Rachel Renston wrote:"Hm... the footage suggests that, doesn't it?" she says, leaning forward a little. "I shall hold my judgement of the situation to myself. In either case, this about settling an agreement. Though of course I am borne witness of your technological might, if this situation brews further, the casualties would be inconceivable. My cannon, the one I've worked on since I was a mere child is no mere toy gun, I assure you." she says, that last bit she puffed her cheeks a little, humiliated by his response.

Upon seeing more of his form, she was taken aback. He was reptilian looking, and was adorned with heavy artillery mounted onto his shoulders. The way he looked at her was... unsettling, to say the least. Then she spoke: "Well, I am hardly of status to meet with such a dignified leader, but I am graciously amused that she would like me to grace her presence; and I am gracious for your future hospitality, Overlord." she says, standing up. She was beautiful, tall, a little young, but right now she looked all the more like her mother as she bowed to him. "Till we meet, Overlord." she finishes.

The chreature seemingly chuckled a little.  "I mean no disrespect, Commander Renston.  And for a higher end Type I Civilisation, it is a marvel of engineering, but you see, we have faced upwards of Type VI Civilisations before many times, and as you can imagine, we may find such weapons to be... less than worrisome."

"Indeed, as it would seem you have an oncoming transmission from the surface.  until we...." At this point, the Overlord's transmission was hacked into by Rufus Tenik.

Rufus Tenik wrote:"...STOP!" Entered the Vice President's audio. Since the PDA he had had no working camera, this would have to do for now. Besides... it was less awkward this way. "Halt your activities, Chief Renston. Not only did you disobey notifying the chain of command, you are about to make a seriously grave mistake!" He exclaimed, coughing hoarsely. "Do you honestly believe that he will seize his fire? A commander waits as his opponents come to him. You have no idea of his capabilities, and his word means moot. Stand down, now. Not only as the Vice President, but as the daughter of one of my most trusted advisers, please, stand down!" he screamed.

"Ah, Rufus Tenik.  One of our HVTs.  This is a most unexpected surprise.  It may shock you to learn, human, that our Empress has actually withdrawn those orders.  Why do you think Ithteca still stands?"

Rachel Renston wrote:She pouted a little. Though what he said about meeting 'other civilizations' made her feel a pinch more unnerved. "Well..." she was about to further her response when Rufus chimed in. She grew red in the face, her lips curled down and her brows pressed down and together into a contortion of anger. "Rufus, please, now is not the time. How about you let the people who were actually appointed to their current positions in power, 'handle it', besides you'll only get in the way." she scoffed, jerking her head to the right. Despite his visual not being received, his audio appeared to come from the left, beside the depiction of the Overlord to the right. At the sound of Ithteca, Rachel froze and paled. Asura commanded that region... she was tough as nails, and was previously an invading commander herself. She would know what to have done to keep the city safe. As for HTV, she didn't understand the acronym. She remained quiet for now, and listened in to the banter between the VP and the Overlord.

Rufus Tenik wrote:Rufus ignored Rachel's banter for the moment, switching his attention onto the Overlord. "...Ithteca is a tough city," he replied, "It wouldn't fall easily, even if the heavens itself opened up and rained hell fire, she's our shining gem for a reason." he replied. Already, two minutes with this creature, Rufus found himself speaking like he had when he controlled this entire planet with fear and wealth. "For a...what Civilization Branch are you again? Well, not that it matters, but for creatures' who seem quite advanced.... you took your time to arrive. I am Vice President Rufus Tenik, of the ADN, and I am more shocked that I was not made aware of the situation brewing above our airspace. Now I know, that my unpretentious Commander has made bold claims, but as her superior officer, I amend to revoke her proposition on the means that...well quite frankly, Overlord; I don't trust you."

The massive creature chuckled again.  "Do I sense dissention in the ranks?  If I had not had my orders, you know I could have taken advantage of that.  Nevertheless I have my orders to standby."

When Rufus made his boasting about Ithteca, the creature merely shrugged.  "And yet, the only reason your 'shining gem' was spared was due to the efforts of one War God's courage.  Alastor managed to courageously hold off our Empress long enough to reconsider your world's termination.  That said, other considerations have been made known to us...  Which is why we are holding at the moment, and willing to speak to your people."

