Champion Battle!

Tifa had just finished taking a dip in the marshy lake near the mountain chain. After several weeks of traveling on foot, with only a few chances to take a dip in a nice hot shower, this was the next best thing. Tifa blinks, watching the Chocobo's reaction. "Whats wrong?" she asked, not really expecting a response-rather just out of instinct asked. She turned her head to the direction of the Chocobo's wide terrified eyes, and then looks back at it. It was backing away, flapping it's wings frantically and causing some golden yellow feathers to fly out. Something was up, and she didn't like it. She steps towards the chocobo, trying to grab it so she could calm it down, perhaps ride it out of this now eerie area.

The chocobo was antsy to leave, but Tifa's comforting voice was enough to keep it there, at least for the moment. The chocobo took off in the direction toward the marsh's edge, where the Midgar Zolom could not tread. It could not move fast enough on dry land to catch any meals or survive, so it would be their only hope. The beast would be a mighty one to battle on her own.

She didn't expect the sudden rise in stamina or the log that the Chocobo leaped over; letting out a small scream as she landed in the shallow water. She had just tripped over a branch and was falling forward when the beast's tail smacked her hard and sent her flying far to her left causing her to roll under the water.
