Dawn of life until the age of the 'tor-

Little of note happened during this time as the lands where scarcely populated at first, until the advent of the 'tor also known as the God-born, Lizardmen.  Records of the 'tor and the earlier Beijionese people are kept in the royal library of Gendoshima, a small wing of the royal castle's library is dedicated to such histories and other information relating to the pre-historic periods of Galiavan.  Refer to the histories of the 'tor for further information including the volumes of the lost city of the 'tor, and the lost continent of the 'tor both riveting first person accounts passed down through the generations of the ancient civilization that our many of our ancestors came from.

Post 'tor, the age of the lost continent-

At some point in time, as recorded in the ancient volume of the Lost city of the 'tor, a catastrophic event occurred in which the Death god of the 'tor struck down the high temple and eradicated the ancient civilization of the 'tor wiping their very existence from the face of Galiavan.  It is believed that the lizardmen the self titled 'tor were a technologically advanced society from which much of our present day technology was derived from, triggered a cataclysmic seismic event which sunk their capital city as well as most of, if not their entire continent.  The volume of the lost continent confirms most of this, though it is debated by scholars that only part of their continent was lost as Gendoshima is believed to have historically been a small part of a much greater continent then it's present day which once included the lands ruled by the 'tor.  No precise records exist to confirm an exact location of either the lost city or the lost continent as Gendoshima has been isolated for millennia as noted in the modern history of Gendoshima.

During this time the Beast Kin and Humankind came to the Lost Continent settling among the Beijinese.

Age of the God's War-

Details of this time are recorded in the volume of the lost continent.  It is believed by our most respected scholars that powerful magicians roamed the remains of the continent of the 'tor.  Of these beings it is said there were numerous groups including a Demon Horde claiming to be the Horde of the 'tor, yet our records conflict the truth of any proper connection to the 'tor, save traces of lizardmen that we have seen proof of on rare occasion throughout our more modern history to link the 'tor and the Horde of the 'tor.  A race of winged beings, of fierce martial prowess and aesthetic appeal.  At least two distinct groups of magicians claiming to be Gods.  And last but not least the Death God of the 'tor.  History claims it this age was a period in which the gods fought until only one group remained live upon Galiavan... details are lacking as the war is said to have been the cause of Gendoshima becoming the island it is today.

At this point Galiavan history has been lost to the Gendoshiman people.  Some time during the God's War our island having been formed from their fighting was cut off from the rest of Galiavan by a mystical and apocalyptic event.  A sword, described as being the weapon of a god pierced our lands driving deep into the earth of our island home cracking ever so slightly releasing an all consuming mist over our island and the immediate waters around it.  We were removed from the world around us.  It is recorded that once a person leaves our lands by crossing beyond the mist they become spirits unable to return to lands of Gendoshima.  Over the years we have watched ships of the sea pass straight through our bodies and buildings as noted in later histories.

The Dark Age of Gendoshima-

We took the name Gendoshima during the Dark Age, history of our people are is scarce at this people passed along by word of mouth generation to generation.  The first structures were established during this time, though they were not constructed by either the gods, the 'tor or the Gendoshimen.  Some other group or individual was responsible for the first structures which were later added to and upon by the Beijionese people descended from one branch of the former slaves of the 'tor.

The original structure took centuries for our people to crack open, but it was the sturdiest of foundations for our capital city and governing body to rule from in the meantime.

The Stone Age to the Industrial Age-

We worked with the tools of our ancestors created and crafted throughout the generations, improved upon by our brightest minds developing our newer better tools.  Stone, copper, brass, bronze, iron, steel, all these technological Ages passed in what amounts to little to no time for once we opened the vault of the Maker King, the name given to the one responsible for creating and sealing our treasure trove of knowledge technological, mechanical and scientific.

The Maker King, had left many secrets within the walls of his vault, and we thrived for many generations.

The Age of the Blood War-

We find peace, but the price was our near extinction.  The three races fought one another for supremacy, power, authority, and the right to rule.  Our greatest weapons were unleashed at this time.  Magic users and Glaciers!  The Maker King's vault had contained weapons beyond our wildest dreams, imaginations, and reckoning.  First and foremost was the written records of technology, not the advanced things like the Glaciers, but what we now consider the basics and advanced knowledge.  Second were the tomes of magic which allowed many of our people to learn the arcane arts and commune with the elemental beings to harness their powers for our own.  And then their were the Glaciers, a thing to this day we only understand how to reproduce not create.

We used all three to bring our civilization to almost the same fate as that which our ancestors escaped when the 'tor were lost... extinction!

The Age of the Faith Breakers-

Peace was reached for our mutually assured survival.  First and foremost war was unofficially outlawed, we no longer would wage war to resolve our differences.  The foundation of our society was established.  A nation of peace, in which our military might was sectioned off from the governments control, we fear a second Blood War and rightfully so seeing as the power of the Glaciers was too terrifying they nearly destroyed us.

Gendoshimen ruling decree:

The military must stand apart, must never break from the faith of our people, must protect our nation and our peace even if that means defying the governing body, with as little force as possible, in the event of foreign invaders though the likelihood is improbable the use of extreme force is mandated not suggested.

The unwritten law of no war, became the unsung rule of authority, leadership passed from one ruler to the next peacefully for the most part, only a handful of changes of rulers happened with violence.  The peace obtained by this government system of Lord Reagents has stood the test of time.  But the Age is defined by the actions of the military during this period of history.  They stand tall proud keeping the peace armed with the Glaciers made first by the Maker King, they dub themselves the Faith Breakers, nicknaming the Glaciers and the military as a whole as the Faith breakers!

The Age of pre-Dawn-

Crime rises drastically, the Faith Breakers remove themselves from the situation to prevent a second Blood War.  The government shifts to a dichotomous system in which the Lord Reagent remains as the legitimate ruler of Gendoshima.  The criminal underworld rises to power equaling at first then off balancing the scales of power.  The first Wraith Reagent rises to power in the underworld to maintain the order and peace of the land, creating The Khan Blackguard to police the common people and the criminal elements of Gendoshima.  Eventually the system is tipped further off balance as criminals begin to via for the throne of the Lord Reagent himself, leading to the theft of three Glaciers from the Faith Breakers ranks by Zhao Fa Ling Dao Harada which he uses to take the position of Lord Reagent for himself.  Claiming the additional title of Gendoshima Hero for purifying the island his reign is cut short by the Faith Breakers, who duty sworn remove Zhao Ling Harada quietly from power and seize the remaining Glacier in his position the others having been sent outside of the boundaries of the Island of Gendoshima.

Present day-

The island is in flux from their last rulers short lived reign, the new Lord Reagent is coming to terms with his position and that of the Wraith Reagent.  The current Wraith has been trying to claim the Lord Reagent's position for himself as well.  A war between the Lord and Wraith Reagents is fast approaching, the Faith Breakers remain ever vigilant and separate from the troubles of the nation unless a Blood War needs preventing.  And what's more a religious sect has arisen striving for both Reagents thrones as well.