The creature merely grinned again.  "We are a Class V Civilisation.  Ah, and you believe that you are trustworthy among your own people to make that decision?  Your little banter game amuses me Rufus, but you are already too late.  Our Empress is already sending emissaries to the individual nations leaders to make them more informed of our intentions.  Your ADN's co-operation would have been valued, but it is not essential."

Rachel lets out a sigh. She swiped over the console, looking at the audio waves that represented Rufus and cut him off, ending his session.

Rufus blinked at the screen, his jaw hung open. "That woman seriously hung up on me..." he closed his eyes pressing the device against his forehead. He didn't want to tell the truth about Ithteca. He played the idiot card for that section, stating how it was a 'shining gem'. Not till a few years ago it was a mountain rat nest. Till the Overlord brought it up, he had no such knowledge of the city's attack. He was just there a few hours ago. Civilization V.... he had no idea what that meant. He assumed progress of a civilization is classified by Class I to above VI as he had heard prior. If this was their way of boasting their superiority then he was sure that they were going to be significantly harder to deal with. He needed to mobilize troops, forces. Get them ready. He was not sure what Rachel was doing, the damned foolish girl. But he had to prepare.

He started sending out texts through his private line, and with his doctor. He needed to leave this infirmary.

A small beeping noise radiated from the PDA not too long after. A small video appeared, and though Rachel's voice could be heard, she wasn't on camera:

Rachel Renston wrote:As her unmanned gunship got within range, she twisted the button on her right breast, adjusting the hidden camera. "Rufus... you hear me?" she says softly. "Just to let you know, I won't be able to hear you. But regardless, I've decided to record everything in the event something bad will happen. So please, keep your eyes and ears open. We may not get another chance." She whispered, letting out a nervous shuttering breath. She watched as her squadron began to peel back. It was clear that she was near the flag ship now.

It was clear that she was near the flag ship now.

Rufus paused his activities, and sighed heavily as he listened to what she said. "Rachel... you're becoming too much like your father, a damn fool who meddles too deep with matters that are out of our understanding..." he says softly, shaking his head left to right. He watched on.

The view from Rachel's cockpit was extraordinary.  The massive structure that served as the Great Gate was still disgorging ships like a thousand machineguns would spew bullets.  And everywhere the sector was crowded with thousands, upon thousands of starships of every class, grade and type.  As she moved through the fleet, the ships were becoming more and more esoteric, and larger, and more evil looking the deeper she went within their ranks.  Eventually, after 15 minutes of travelling through the fleet lines, her eyes caught sight of the massive, claw shaped, black hulled behemoth of a starship that dwarved the Colony considerably.  It had hard, lines and stark edges that looked like it could glide through flesh and bone.

"This is the Starship Evilution.  You are cleared to dock in hangar bay #4.  Please follow your homing beacon."  came the gravelly voice of the dock sergeant.

Rachel gulped, feeling the swell in her throat vanish while her attention waned from ship to ship.

She shivered at the tone of the voice, but did his bidding as she set the guidance system to the homing beacon in Hangar Bay 4... exhaling evenly as her tiny gunship smoothly made it's way towards the hangar bay's docking station. The light around her seem to darken... She let out steady breaths as her ship docked. When it was clear for her to exit the vehicle, she stood up from her seat and awaited the door to slide open.

As Rachel exited her ship, she would see partial advanced technology, and partial organic matter, fused into techno-organic matter.  The air was normalised, though, strangely.  But the atmosphere was palpable, like walking into the heart of darkness itself.

Working around the docks and cargo hold were thousands of, what appeared to be entranced mortal beings, many of them humanoid, and some even human, like herself.  But their gaze was vacant, and their movements seemed stiff and sluggish, like their will was not their own.  Among their numbers, some even appeared to have advanced cybernetic prosthetics.  Cyborgs.

Standing guard were no less than six of what appeared to be soldier type cyborgs awaiting her at the exit ramp.

Medical Wing (Second Floor) - Page 2 Latest?cb=20110131153504

However, when they confirmed that she was alone, they stood down, and allowed their guides passage.

There were a pair of flanking female cyborgs, who possessed a weapon prosthetic on their left arms, and a set of wickedly sharp talons on their right hands.

