Re: Market district
The school girl headed down into the market like any other day; she waved goodbye to her friends and cut through the heavy traffic of swarming civilians as she makes her way to the small resturant outlet. She grinned at the menu and ordered some odeon noodles. She then did what she did best-gather information about anything suspicious occurring in the area... "If this isn't extra-curiccular then I deserve a fucking gold star." she thought, picking through the conversations individually and searching for anything that might perk her interests.

A figure in a cape and cloak brushed past the young blue haired woman-smacking her ass with his left hand. He then hastely continued his path onwards-cutting through the market.

She didn't give him a chance-one swift kick and the cloaked figure was projected out of the market district like a base ball being hit by a bat; spinning and screaming over the walls and into the poor district.
"Home run." she muttered with her face expressed in a slight smirk. She then resumed eating and the crowd slipped back into the normal flow of traffic again.

As he flew off and out of site-the piece of paper he had placed under her seat when he grabbed her butt remained there unseen.

She reached under her seat, pulling out the small paper and reading the scribbled writing. She blinked, standing up and crinkeling the paper and tossing it at the nearby sewer drain. The note only stated "Dancing the Kabuki, oh how lovely those men do appear!"
She headed back to her place, she would cut through the Poor district like she normally would too; and was walking those filthy streets in a matter of seconds.

An air raid siren could be heard radiated from the palace walls-warning the city below of incoming danger and to stay inside.

Re: Market district
Katsumi continued her walk throughout the damaged city. She was still in awe over the fact that so much destruction could occur in such a short time frame, at least in these more or less peaceful days. Sure, she had grown up in conflict, was a spy who caused conflict, and had seen death on many aspects, but this was a tad extreme. She headed down Market Place and looked from the overturned vending tables to the despoiled food and crushed merchandise. She frowned, her ears drooping. "I wish that I could have done something..." she says under her breath, her eyes feeling watery and painful.

"Please...please tell me your unholy creation, that Eldritch Abomination, that is your Spartans Blood Coffee isn't responsible for any of this chaos." the sound of heavy bags dropping against the ground and items spilling out behind the cat-girl. Turning around, she would see the tall and well endowed and young High Priestess standing there in awe as well. Her silky raven black hair flowed behind her back, her gold eyes wide and focused from the destruction to the eyes of the Neko. She was wearing the standard robes, as well as her tight black leotard and red hakama. Beside the heels of her black combat boots were artifacts from the lands beyond Beijio City. "Cause I'd really....really hate to ask what you put in it this time." before she could react, the younger woman grabbed hold of the cat-girl and glomped her tightly. "Katsumi! I've been away for too long!" she cried out gleefully. She tugged the woman tightly, bones could crunching. "Now tell me, what's happened here?" she asked, still crunching bones.

Miko blinks, then gasps. "Oh! Sorry, I still forget that I have a nearly 500 pound grip!" she says with a shaky laugh, reaching down and collecting her things again, lifting the nearly 500 pound sac of items over her shoulder like it was nothing. "So...about telling me about what really happened here in my absence then?" she asked with a smile.Katsumi wrote:Katsumi squeals, her eyes bulging and her legs kicking beneath her. Katsumi gasped, her eyes large and her breath quickly returning. She cranes her back, and imagines that she is snapping her spine back into place before looking to the Priestess. "First it was an attack by the Crimson Knight Brigade, then just as quickly we were attacked by a spiteful little blue dragon. It destroyed half the Market District as well as Main Street. Then...well, it just simply vanished-leaving us with only debris and the injured to tend after." she said solemnly. She then let out a sigh of relief before grinning a little. "It was a good thing you were not here. I'd hate to see you get hurt." she says softly.

Re: Market district
The Priestess shook her head. Her face expressed grim expression that was easily read as regret. "I should have been here. With my powers and abilities, the blue dragon wouldn't have destroyed so much. I could have been able to isolate it, perhaps even deter it from even venturing into the city." she said somberly. She gripped her fists tightly, the leather of her gloves squeaked as she did this. "I swear... I swear on my honor as the High Priestess that I shall protect the city of Beijio." she exhales, looking around the destroyed market district. "I'll have to bring these to the Palace first," shaking the bag of relics. "Before I can help with the construction." she says with a faint smile.

