Metro Temporary Base of Operations

"HADES and CHARON units, report in to Location 'STYX' on the double!" Radioed in the leader of the insertion team, Kana Taijiya, who was commander of the operation, the Captain of HADES unit and also the eldest sister of the younger Taijiya who was running the CHARON unit. The organization they were a part of was a secretive one, but it had permission- to a degree, to be where they were today. They were a group of some of the most sophisticated and well trained soldiers when it came to human and demonic beasts alike. In fact, the squadron had humble origins in Beijio under the Taijiya's, and since the time of the Dragon Emperor Benzi, there has always been a Taijiya who ran the Hunters, or in this case, Fiend Jaegers as it was called in the present day.

Kana was a widow, but a mother of a pair of twins, and was Thirty-Five. She had those kids young, and they were nearly 18 each now. "Some days I just wanna retire..." she says to herself, taking out a cigar and lighting it. As she waited for the rest of the crew to show up. Given how demons and monsters had a preference for the female flesh on a statistical scale anyway, the team was entirely comprised of women- usually. There were a few odds and ends who would show up, but most couldn't pass the simp test to actually get in and stay in. She shrugged, leaning against the collapsible table that she set up with one of the other Hunters, the radio equipment and computers were being set up on several of these interlocked tables in this relatively safe LZ, known as 'STYX'. She glanced up at the midway station sign, and exhaled a plume of smoke at it.

She turned to the one of the few rare guys on their team, and she so happened to be alone with the grunt. She leaned back against the table, arms folded under her large bosom, a smirk showing on her face: "Hey kid... wanna pass time?" She purred.

"Ahem..." Miyu Taijiya, said younger sister and commander of the second unit called out from behind her elder sister, Kana. "Commander... I would advise not to break protocol, especially ones you put in place yourself?" she half teased her superior.



Miyu was tall like her sister, but far more slender in appearance. She had large breasts, but they were smaller than Kana's whom had a pair of twins plus interesting eating habits. Miyu was twenty-five, a full ten years younger than her sister who raised her like a mother as well and was her mentor when it came to all things relating to their family's line of work. "Charon team reporting in, Mam." she says with a salute, before the other members of the team gathered round:

It was a bigger squad than normal, with only a handful of reserves left behind to tend to other, smaller matters. But they trained with each other, knew each other closely save Tora who was still new, but he was getting closer with them each day. "She didn't try anything unseemly I hope, Tora?" Miyu smirked, before returning her attention to the Elder Taijiya.

"W-wait...!" Screamed someone from behind, running at rapid pace, making all sorts of racket as she progressed down the tunnel!



She was carrying an auto-shotgun in one hand, a submachinegun with a bayonet attachment in the other, and was wearing a vest with both medical supplies as well as high explosives- she was:

"A-Auntie! Momma! I'm-I'm sorry, I overslept!"

She stood in line with the others, twiddling her thumbs, sweating bullets after waking up late and finding everyone had left the camp topside. She really wanted to help her mother and aunt, truly! She got decent medical education with Dr. Kamura as mentor, and knew how to handle explosives thanks to dating Irvine in Beijio for a while. "Hrrrmm....." she whimpered, blinking her father's blue eyes at the pair of elders.

Kana's lidded gaze fell upon her younger sister, and she scowled. "Always showing up to ruin my fun... well, save the time I met Yuzu's and Owara's father, couldn't stop me then." She chuckled. Then again... if she had I wouldn't have had those two... She thought, and as the team lined up, she was at first relieved- then... speaking of Yuzu, there she appeared- all green and nervous. Kana closed her eyes and sighed. Damn it... I thought we set her alarm far later! She must have woken up on her own... Well shit, can't really decline her participation now, can't I? She thought, before placing her hands on her hips and turned to face her youngest daughter of the set of twins.

"Ah, Yuzuru. Good to see you're here to join us!" She says as if she wanted her to come along. Granted, she did, but this mission was a tad much for someones first rodeo! At least Tora had some combat experience before being recruited, all Yuzu's combat training was on a range and screaming when she played with explosive mixtures... Her mother thought, but kept a smile on her face. "Yuzu will be acting as our Medic and demolitions expert should we encounter debris too difficult for us to remove." Kana explained to the team. There was eighteen of them, more than enough to get this job done, and they were being paid handsomely by Breland City to remove most of the ilk that had lingered the past 18 years in these tunnels, and supposed the Mayor wanted to reopen the tram line between Renoa and Breland again. Another interested group was the Elven Syndicate in the area, as they wanted to make use of Renoa as a closer shipping port to Minktail and Ithtecca with less the wait and cost.

"Gather round, Captain Miyu's going to organize our teams and brief us on the current mission parameters." She says, giving the floor to her younger sister.

Miyu glanced over to her niece with a less than amused scowl. She's too green for this mission. Best rip the bandaid off no- She was however, cut off by her elder sister's response, as if sensing her own thoughts. She glanced back to Kana with a glare of concern flashing across her eyes. You gotta be kidding me, she'll know I'll speak out against this! She thought, but...held her tongue on the matter, as she was told to explain to the other who was working with who and what was going on.

"...Right." She sighed, before walking over to an empty table, and laid out a map of the tunnels from 18 years back. "Today, we are only ordered to assess the destruction of the tunnels in the midway point, check for nests, and come in contact with any monsters still living down here. We are to at least capture or bring back samples of any unique creatures we encounter, and thus have been issued special Neutralization Bullets along with our live fire munition to take out any targets who may be too much a risk to capture alive." She explained, her ponytail swaying as she shot a glance to her team. "We'll be working as a squad till we hit these branching tunnels here," she says pointing at the map. "Then we'll split into two teams, HADES and CHARON." She then glanced back upward.