Next, one of the creatures that seemed to be unmodified by technology, but was rather a hideous hybrid of a human and a spider.

Medical Wing (Second Floor) - Page 2 Doom-3-Sikkmod-Wulfen-HD-LUT-16a-BOSS-VAGARY-BEAUTIFUL

And lastly was another cybernetic abomination that seemed to float in the air, rather than walk.

Medical Wing (Second Floor) - Page 2 Latest?cb=20110131153544

The floating one spoke to Rachel.  "Welcome to the Evilution, Commander.  Please, follow us."

Rachel looked from creature to creature with mix of curiosity and horror. Though some of these creatures looked like they were loyal, upon looking at their vacant and distant faces they looked almost brainwashed...if not lobotomised. She held back her rising emotions, turning to the floating cybernetic being... "Thank you..." she said in a polite, yet quiet tone. These things surrounding her all look mechanized to an extent, but she could tell, they were still organic in nature. "Biomechanical, huh?" she says softly to herself. She glanced down the corridor that the floating creature was leading her. "The Overlord... how often does he receive guests?" she asked the floating abomination.

Between the large entrance and the grotesque soldiers awaiting her, Rufus felt his stomach shrivel in viewing the total size of the enemy might. At least, the portion of the portion that was in space. The large gate bothered him greatly.

Rachel Renston wrote:

The floating one merely looked at Rachel's face with a glint in her optic implant and smiled slightly.  "The Overlord has guests as often as he can.  Though admittedly, in our lines of work, that is not as often as he likes." The floating woman didn't offer up much more than that as she lead the guest and the entourage through the broad corridors and hallways.  The deeper they entered the ship, the more esoteric the creatures that crossed their paths.  Multitudes of more advanced cybernetic lifeforms, varied in origins and appearance, but more curiously, several more unmodified beings became more and more common.  These where the full blooded demons that usually elect to forgo cybernetic enhancement, preferring to remain in their natural state, though this was far from a universal rule, as a huge lumbering titan seemingly stomped through an intersection just ahead of them.

Medical Wing (Second Floor) - Page 2 Cyberdemon_from_Doom_3_by_Samuel71

... "Thanks for the vague input..." she thought to herself, and continued to follow her host. The clicking of her heels against the flooring sounded eerie in this dark space,...she stood before the juggernaut of a creature. She froze, ....she slowly side stepped around the creature...

Rachel Renston wrote:

Rachel's escort seemed unaffected by the lumbering titan's gait, and wove through the creatures legs effortlessly.  The floating Iron Maiden noticed her charge's stare and her expression change.  "A Demolisher Class Cyberdemon.  A race of pure warriors who, once, were one of the greatest magic practitioners in all our domains.  Almost all as one, these Hellfire King's eschewed their magical powers in favour of their cybernetic augmentations.  Only the oldest of their race remain completely unaltered, but most have managed to balance their sorcery with their augmentations."  The guide turned back towards Rachel.  "Do not worry, as long as you don't go wandering off, you will not be harmed."

She gulped. "How...comforting to know." she then ambles around the tall Cyberdemon and followed the Iron Maiden. She sighed... "Excuse me, but how much further, till we see the Overlord?" she asked... she kept her pace at a medium, her arms by her swaying hips and the gun in her holster rattling against leather while her shiny heels continued to click.

The large creature was formidable. He thought even a battalion of tanks and bomber aircraft would have trouble against a creature of this size. He continued to remain silent, and watched anxiously.

"Quite soon.  We'll be taking a gravity lift to the observation deck, where he, and our Empress await you.  It would seem your decision to come and parlay has caught the Empress' attention."  replied the Iron Maiden, as she gestured for Rachel to stand on a huge glowing rounded disk beside where she floated.  "When you step onto the disk, simply stand still.  Try not to think of the motion or momentum, as you will not feel it, but you will fall off if you try to overcompensate.  Try thinking of it as standing in an elevator that can move in any direction."

...looking over at the Iron Maiden before the disk. ...She took a deep breath and proceeded towards the disk, standing onto it before turning to face the Iron Maiden once more. "Your information travels fast. How long did it take your Empress to arrive here? I can only imagine what her ship looks like compared to this one." she says...

