Zombify the world, it’s not a creed of necromancers.  Do they have a creed?  Xander Hexadic watched once again as the alien designed spacecraft of the Void Dragon ascended toward the moons and outer space.  But that was not the destination this time around, only the focus of his gaze as the insectoid spacecraft arched through the dark sky.  His eyes lingered on the moons of Galiavan for a time even as the ship began its descent to the next location on his list for building an army worthy of a Necromancer’s art.  

He should have sought out one of his grimoires but it would make little difference at this point.  He could as easily perform the ceremonies and incantations from memory, his life before had been devoted to the art of necromancy and a number of other ritualistic magics and practices.

He had a skeleton crew…

That was almost a literal thing at this point.  Those mostly worthless pawns that had been provided to him were now down to a handful, of which some actually were skeletons.  The alien design of the spaceship made its way across the higher atmosphere of Galiavan toward its next destination, while Xander took some time to himself, while he considered his next move.  Souls were in abundance but good warriors. Good bodies for those souls were another thing to come by altogether.  

But he knew of a place where he could find just what he needed, the perfect complement to the complement of souls he intended to summon forth.  Bodies perfect for the job of housing the dead, the loyal and obedient dead.  Sometimes you just have to stop and consider the reality of the situation before you, in order to appreciate life’s ironies.  And that was what Xander had been doing.  

Alexilia Tenik was a good example of his handy work in life, she was his prized possession once upon a time.  Well preserved that one.  Although her corpse had started to rot and decay, it shouldn’t have, but it was.  And he knew exactly why it had started to decay. It was just one more problem he was intending to deal with when he had a free fucking moment without a leash threatening to eradicate him.  First it was J.J. that old bitch thankfully she was long since dead, and now it was the Void Dragon putting him in a position he didn’t particularly want to be in.

Although he wasn’t entirely against the current status quo, the assignment was in his favor despite whatever reasons the Void dragon had for picking his target, Xander would have gone to the Moons eventually anyway.  It was all part of his agenda.  The moons would have been a bit lower on his list of things to do after returning to life.  Primarily, because when he died there was no traveling to the moon, or corporation funded moon bases there.  Times certainly had changed since he was gone.  He was still picking through the information from the souls he had encountered since returning to life.  The more recently dead anyway, bringing him up to speed on the current state of things in the world.  

Much to consider, and slowly he was being joined by others whether he sought them out or not, they found him in no time at all as he moved forward.

And that was just the beginning not counting the insectoid spacecraft.





He was skeptical about his new allies, but that was only natural for a necromancer of his time, hell of any time for that matter.  Necromancy not being an acceptable magical practice by the populace at large.  Trust issues, understatement for Xander.  Breathing deeply he finally looked away from the Moons of Galiavan,they would have to wait a little while longer, all things in due time of course.  But first he had a night raid to perform and he was busying himself with the controls of the spacecraft mastering the ship as quickly as he could.

“Hmp, really now.”

Xander looked the controls over a second and third time, if he understood it right, and he was fairly certain that he did.  This was going to save a lot of time, and make this stop much, much, shorter.  Flipping the lever, pulling the knob, twisting the dial, adjusting the horizontal diaphragm, and shifting the vertical thrust adjuster…ok he pressed a single button and down below in the Minktail region a mausoleum slowly lifted free of its foundation.  Rising into the air a crypt full of Elvish corpses, pristine, perfect bodies.  Superior in the minds of many to normal man, preserved for all of time, frankly stealing elvish corpses was like going to a grocery store for necromancers.  All the best cuts, prime choice, premium blends, at bargain basement prices.

“Wargods, you got to love the stupidity of the Elvish culture. They practically served up an army on a silver platter to me.  Hehehe”





Oh how he hated his laugh, but it was his laugh and he was stuck with it.  One more stop he thought as he continued to bring the mausoleum into the spaceship’s cargo hold.  Amazing the technology this Void Dragon was just handing out.  He would have to go over the ship with a fine tooth comb to make sure it was truly under his control and not just a loaner at some point in time.  Now that had the Elvish corpses to catalog and begin building his proper army with, he felt the others would be appropriate as well Demon corpses.  And he knew of a fairly good place to acquire what he hoped would be a good supply to compliment his Elvish undead forces.
