Freezer Room & Pantry

Emi aimed down the sights of her assault rifle, gulping dryly and wishing she stopped for water before she chose to investigate the damn pantry for the tiny man-eating pipsqueak! The demon in human form could have indeed just left, but she wasn't going to let her guard down till she saw another mortal being in front of her or the little bastard so she could shoot it! The room was dark, and while keeping her hand on the pistol grip, she reached over with her left arm across her chest under her raised right arm to awkwardly flick the lights on inside the pantry.

Within moments, and several fumbles, the florescent lights flicker to life in front of her eyes. The room was ransacked of provisions, several months worth of food devoured; garbage left about as if the perpetrator had been raised in a barn. Can't expect much manners for a little demon who eats people and farts death now, can we? She didn't think so. She pushed forward, kicking boxes gently aside, having a need to check the freezer before she felt safe enough to scavenge the kitchen for supplies. Next to the freezer, and with a slight kick, the door opened into the large walk in ice box. "Shit... of course its dark in there too." She frowned, feeling around the interior for a light switch... which felt stupid to her after the fact; the walls got iced over after all! She checked the wall outside, and found a small dial she assumed was the temperature gauge. Sighing, she held out her left hand, lowering the rifle slightly at an angle. "Okay... might have enough for this..." She says to herself, her ruby eyes glowing bright red, her hand weakly emitting a small orb of light that flickered like a dying flashlight. She took a look inside, the cold air chilling her to the bone as she walked deeper. "I have enough mana for a couple minutes worth of magical light... gotta keep focused..." She breathed, her breath becoming fog in the ice box. So far, from her vision, even this box was devoid of produce. No meats hanging from the hooks, drag marks on the ground of something smooth... boot scuffs which made her frown when she saw an ice covered boot... the ice looked like green slime like saliva. She grimaced. "Nope... no survivors here cap'n, might wanna check somewhere else..." she says to herself, feeling not too brave with a gun that did shit for the people who used it before her. She kept her backward walking pace till she felt warmer air, before turning around and bolting for the kitchen again! She wasn't paid enough to handle this shit, she wouldn't do this even if she was paid triple the amount of her salary! Nothing in this physical nor metaphysical plain would keep her a minute longer in this house, even if it smacked her dead in the face! She bolted, running, running blindly, she needed to get the hell out of here!

Karin was entering the kitchen pantry when the blue haired woman made a mad dash her direction! She couldn't help herself, her instincts, her training kicking in as soon as she saw the weapon flailing in Emi's hand reached out and grabbed the wrist! "Huaah," Karin grunted, pulling the arm forward, gripping tight enough to cause Emi to lose her grip on the rifle before Karin tuned, swinging the woman's weight over her shoulder, throwing the blue haired mage! "-HAAAAAAH!"Emi went heels over head, before landing on her back- arm still firmly gripped in Karin's hand. Karin placed her boot on Emi's neck, and with her free hand trained the combat pistol down at the woman's head. "Don't move..." Karin warns. Karin Ichigaya was a mercenary hired by the Renston family, but had been late for duty by a week or so. She had just arrived, and found the sad state of the manor troubling, and went looking for survivors or the one responsible for the massacre. Karin was young, but well trained, and had a big Quicksilver Sniper Rifle on her back. "Now... when you've calmed down, and don't jump at people like a crazy person... I'll release my boot from your neck... and will let go of your arm..." She says to the blue haired beauty beneath her. "Okay...?" She asked. In truth, she was quite startled by this woman when she heard the noises, and when she came charging at her held back from opening fire.

Emi, who was too tired, too scared to notice and fight back, quickly submitted to the woman... though she wasn't sure if she still had an arm left.

"...ouch." She wheezed, her voice hoarse with the boot on her neck. What arm? You've practically broke it! Still... good to see a human that isn't a corpse. She thought, and gently nodded to the young girl's demands. She looked her over from this angle... she was in your standard mercenary garb, but she never seen her around the manor before this moment. I wonder... she may have been Alastor's replacement. She reflected upon the short time the young man was attending the manor... he and TOM did NOT get along well...

Her free hand clapped at the boot on her throat, her face turning blue. "Breathe... breathe... can't...breathe...!" She gasped, squirming under the teen's dominance, and didn't care about the pistol being trained on her forehead.