Rachel Renston wrote:The way that cyborg smiled made her feel a rising chill that frosted over her lungs, keeping her from breathing. The following words were not any less chilling:

Darkstorm Zero wrote:"We are all mentally connected to our Empress, and she moves through our forces at her will.  She is the Last of the Fallen, and possesses all the power of original creation.  Time and space do not hold sway over her.  She can appear in any place at her will."

...She ventured throughout the entirety of the ship. It's massive bulwarks and the sheer number of personnel were astounding! She figured that there were more workers down below than the entire population, Military Staff and Civilians alike of the moon base. She couldn't figure the technology required to have built such a monster of a space fortress...

They were well prepared for battle it looked. Vehicles, Vessels, Soldiers, all of them were being prepped and drilled. She could tell, these folks were not going to stand down easily. Soon the disk arrived at it's destination, and brought the beautiful young Rachel into the dome like chamber of the bridge. She took to looking up at the stars that she had grown accustom to viewing over her time as a Section Chief. She felt the disk connect and she took that dull click as an indication to proceed.

Darkstorm Zero wrote:"Ah, and so our guest arrives at last." came the rumbling voice of the Overlord as the disk remained still and locked into the floor, allowing it's passengers to disembark.  "I trust your journey to us here was uneventful Commander Renston?"

Looking over to the Overlord in person... The beast that sat behind the chair she'd seen in the video was ugly; up close he was absolutely hideous...He was certainly far larger than he looked on screen, towering her almost. His large yellow eyes blinked and continued to leer into her... She coughed, not wanting to be rude and keep him waiting any longer, she daringly approached him. "I am indeed here," she started with the pleasantries, bowing with her hands at her side, her breasts hanging forwards and swaying unintentionally as they usually do. Her tall shapely frame then stood erect, noting his gruesome appearance again before smirking. "I am honoured to be allowed to step aboard such a magnificent vessel, Overlord." She continued. She had her arms behind her back now, and she tapped the heel of her left high heel against the floor, letting the metallic clicks ring out.

"I found the trip to be...quite an experience. Your guide was quite helpful in giving me a tour of your facilities as I made my journey to the bridge." she stated, her eyes scanning the room between glances at the Overlord's large yellow eyes. She didn't see any sign of this 'Empress' yet, but if she was there then she had yet wanted to reveal herself. "So far, your hospitality has been quite welcoming. Though I must admit, I do find it odd...that you'd just up and agree to speak face to face with me. I didn't need Rufus to tell me that much." she said, her smile a waning moon, her dark brown eyes flashing. She continued to look for this Empress, but then returned to the Overlord again. "I mean, we were only trying to vaporize each other mere hours ago. And I am curious, why would my parlay interest your Empress? I mean... if she's as omnipotent as she says she is... I am curious why she'd bother to witness a parlay between you and I." she paused, before chuckling. "I'm sorry, I've been rambling. Its probably a good thing your sitting, I probably half bored you to death with my inquisition." she said jokingly, pressing her butt against the side of a console, arms folded under her breasts, almost squeezing them together as she leaned over, allowing herself a better view of the machinery behind the computation device.

He paled at their numbers, and grimaced at how bold Renston was becoming. "Dammit, I shouldn't have put you up on that moon..." he grumbled, watching on with a pinch in his stomach.

Darkstorm Zero wrote:

The Overlord's chuckle was much more rumbling in person, as it's grin again rippled and flexed it's lipless toothy grin.  "I am sure you have many questions of us.  And indeed, I will not lie, our original intent was indeed conquest.  However, as I mentioned only briefly, a rather... unique complication has arisen that has forced us to change our priorities.  As to what my Empress and the War Chief wish to explain to you, I will not speak for them.  You may ask them yourself..."  The Overlord turned around, revealing in the distance behind him a very human sized couch and chairs around a table.  Standing beside the set was a cybernetic creature even larger than the Overlord, gazing out towards the stars, and beside him, stood a tall, but not inhumanly tall person, with, what appeared to be wings, horns and a long, thick spaded tail.  Her jet black hair flowed straight down to the middle of her back, and she wore a dark red  sleeveless dress robe.  Her gaze was piercing towards the stars seemingly in thought.