"Team CHARON is my unit, Dom, Celestyna, Shen, Sakura, you're with me." She began, before turning to the others. "Team HADES will be lead by Kana, and will be comprised of Heinkel, Mina, Yaiba, Widow," She paused, glancing up at her sister who motioned to her daughter with her eyes, and she then turned to Yuzu, her niece and sighed. "...and Yuzuru." She closed her eyes, sighing heavily, before reopening them. "Everyone else is on LZ security, and ready to act as backup and supplies should we call it in. Keep us informed, Lisa, Tora."

The pink haired girl smiled and saluted. "No problem!"

The young man nodded and gave her a thumbs up before Miyu nodded, satisfied with everyone's demeanour, save her nervous niece. "Our weapons are of course, 9mm Quicksilver Phantoms, these new Ak57-15 5.56 guns as well," she explained, holding up the rifle.






"as well as any weapon you're usually accustomed to using. Remember, blue taped mags are Neutralization Rounds, those without tape are live. So no worries if you hit one of our own with the blue tape munition, just be sure to carry your sister back if she happens to be disabled thanks to your shots. It should work like standard Neutralization ammo, just a little more powerful. Just the same, don't be spraying and praying out there- not that any of you would." She says, looking back to her greenhorn niece again...



Owara... I wouldn't have an issue in bringing... but Yuzu? She could get herself or others on this team seriously hurt... damn it, what are you thinking Kana? She thought to herself, and turned her gaze back to her elder sister. "Ready to move at your order."

Little did the sizable task force know just how dangerous the tunnels had become. What had previously been your average, run of the mill snakes no larger than two to three feet in length had mutated into an entire horde of various reptiles measuring over five feet or longer. Their width varied, but each was large enough to devour fully grown women of various races. Some were possessed of camouflage capabilities and still others had scales hard enough to deflect gunfire.

Two nearly universal traits defined the Serpens Multitudo (Serpent Horde). Two extremely prominent fangs extended past their lower jaws, saber tooth in nature. These fangs could deliver a powerful paralytic toxin to pacify even the most fiery of combatants though they were functioned just fine as deadly weapons as well. Dozens of the serpents scurried just below the surface still, waiting for foolhardy intruders thinking it a good idea to enter....

Kana could see the look in Miyu's eyes, but she ignored it. "Sounds like a plan, if everyone understands their stations, load up and move out!" She ordered, receiving a passionate 'huzzah' from the group. She pulled out her handgun, a small, compact silver thing that looked so small in her hands especially:



She checked the mag and then slid it back into place before pulling back the slide and setting the weapon's safety to off before sliding it inside her holster. She then picked up an MR-12 Tenik shotgun:



Eight shell capacity, it was a decent weapon. She turned to her daughter and smiled, despite her own reservations. "No worries my dear, you'll be fine as long as you stick close to me, and listen to what I say, when I say it. Keep your head down, and ears open. I won't let harm come upon you." she cooed, as she loaded up the shotgun. Monster hunting was in the Taijiya blood, it was best to learn how to deal with the beasts now than never.

"R-right..." Yuzu says in response to her mother, as she began to hook the y-cords around her chest to her weapons. She was using a semi-auto shotgun pistol used by the Izhevesk like the IZ-AK57s they were using, but this fired again, shotgun shells as opposed to rifle rounds:



She was also using a modified submachinegun with a custom bayonet, she called it her 'Gunblade' but it was really just an odd Taijiya design that was modified for the modern weapons of this day and age:



Though, she was more skilled on stitching up people, she was trained for the most part to end lives. Thankfully, she thought, it was going to be on monsters... which still didn't sit ALL too well on her mind, even with her mother's reassurance. "R-right, I'm ready Momma- er, Commander." She corrected herself, flustered as she readied her weapons, and munitions, and grabbed a handgun for her thigh holster.

Miyu loaded up her own weapons, the aforementioned weapons plus a tazer pistol. She grabbed a bunch of magazines for the rifle and handgun, before turning to her sister and niece. "Alright, lets advance. Hold down the fort Lisa." She says to the pink haired woman, before leading her team ahead of her sisters, stepping down onto the tracks and began to walk ahead of Kana's Unit, but moving slow enough for them to catch up. They were going to move as group till that intersection however. They turned on their attached flashlights to their weapons, and began sweeping the darkness as they moved along.

Yuzu picked up the 'Auto-Bibber 6996'- a highly ancient motion detection device devised in the 2280s. Thankfully, despite being shy and demure in appearance, she was actually quite strong and able to heft the large computerized device with one hand as she looked to her mother for support. "Are... we sure these things are fit for the job...? They're as agile as a toaster oven... weigh about as much as one as well!" She complained, but got into position with the others of the unit.

There was no external signs of movement larger than rats on the radar as they began to sweep the long, narrow tracks leading to the branching point- one way, the way HADES unit, Kana and Yuzu's unit were going to head down, would continue straight to Renoa after several miles. The other tunnel, which CHARON Unit, led by Miyu's group, would head to a pumping station that normally kept the station dry midway through the subterranean complex. At the moment... all signs were green.

Soon however, they were at the branching point, and Kana and Yuzu waved to Miyu. "Keep us informed, Miyu." She told her younger sister, waving her off, before taking shotgun in both hands, the attached flashlight beaming down the tunnel ahead of them, leading the HADES unit into the darkness.

Miyu pulled the bolt of her AK57/15, and turned to face her sister and niece. "Same to you. Happy hunting, Sis." She says, giving her niece a cursory glance before leading her team down the other tunnel, towards the pump station...
