Village Entrance Empty Village Entrance

A small little close-nit community. There is a well in the center of the village, and a dojo in the small forest area. This was also the place where Hiitengumi Vice Commander Aoushi Kurogasa was born and raised; he died 8 years ago on Ryunoshi Island.

Village Entrance Empty Re: Village Entrance

A group of men in ragged kimonos and hoods approached the entrance of the village. Six hours ago, a young boy had happened by the village when he heard the screams and the terror.

The boy had then ran into these 8 men; these eight men were of muscular and rugged build, and had multiple marks of being of unsavoury nature. Exiled and vilified from their own villagers, this was a small group of bandits that had taken the boy's information and decided it could be profitable to take the child's word on it (so long as he lead them here of course).

They had waited outside the village for a couple of hours, watching... waiting. They could see no village guard in the towers, and not so much a peep echoing into the forested valley in which they had waited. The only smells in the air were that of fire and spoiling meat. After they were sure it was safe, they finally had approached the wide open gates.

They looked about, weapons sheathed, but still ready as they scouted further, beyond the gate. They had known of this place, this area had been guarded fiercely by a warrior priestess, a Gunslinger, and a half-drunk Ninja; but now it looked as vacant and as empty as a graveyard.

The leader motioned them to 'run quiet', which also meant no killing unless in self defence. They then split off.

Kanade, who had been only recently hired by the group stands by the side of the entrance way of the Village with her large Nodachi held between her left shoulder and her breast. She looks up with her reddish eyes and then silently asks the leader: "Just to let you know, I don't like this. It's too quiet if you get my meaning. And in the worst case scenario, if the village was eradicated, whoever did it might still be nearby..." she held the sheathed blade in her left hand, walking up to the cloaked individual. "And in that scenario we are not equipped to take on what depopulated an entire village. This doesn't set right with me, if you know what I'm saying." she finishes, blinking while brushing aside one of her long black pigtails.

The leader turned to the 'hired hand', placing a hand on his hip (which held his scimitar) and leans before raising his right hand to speak. "Isn't that why we hired you? To handle such 'events'?" he asks redundantly. "We've waited long enough. We need to gather what we can from this village and then return to the caravan. We're only 'testing the waters', but if what we find proves fruitful we shall return with the entire might of the caravan. We're on a small time frame, and the more time we lose, the more money is lost. If you don't ''feel'' up for the job, you can leave. But mark my words, you won't get paid and we WILL find you again!" he spoke harshly but quietly yet. His eyes (which were the only part of his face which was not covered) were devoid of care and seemed to be filled with only greed and opportunity. "Now, head for the Temple. I'm going to stand watch right here." he says, leaning his back against the fence, crossing his arms.

Kanade sighs, rolling her eyes before closing them; her own arms crossed with her long katana-shaped greatsword Masayoshi's scabbard between the cleavage of her breasts, bowing towards the Leader of the Bandits slightly. "Jeez, get a break yeah? Yeah... I guess you can say I was hired for that purpose... but I'm not one to rush in and die too soon or run away after taking up a job either. Sheesh, you should take the pole out of your ass and get laid.." she sighs again, bonking her forehead with her left hand before opening her eyes, grabbing the long blade katana and turned in the direction of the Temple which could be easily seen from here. "...Fine." The three katana's on her left hip clanged as she walks with the long No-dachi behind her; the scabbard held in both hands and with the scabbard pressed against the back of her neck. She takes a few steps towards the temple when she adds: "Don't work yourself to death now; I'd hate to have not suffered as equally from such a strenuous activity such as ''standing watch''." she snarked before continuing her path.

Village Entrance Empty Re: Village Entrance

[from here]

It had been a few day's journey, riding her hover bike from the Far North to the Islands, using some ships between for rest... when she rolled up to the blackened ruins of the village. "Oh no... oh Gods no..." She gasped. She thought it was just a ruin, but no... this was her target location, the remains of Siamatsu village! She parked her bike, and descended, swinging one thick, sexy thigh off the bike, her heels splashing in the mud before she trotted through the burnt out remains of the gate and looked around the misty... empty city. It was like a war party had stormed through the place. So unnerved, she unholstered Belladonna, her custom revolver with its large frame mounted blade. The heft of the weapon felt nice in her right hand as she began to investigate the remains of the village...

By the Twelve above... what happened here? She asked herself as she progressed...