"Best not keep her waiting." the Overlord said as he ushered Rachel towards the Empress.

Rachel Renston wrote:...She was walking towards a creature that stood taller and looked albeit more menacing than the Overlord himself. She glanced over to the feminine figure. She was quite beautiful, and appeared to be taller than Rachel as she approached. Her horns and wings and tail suggested a succubus of sorts, but this was her first time face to face with one who looked so...eloquent. ...She approached the plush couch, running her left hand upon it's amazingly soft material. She almost greedily took her seat without asking, but paused to glance upon the raven haired woman. She bowed her head a little, unsure how to approach this situation lightly. ..."And here she is; the Empress I've heard all about since I've arrived." Rachel spoke, her throat dry as she edged herself slowly around the seat and bowed to the Empress like she had the Overlord. She glanced up at the woman again, who's attention appeared to be on the heavens above. "My parlay has attracted your attention, or so I hear... May I ask, why were you and your subordinates so eager to grant me an audience? I found it strange how... easy it was to get to where I am now." she says in a cool tone, taking note of the Empress's wings.

The Empress was as beautiful as her army was menacing. Though Rufus had learned through past experience that beautiful women in command of great power were not the ones you'd want to associate yourself with. He greatly distrusted their ilk, especially so after his wife, Nora, betrayed him.

Rachel Renston wrote:

The Empress remained affixed to the stars above for only a moment longer, before she answered.  "That would be because I allowed it, as you are not a threat, Commander.  That, and as my Overlord spoke, there has been a change of plans."  The Empress tore her gaze from the skies, and turned towards her own seat, sitting gently into the plush seat, her wings folding neatly across her shoulders like a cloak, and she cradled what appeared to be a fine glass of red wine.  "Would you like a drink, or perhaps something to eat?" the Empress spoke, snapping her fingers, and the Iron Maiden from earlier brought forth a tray of fresh foods and beverages from the planet below.  "Forgive my candor, but I doubt you would like a sample of our local means of sustenance, so I took liberty and had some foodstuffs brought from the planet below.  Now, I assume you have many questions, some I may be able to answer, others would require more detailed explanations, which, thankfully, tis very observation deck can provide.  Please, don't hesitate.  Speak your mind."

...she took a seat opposite the Empress. Sitting back into the plush seat... She crossed one leg over the other, like before, and leaned forward a little, to garner a better view of the Empress. "A...change of plans? From what I hear, your... clan, your group has invaded at least three locations on the planet below, and have a station set up here not too far from where I reside. This is something you can't really just forget ever happened. But I get the distinct feeling...that you're not leaving. Your sticking around for something else... So I have two questions for you right now: One: why are you here; and Two: what has halted your advance upon us?" she asked, lowering her head and her tone...

This Empress was barking down the wrong alley. Though she had the genes of her father, she had the attitude similar of that to her Uncle. Rachel could easily get angered at mockery and he could picture her anger boiling underneath, and he was glad, for the time being, that she had not exploded. Yet.

"It originally was a means of egress.  My wayward son has managed to temporarily seal his dimension off from us.  But not long ago, he somehow made a dimensional connection to this realm.  That connection was to be our way of bypassing the seal.  Unfortunately, that required the conquest of this realm."  The Empress explained almost casually as she sipped her wine and placed the cup on the table.  The she leaned forward.

"Your little War God, Stratus managed to halt me just long enough for something far more serious to crop up.  As my Overlord told you, a situation has arisen, and our plans have to be altered to meet it." With a frown, the Empress continued. "Understand this, we are the creatures of Hell, and we conquer and we consume all in our way, but there are fates worse than that out there.  An evil from a time before the mortal realms were ever forged, and before the division of the High heavens and the Pitts of Hell has reappeared.  A being who seeks nothing less than the end of all things, capable of erasing even the very fabric of all existence.  We may be beings of evil and sin, but even we value our existence."  As she spoke the words, the nervousness of the Empress was becoming apparent.  "I am mighty and powerful, but I am not omnipotent, and even I, a being created among the first of all beings, have limits.  I cannot simply defeat the One Above All, nor can I stop the monster of the Void."

...She rose her head again and added: "How are you sure it will come for you? You have the look of a babe who's been taken from it's mother. Did you wrong this...thing?" she asked, folding her arms under her chest, leaning back.

