Colony Market Place

The three ADN MP's were patrolling the Colony Market Place, with their assault rifles bouncing in front of their chests as they walked around the market place. They were carrying a clipboard-like device and were scanning the crowds. There was a warrant for the arrest of an unidentified man who was not in the records, but had a plethora of images recorded from the station's security cameras. When one of the soldiers turned with the device in hand, there was a moment when the facial imaging software picked up, zoomed in and identified the suspect they were looking for; turning the screen red and warning the sentries of the man who took a shot at the Vice President. They look up, following the identifier's lead and saw their suspect running alongside a cloaked individual. With wide eyes one of the sentries pointed him out and the guards quickly drew their weapons, ejecting live ammunition from their Orions and replaced them with neutralization rounds. "After him!" The lead MP stated to the others, their voices were hard to make out because of the crowds roaring.

He turned around himself, his eyes falling upon the soldiers who were laying eyes on him. "Oh fuck, yeah we better get going-" he says as he was tugged along, stepping up his speed and running alongside her. "They can't shoot at us, right?" He asked the cloaked rabbit-woman beside him.

Usagi turns to Leland, raising an eyebrow under the shadow of the hood. "What? How am I supposed to know?" she asked, turning back to face where she was running.

As they advanced towards the pair, they noticed that the perpetrators took notice of their advance. "Don't let them escape!" cried one of the MP's raising his rifle and firing the weapon towards the couple. Thanks to the Neutralization rounds, they wouldn't have to worry about hurting anyone. The bullets squealed through the air, causing people to scream and duck for cover. Bullets whizzed and slammed into walls, corralling the two fleeing suspects hopefully into their line of fire. While one MP concentrated fire, the other two began to charge, flanking the pair as they had to dodge the bullets.

Usagi screamed, ducking her head and brought her hands over her head, covering her ears which were pulled back under the hood for protection. "Ahhh! Does that answer your question Leland?!" She exclaimed, trying to keep low as she ran for dear life!

As the bullets whizzed and whistled over their heads and were mostly lost in the crowds screams and shouts, Leland pushed Usagi down and pushed her ahead of him so she wouldn't get hit. "What the hell?! We aren't in Nazi Germany fellas, no need to fucking involve the civilians!" He cried back, unsure if he should have used that analogy but screw it, at this point it really didn't matter. He had the range to shoot back at these guys, but he didn't want to harm the civs in the process. "Fuck, keep moving!" Leland screamed, pushing Usagi again, trying to keep her from being shot yet.

As they were dodging their attacks and running through the crowd, one of the MP's lunged from the sidelines and grabbed onto the cloaked female assailant's left arm, while the gunner in the back reloaded his magazine and fired another spray of neutralization rounds at the main suspect.

Usagi let out a shallow yelp as she was grabbed by the rough hands of the ADN soldier. "Ehh! Let...go!" She retaliated, swinging her right arm towards her assailant, though it was awkward due to the angle she struck him. "Hyaaaaah!!!" She screams, throwing her right arm repetitively at his head. She could sense the semi-good intentions from him, but it was imperative that they left as quickly as possible, and she could hold back using her bone crushing feet no longer if her assaults did not phase him!

Irvine turned to the sound of Usagi's cries, "Usagi!" and then the oncoming gunfire. "Shitshitshit-!" He screamed, rushing from the rounds flying through the people around him. As he got into cover, he realized the Civs who were gunned down were twitching, but no blood was spilled. It was as if they were firing rubber rounds at them. As he continued to hear Usagi cry out, and with this in mind he quickly rushed out, grabbing a civ running by as a shield before tossing him at the MP who was shooing him. "Sorry guy, but can't be cordial!" he says to the Civ before pushing him forward. He then turned to the MP who was grabbing his client and rushed him, tackling him against the wall and slamming his right knee against his ribs several times till Usagi was free. "Run!" he ordered her, turning to her wildly as he tore off the strange assault weapon from the MP's waist and turned it on the other:

"RATATATATATATATAT!" The gun exploded, sending the same non-lethal rounds into the other MP. He then backed up, sweeping for any more MP's as he provided Usagi some cover. "Get to the docking station, on the double!" The Merc ordered.

Usagi, free of the MP's grasp at long last, turned to Leland as he barked at her to keep running. Her cloak billowing around her as she ran towards the docks, she noted the door closing automatically and before she would allow it to close she jumped and slammed her back against one end, and her powerful legs against the other. The mechanical doors grinds against her and whined, but she kept them at bay where strangely, other beast-kin would perhaps be split in half by the power of the doors. "Craw under my legs!" She called to Leland, managing to keep the doors open; her long slender pale legs sexily draped by her cape and cloak which still hid her face, upper body end ears.

Leland saw a few more MP's coming their way, and leveled his newly acquired rifle at them, firing off spurts of the Neutralization rounds. Turning to the woman's voice, seeing how she held open a path for them, he fires the rest of the gun at the opposing ADN force before it went dry. He sprinted towards the door, and, with much grace, slid under the sexy thigh and wedged the rifle in place. "Hurry, Usagi, get in!" he commanded, already hearing the weapon strain from the force of the door crushing against it. He didn't mind losing this rifle, he still had the other tapping against his thigh and his .50 pistols yet.

Usagi saw Irvine slide under, wedging his rifle in place so she too could enter. As it was, she was struggling with keeping the door wedged open herself, and with some grace, slipped her legs through the gap followed by the rest of her. The door, fully operational again kicked into high gear and effortlessly destroyed the rifle wedged between it, and in turn, also snagged Usagi's cloak. As they were about to continue further into the docking bay, freedom just ahead of them, Usagi realized this as she tried to advance but couldn't! "Leland!" She called out, yanking on her cloak. "I-I'm stuck!" She added. "My cloak is stuck, I can't get it out!"

Irvine turned to the frantic cries of the woman, and with little time they had left, he ran to her side. "We're going to have to ditch it, they're going to find us anyway!" he exclaimed, slipping his combat knife through the fabric, his other hand yanking her from the hood and cloak. He held the strange rabbit woman close, before he pushed her ahead, his eyes turning from her own to the shuttles around them. "You're free, keep moving!" He ordered, as he tried to figure how he was going to fly these things. They were straight from freaking Star Wars... he wasn't going to be able to use any of these!
