The Reledor Royal Stables

Yen Xing Lanchester overlooked the stables, ensuring that no subtle subterfuge or magical tinkering befell the number of carriages nor the steeds to pull said carriages on the journey north. It was perhaps the umpteenth time they were checked over for sabotage or tampering, but such monotonous tasks were expected of the Queens Guard; and for good reason! Though Queens Marika, Faye and Alea worked as a team for this nation, their rivalry behind the scenes led to many an assassination attempt or potential maiming to try and one up the other women. Queen Alea was often the biggest target being she was an immortal being blessed with longevity; longevity that also made her quite experienced with attempts on her life and limb.



"Everything looks clear over here, Hel!" Yen Xing exclaimed to her superior. Yen was a tall and slender half Beijionese woman with an hourglass figure with long and shapely legs, long black hair that fell past her ass and with blunt bangs and long sidelocks in a typical hime cut style typical of many Beijionese women. Her eyes, however, were blood red like a vampire's, but she herself was not. Red eyes were a common trait in Goukudo's region, as many here have distant Sea Elf blood flowing through their veins. She was wearing a long black coat with a silver silk lining with lace trim sleeves, and the depiction of a dragon on the inside of her coat that fell past her knees, with the collar popped around her neck. She wears a thin, strapless, white silk, lace trim Beijionese dress with a double high leg slit that showed off her entire upper hips, thighs and legs while a deep plunging v-neck that shows off her cleavage; the cloth tight enough to emboss her nipples as well. The dress only falls to her mid thigh, and the thin material often allows one to notice her black lace, high leg, crotchless g-string.

She wears lace trim thigh band thigh high stockings, a white lacy choker with a Goukudo charm hanging off the center with a jade bead and red silk tassels, and black and silver Beijionese heels. The woman also carried a long scabbard with a crimson rope cord, which was Yen's double kodachi, her weapon of choice:

"Conduct another safety check, we can't be too sure. Queen Alea is our priority today, we cannot afford to be careless." answered Hel Halvorsen, the Chief Valkyrie in the Queens Guard:  



A tall, slender woman with a slight hourglass figure and short two toned platinum blond and raven black hair, Hel was unmistakable within the Queen's Guard, and as the 'Chief Valkyrie' it meant she was the head of security and also the most uncorruptable member of the three Queen's retinue. Her skin was pale, her eyes gold, narrow and piercing like a hawk's. She had a mole to the lower right of her lips, lips painted a matte black that matched the dark eye liner that accented her long, dark lashes. A pair of palladium earrings dangle from each of her ears, a pauldron on her left shoulder, the massive head of her preferred weapon, Gungnir, and her winged visor were also made of the rare metallic ore palladium or 'Gods Metal'. They were artifacts of Forerunner Technology passed down Hel's family line, as she herself was a descendant of the ancient Forerunner Race:



Hel's curvy rear end swished as she walked about the stable. Her uniform was skin tight, and eye catching for many a male and female admirer. Her hips swayed, the taut white suit pants accenting the curvaceous hills of her buttocks and shapely thighs as she wandered and inspected the stable. Her suit jacket, pants and tie held elements of palladium with a palladium threaded trim, buttons and accent pieces on her sleeves and cuffs of her pants. The suit was otherwise white silk, with a black satin lining, paired with a silk button down dark grey dress shirt with a red silk tie with decorative embroidery embossed into the tie. A pair of black leather gloves with lower palm and wrist vents and a pair of black high heels with palladium trim toes adorn her feet. Underneath it all, today, Hel was wearing a black lace trim bra and matching panties. Hel was every inch the depiction of a beautiful and tranquil battle maiden.

"No slacking Yen Xing, you'll be riding with the Queen after all. There is no room for error, you will be the Queen's last line of defense should there be a breach of her carriage. It's time to prove yourself worthy of a Queens Guard Valkyrie." Hel added in that cool, impersonal tone as she glared at Yen expectantly. "Queen Alea has been on this plane over two millennia and is a symbol of the Goukudo people. Gods willing, the Immortal Queen will get to experience another two millennia should her Queens Guard prove their mettle time and again. I have faith that you will do your upmost to protect her on her journey northward." Hel finished.

Yen sighed at the order, but felt more pensive about the mission ahead. "I'm the youngest ever to be given such an honor... its all a bit, well... I feel like the whole world is watching." The nineteen year old stated to her superior as she continued to check for magical or physical disturbances. Yen was of the Lanchester family, a group of immigrant Feniran mages who excelled at magic, but she could only perform the most average of spells like the one she used now to scan for any magical disturbances. Yen Xing however excelled best at Goukudo Martial arts; a variation of Beijionese Martial Arts that incorporated more Tai Shi and Kenpo into their fluid move set over the more rigid and grounded Beijionese styles. Of her esteemed family of Magi, only her grandmother excelled in both Goukudo Martial arts and potent magic, and was the only one willing to help her when she showed little magical promise. This task, of protecting the Queen was a way to show her family that she didn't need their magical backing to exceed at something! However... she was wracked with nerves now she was taking center stage...

"The world is watching. Its why you mustn't make room for even the tiniest of errors. As the oldest saying goes, 'when in doubt, check it out'. Even so, you are a soldier in the Queen's Guard, you should be above this anxiety. Simply do your job." She answered coldly, but was only speaking as the superior and veteran. "...if you are not up for this task, I can divert you to rear guard." She added, placing a hand on her hip as she observed the younger woman. "I was told you excelled in your class, that you had aced the academy with top marks at the age of 17 and for the past two years been hard at work with the Military Guild till you could finally be assigned to the Queen's Guard. Are you the same woman I hired and waited two years for? Or has doubt and anxiety devoured that woman and left me a girl needing to be swaddled?" Hel chides.

"W-what? No! I don't want to be diverted to the rear guard! No mam, I'm fully capable of performing this task!" Yen Xing replied, her anxiety ramping up! She didn't want to lose this opportunity, to finally prove herself and her family she wasn't useless. They weren't kidding at the academy... Hellmaster Hel makes sense, she doesn't pull her punches, she just lays out on you! Yen thought, gulping. "It's just pre-battle jitters. I mean, part of me is excited and the other half is anxious. I just want this trip to go smoothly is all!"

"Then get your act together. The only way this trip will go smoothly is if you do your job. Keep to task, keep alert and keep the Queen alive. Rationalize your surroundings, and be ready to strike if something feels off. I don't want you to be jumpy and dice up some poor foreigner who wanders up to the caravan; I need you to be able to discern who is a threat and who isn't. If you are too anxious, you'll be of no use to me or my Queen's Guard. You need to be calm, cool, collected and most of all rational... And don't call me 'mam', its just Hel." the woman said with a slight change in her facial expression. Her eyes were lidded and her cheeks seemed to puff slightly. Damn it... now I feel old. Godsdamned kids these days... I told her already when we met in the office not to call me 'Mam' or 'Lady' or anything like that...! I swear, she does it again I'm going to smack the side of her head! I'm not old! Hel mentally grumbled.

"I-I am, I will. Hel." answered Yen who clutched the scabbard of her double kodachi nervously and bowed to Hel repeatedly. "I-I'm going to check the carriages once more!" She added, before heading over to do as she stated. Gods it feels weird to be calling someone so esteemed as Lady Hel so... informally! I don't even think I call Papa without an honorific... Yen gulped as she resumed her duties.