Katsumi gasped. "Don't think such things! You can't be everywhere at once, so don't blame yourself." said the cat girl, who clasped her hands around the Miko's. "A woman of your position has a large responsibility to bear, but don't beat yourself up for things you were not even aware of, okay?" she smiled, gently stroking the priestess's hand. "Stop over to our house later, I insist." she then pulled away from the priestess. "I'll see you then, okay?" she then giggled.Miko Hakurei wrote:The Priestess shook her head. Miko's mouth was slightly agape, but then she smiled fully. "Thanks Katsumi; you know what? I think I'll take up that offer." she replies with a sweet smile. She begins to head to the palace, and turns to look back to the neko. "I'll see to Barduwulf getting the message, if he's still here in the city."Katsumi wrote:Katsumi gasped. She chuckled. "Well then, I'll give him my left overs then; and don't worry-it'll take more than a couple Gods to smite that man." she said with a wink. "Well, I shall see you later then!" she waved to Katsumi before heading towards the palace.

What a town. Nothing shows off your national prestige like a loaded capital, and this one definitely fits the bill. I was sure there was tons of good stuff to steal, though that was always just a pretense for me. Right now I was more interested in "meeting" some of the locals, and acquiring a few forms I could use to get around more comfortably. At the moment I was in my true form, albeit wearing a green kimono rather then my usual hoodie. I had to blend in somewhat when I didn't have a good disquise.

Re: Market district
Wolf walked about with an unlit cigarette in her mouth, and with her prized rifle packed inside it's cloth bag, some may suspect so she wouldn't scare any of the civilians with it, but that wasn't true. She simply sealed it away so it wouldn't get dirty in this boggy debris ridden air. She was also worried her scope's lenses may get scratched. She could hear a ruckus echoing from the Palace above, sirens and such blaring its echoes into the valley below, where the peasantry and non-Royals mingled about while the Empress sat comfortably upon her mountain. No, she had nothing against the woman at all, nor did she have a thing against her rule. She just saw how things were. She walks over to a set of stairs leading to more markets. People down here were cleaning up debris in the afternoon light, and were trying to salvage what little they had left to sell in the markets above.
"That Cerulean Dragon really did a number on the town." she said absently out loud. She walks around the set of stairs and leans with her back against the wall of the stairway. She was referencing Celestine, the small imp-sized dragon of blue who was eating a lot of the civilians and samurai stationed here, as well as generally causing mischief with the marketplaces such as these. Wolf remembered firing a bullet into it's gullet from a good distance away. She was well hidden and the beast never did find her, it disappeared almost like a cloud of smoke towards the end, like if it perhaps shrunk down to the size of a mouse and skittered away without anyone noticing.
Still, the damage was immense, and for it being only a day since the destruction began, the City was still suffering for it.
She goes into the pocket of her sidepacks, pulling out a brass lighter and brought it up to her mouth and lit the cigarette that was placed between her lips. She puffed a few times, and then blew out a steady stream of smoke, still leaning against the side of the stairwell. There were many people about this afternoon yet, a kid in a green kimono walked by, looking as though candy was stuck in her hair. Odd, but it didn't throw Wolf into any heightend alert state. She simply relaxed, smoking her cigarette as she watched the workers keep working. A steady sea breeze brushed against Wolf's BDU, the salty air tickling her partially exposed chest due to her BDU being zipped down just above her navel. She crossed her legs, her tight olive drab pants made a slight rustling noise as she performed this action. She leans her head back, her long blonde hair almost touching the stairs. She sets her rifle down beside her, and lets out a steady stream of smoke from her mouth. "This hot weather is not suited for a Wolf." she says cryptically to herself, closing her brilliant blue eyes and puffed a small sigh. She brings her fingerless gloved hand which held the cigarette to her mouth which she then dragged on again to herself.

