A medium sized office where Security Personnel meet and report on a weekly basis. It's also used as a place to eat on break.

Briefing Room Empty Re: Briefing Room

Post  Steven Blake Tue Feb 02, 2021 7:15 pm

Steve sat in the briefing room in his new uniform, nervously sitting in the tiny, cramped seat. He had arrived recently, and was waiting for orientation of his duties and such, but... seemed to be the only one being trained today. Or very. VERY. Early.

He looked around, patting his legs with his hands, looking over to the huge holographic projector machine and whistled to himself. He knew about the recent attacks, and that made an opening for more guards... but this was eerie. Even the woman who lead him to the locker room to change then brought him here wasn't around. He supposed he'd have to wait for the chief of security to arrive then...

Suddenly, the walls and floor began to shake violently...

Steve nearly fell out of his seat, snapped out of his idleness he looks around. Can an ocean have an earthquake? He thought to himself, but heard the sound of moving footsteps. Stepping out into the hall, he saw other security guards dressed like him rushing by!

"Hey!" He called out, pulling himself out of the briefing room. "What the hell's going on?!"

A guard regarded him long enough to answer: "Follow us newbie!" before tossing him a belt with a handgun slung to it!

He regarded the accessory seriously, feeling a little shocked that he was tossed his gun and belt so unabashedly and had to be thrown right into the thick of what was clearly a life-or-death situation! I just got dressed, and something goes wrong here? How understaffed are we? And why didn't I hear some sort of alarm?!

He glanced back to his superior, who, was already gone. "No matter," he slid the belt on as he ran, the buckle snapping shut with a loud click. "-on the clock!" He then drew his new sidearm, and flicked off the safety.
