immediately when she paused on the stairwell. Before her was a tall Beijionese woman with matching purple hair and eyes in some sort of dress. Beside her, was a blond man clad in white...

Her eyes widen and she is almost shocked, but her words do not speculate such. She flatly, and rather dryly says the mans name: "Rufus George-Alexander Tenik..." she says narrowing her eyes slightly.

Rufus's gaze fixes upon the Empress's. He smiles. "Long time no see Empress Sango Beijio-oh...that's right, Sigara now, isn't it?" he chuckled advancing a step or two. "Strange how we bump into each other here of all places on a stairwell. Mind if we talk more privately? I mean, your grace's beauty shouldn't be for everyone to see as we talk on more... private matters. They are quite important you see, and they shouldn't be for everyone to hear." he says with a smile, half bowing to the Empress, looking to Roin Agan who does the same.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "Kreatana..." her voice was low and very deep. A long, shimmering pillar erected from her hand and she lunged up into the air, bringing both hands against the chakura weapon, eyes wide and teary with hate and disgust as she exhales a battle cry and slams the weapon down upon Rufus!

Rufus brought up his umbrella to block the chakura weapon, using every ounce of energy in his being to hold the screaming Empress back. He grunts, bearing his teeth as he slowly looked over to his secretary. "Oh, yeah... sure, we'll go to Beijio...!" He grunts, forcing his weight back pushing the Empress back a few steps. He forces the umbrella against the side of the chakura made weapon, unable to see it's blade. "Look... I am just here to talk!" he says pushing her back again, opening the umbrella to cause her remain on that step and to keep her from attacking him. "Thank the Gods this umbrella was made to last!" he thinks.

Sango took a step back before she held her ground again. "I don't talk to murderers!" she exclaimed, transforming the kretana katana into a chain whip and swung it around the umbrella. The umbrella was then flicked out of his hands with a simple flick of her wrist before she had it turn back into a katana. "Time for you to die!" She exclaimed, lunging towards Rufus, grappling him as they were both sent tumbling down the entire length of stairs and back into the foyer.