Re: Market district
Misao felt that sense of dread come into play again. It wasn't too hard to tell when she could feel the flair ups of her Nemesis Hex, but as per usual, it begins to flair up when shes in the center of a public area. Never good. Not for Misao that is. She begins to hasten her steps in the Beijionese Market, her face flushed slightly from the bottle of wine she had just drank not too far from here. When the Blue Dragon attacked she made sure to be as hidden as possible, if it had caught wind of her scent or of her Hex, she would be nothing but a crispy corpse on the sidewalk, or even worse--a pile of bones settled at the pit of it's stomach. The thought made her almost barf, but that could have been the alcohol too, she did drink an entire bottle of it when she was stuck down in that wine cellar. But now, she wished her attention could be more focused than the dazed blur of being half sober and stumbling about in the street. Her skin felt warm, and she had accidentally stumbled into a fellow's face with her breasts.
"E-e-excuse me!" Misao squeamishly replied, stepping around the young man and continued her way through the market. She could see it in his eyes. The Hex was beginning to cloud that poor boy's head before she got out of range and he shook his head and went about business. It was hard to tell who was friend and who was foe while she had these flair ups. She suddenly felt pure dread wash over her. "Oh Gods..." her eyes widen, her right hand placed between her breasts as she felt her skin go from drunkenly warm to cold as ice. Something....something very bad was very close. She could almost smell it; she had to leave immediately.
She began running up a pair of stone steps, rushing past a blond woman smoking as she leaned against the stairs; accidentally bumping into her. "S-" she was about to appologize but kept running. Beside this blonde woman was a gun. The sight of the weapon made her run faster, and she quickly ran along ahead, ducking into a nearby alley towards the poor district to get away from the overwhelming sense of dread she was feeling!

Leaping down the street, causing tremors each time it landed. Like a T-Rex, the ground shook louder and louder as it approached. Townsfolk stopped what they were doing and became alarmed at the tremors, seeking the source. It soon showed itself. The legendary Beijonese Giant Bullfrog. Few had ever seen it, so it wasn't even confirmed to exist, but Misao's Nemesis Hex was a powerful curse that could bring out even the rarest of creatures. People watched as the drunken woman ran down the street, then stumbled up stone steps, her breasts jiggling, her body swaying. She was practically in tears. Then they screamed as they saw the bullfrog chasing after her. They all ran for their lives, seeking cover within their homes.
But it became obvious very quickly that it wanted nobody but her. It rammed through carts and vehicles, croaking loudly in what almost sounded like roars, revealing a gaping mouth and a ridiculously long, slimy tongue. It was the size of truck and could easily devour anyone in a single gulp if it wanted to. The beast felt the affects of the hex run through its veins...all it desired with the luscious taste of the women cursed by it, and by god the beast was going to get her.

Wolf hardly reacted as she was hit in the back of the head. Her cigarette still smoldering, as she looks over to the drunken woman who was stumbling up the steps. It was soon after that she felt then saw the Beijionese Giant Bullfrog. It's the second one she's seen her entire life here, and this one was alive. She pressed her back against the wall, grabbing her rifle, bracing herself for it as it came her way--then the body, legs and girth jumped over her; the slimy body was within inches of smacking her face. She exhales, and turns, noticing the Bullfrog on the second tier, and then dart after the woman. "This isn't good.." she says to herself, the cigarette dropping from her mouth and landing upon the asphalt. She brings rifle in hand with her, running up the steps after the frog and the woman.

Leland took his time, his bag around his shoulder, and the pouch banging against his hip as he navigated his way through the bustling city. The city itself looked like it had been in a war zone. The lever action was holstered onto his back, he could feel it's weight tapping against him as he made his way through the streets. He could tell after reading through Valor's book that a dragon must be a likely reason for the destruction, but he could also see a worrisome amount of rifle casings as well here and there. These were not from fending off the dragon...
"Looks like I'm not the only one having shit days." he says to himself, glancing from stall to stall now and then.

Re: Market district
Cojack was running around the ruined remains of the Market District, his long sleeves of his kimono tied up, an apron tied about his waist, and a bandana pulled back his hair as he ran around carrying provisions, items and sometimes people from one tent to another. He was aiding the relief effort and helping the other civilians, cleaning up. After he was finished lifting a few things he ran back to the impromptu soup kitchen and began working on food again with some other able bodied cooks.
"Hello Cojaaack!" a couple of ladies cooed as he walked by. He couldn't help himself, and paused, lowering a box of rice to take in their swoon. "Evening ladies~" he began in a sing song tone when he felt the ladle of the head cook smack the back of his head. Cojack kept his smile, but tears of pain fluttered down his cheeks.
"More cooking, less flirting." came the gruff head chief's voice. The man normally worked out of the castle, so it was no wonder he wasn't a push over. Cojack sighed and waved the girls off before taking the rice over to a vat and began to tear the plastic off and pour the white and light brown cylinders into the boiling water. They had many mouths to feed so it was understandable to keep things greased and rolling. He walked over to another station and began to dab rice into wooden bowls before handing them out to hungry civilians.
