City Square
The city square, which was once the sight of bustling crowds and flourishing markets now stood a hastily made stage which doubled as a gallows. A podium is erected upon the stage, where Comandante Salazar now stood. Beside her, two heavily armed members of Gilded Tree stood at either side of her. They were carrying better equipment than the standard Gilded Tree Soldiers, and they were slightly more modernized and modified:
Gilded Tree called these men and women "Shock Troops", but the public had taken to calling them 'Fish Heads' due to their strange almost fish-shaped helmets. The Comandante smiled as she cleared her throat before speaking to the gathered crowds:
"Hola, freed people of Fenira; I am pleased to announce that after only three days, the Country's wealth and power has increased at it's all time high, the only other time was back in the year 1802." She started, looking to the people of the crowd. Some of them were looking hopeful, but many were still in shock and depression and or anger. She would hopefully change this over time.
She bowed her head. "As your new leader and confidant, I will make this Country as mighty as the sight of Scardia, and with our trade we will bury our competitors in Beijio!" she exclaimed, slamming her hand against the surface of the podium. Some of the crowd liked this, and roared with cheering. She continued to smile, looking at them before pointing to the pile of books that were amassed not too far from the stage. "Those books are spells and rituals that are bound to only Mages of exceptional skill. The Council made us to believe in a caste system which kept the average civilian in Fenira from even looking upon them, and those who had were executed without a second thought."
She closed her eyes, feeling a hint of depression hit her and she rose her left fist to her right breast, holding back tears. After a momentary pause she re-opened her eyes with a fierce fire and slammed her other hand against her other large breast, before she looked into the heavens-the salute of the Feniran Military. "I have lost many a comrade do to this old tradition, a tradition that allowed the Council to push us, the Feniran people, around like lowly dogs! So what I propose is to berid of this Neanderthallic custom, and to do that we will burn these books which only limit our potentials!" She cried, slamming her hands upon the podium, but this made mixed response with both 'boos' and cheers.
She swung her arm out towards the pile and looked agitated. "Those of you who are displeased, tell me why? Is it because these books give you a sense of pride? A place to mark where you've achieved as a Mage or Magus? I'll tell you: In the New Fenira, we are all alike my brothers and sisters; there will be no more High Mage and Novice, for everyone will have the same and equal training as the next!" this caused some cheering and this made her smile. She stepped down from the stage, and headed for the pyre. She turned to the crowd and saluted them. "We will now initiate a new Feniran Rule, by burying the old one, for good!" she exclaimed, picking up a book from the pile, which then sparked with magical fire. She then tossed the burning book into the pyre, causing an inferno of flame to rise up. Civilians cheered and cried as they watched their old world slip away, and give rise to the new.
Pleased with the results she turns to one of the guards and spoke into his ear and then takes her leave. The guard stepped forwards, holding the assault rifle in his hand firmly before looking at the crowd from behind his fish-like helmet. "Those who have books from the Old Order are to bring them to the pyre by order of Commander Agusta Jeanette Luisa Salazar the Third! Those who are unwilling will be escorted to their homes where a search and seizure will commence, and those who attempt to further resist will suffer extreme consequences!" the guard warned, and the fire ceremony commenced.
