Benzi Ocean Rift

Where the sea connects to the Benzi ocean.

The 'Wind Chaser' crossed between the threshold that connected the Scardian Ocean to the Weis Sea, known as the Benzi Ocean Rift. At one point in history, the Scardian Ocean was the Benzi Ocean, but with the fall of the Benzi empire, and the more able Scardian seamen, it was changed to the Scardian Ocean nearly a thousand years ago. The Rift usually yielded a decent catch for fishermen like Locke. He sets out his nets via the crane in the back of the Wind Chaser, and takes a seat in a lawn chair upon the deck. The golden sun was high above him, radiating its warm heat upon him. He laid back, arms behind his head, looking up at the blue sky as he coasted off the coast of Illurich Island. He turned his head to the jungle covered land, and remembered that it was owned by some hot shot billionaire, but that didn't deter him from wanting to explore it some.

He turned on the radio nearby and listened to it as he relaxed while his vessel did the work for him.

The radio crackled as it struggled for a decent signal, before picking up a broadcast of sorts:

"...and that concludes the report on the Silver Craft, which will be reopening very shortly. On a similar vein, the World Capital is still under lock down, with its main bridge having been destroyed after a startling attack of seemingly demonic origin. Memories of Demon Realm's portal opening back in 2639 have put many on edge. Air and Sea transport are the only physical means of traveling to the mountain top city in the coming weeks. Beijio has been recovering from its constant waves of strife, suffering from three dragon attacks, an assault made by the Crimson Knight Brigade and by... demonic pirates...? *flipping pages* Ahem, anyway, the situation is now finally easing back after its latest attack. High General Barduwulf Garamonde had no comment on the matter, only making the statement that 'he is too damn busy to make a comment', on the situation... at hand. The Empress of Beijio also had no comment on the manner and was unable to be reached in response. Experts believe the ensuing chaos has been caused by the presence of newly risen 'spires'; highly tall structures that seemed to have appeared from no where only a few weeks ago. One of the said spires was close to Ithteca, which was destroyed in a powerful and blinding explosion only two days ago. What they could mean is beyond our scope as World Officials and Travelers look into the structures. Till then, it is highly advised to stay away from said structures. An inky black sky could be seen in the Beiji-Scardian Archipelago yesterday as the 'Island of Death', Shi no Shima was spotted to be apparently 'burning' by passer by vessels. The odd island has been the series of countless disappearances and has been generally avoided throughout most of recorded history. There is no word yet if someone will be sent to the island to investigate given its mysterious and deadly curse...."

The radio continued, updating the world of the current events in past two weeks. It seemed like bad occurrence after bad occurrence around the planet as a whole...

Locke turned off the radio after listening to most of that. It left a dry feeling in his mouth as he now could not sit still and relax. "Hrm... so much for that..." He says with a sigh. He walks over to the edge of his ship and stares out to the Island which wasn't too far away via raft. His gut turned inside out with anxiousness, he wanted to explore the island, even after hearing what he did on the radio. He glances from the island to his raft, then back again. He had the cutlass and dagger... as well as his ancestral spear hanging in the cabin. He smirked. "Mm.... it wouldn't hurt to get my feet wet for a few minutes..." he smirks, grabbing his gear and preparing for a mini exploration. He made sure that his Selachi tooth was clear and visible, as they were seen around this area often. He lowered the orange life raft into the water and climbed in. Once inside, he activated the miniature motor and began to propel his way to the shore line.