Rufus closed his eyes, visibly smacking his forehead. "Please...she did not just call the leader of an alien invasion a 'cry baby'. Ughh..." he thought, wiping his face with the hand he used to smack himself. His cracked red eyes glaring at the screen.

The Empress gazed at Rachel for a few moments, then spoke low.  "My dear, we have been conquering uncountable numbers of realms for entire universal lifetimes.  You mortals have a gift that was denied to me and my kind.  The gift of choice.  You have the capacity for both good and evil within you, and yet your just rewards and punishments do not occur until after death.  We are beings of eternal life, and thus our punishments for mere divergence of thought was immediate and irrevocable.  I sought to break the chains that bind us to a miserable and ill deserved fate, and for that, I paid a higher price than any of my bretheren.  I will not exist much longer myself.  My son has abandoned me, and I have nothing left, but to free my people from bondage.  And for that goal, I will conquer as many realms as is needed to win my people their freedom."  The Empress gaze changed from angry determination back to melancholy sadness.  "But even if I succeed now, it will all be rendered meaningless of that monster regains his strength."

The Empress turned away from Rachel then.  "He was once one I called an elder brother, and his name was Verial.  But, he was somehow possessed by the very essence of the Void.  A place where nothing exists, time, space, reality... nothing.  It consumes and erases everything it touches, but somehow, Verial was not destroyed, but rather became it's vessel, a means to exist and spread itself rather than consume it's host.  The being who once was my brother was only consumed by the all powerful need to erase everything around him, his will was lost, and only the Void remained within, empowering him with destructive energies so intense, he destroyed more than half the realms, and lay siege to the Great Link itself before he was cast back into the pit that gave him his power and sealed within it."  The Empress turned her gaze back to the young woman.  "It took the combined strength of all us Eldaar and our maker to do this, it was the only way we could defeat a being powered by such a primal fundamental force.  But now we Eldaar are separated by a line of good and evil, order and chaos.  Neither side can hope to face him alone.  But we do have one thing we didn't have before...  The lesser dieties, and the mortals they watch over."

Medical Wing (Second Floor) - Page 2 9a9f97500bdbf13dfddc1e1b61ace8bf-d6h59lm

...She slowly removed her leg, placing them tight together upon the couch as she shifted forward. "So are you saying you need our help? In what way are we supposed to help you, if that is at all what your getting at." she says, leaning back again, crossing her other leg now.

He took in this history silently, his eyes narrow and sharply upon the Empress's eyes. "She is trying a new tactic. Watching instead of invading. Though it be simpler for her to destroy us and wait...she needs us for something. A bargaining chip perhaps? Hmm..." he thought about it. Then he thought about this 'wayward son' of hers. From the way she described, her son is able to have choice, while she did not, and he may be able to turn the tide due to this trait he has. The theory that Halfling Demons have hidden unkempt potential, rivaling that of pure demons was proving so far to be true over the acclaimed theory used by the Demon Realm today. His eyes widen, perhaps figuring out what their purpose, Galiavan's people, was now. It may be a bargaining chip after all, to use against her son if he refused to help her. But...that didn't feel all to right either. Judging from his description... he wasn't like her. She didn't mind a few sacrifices from her tone, and he knew this well himself. He began to doubt now, that they were just a bargain chip... they were needed somehow. Her son would at least reluctantly agree to join hearing that the fate than more than one universe was at stake. The Invaders... The Portal... The People of Galiavan... her Wayward Son... this 'Void Creature'... there was an equation he wasn't seeing just yet, then again he had yet to see all the chips on the table.

"I'm afraid that is not my decision to make.  It would take the combined might of all mortals in all remaining realms, along with the lesser dieties, in order to stave of the jaws of the Void Dragon a second time."  At that the massive creature, the Cycloid Emperor leaned down and spoke.  "It is for that reason, we hope, that your world, for the time being, would consent to our presence a little while longer. This world is the only link we have to our prince, who is half mortal.  He alone may be able to reach the high heavens and plead our case to the other side.  We are running out of time, Verial's new host is almost ready to be assimilated and then, the losses will begin."

Rachel, almost unflinchingly laughed. "What? You want us to simply 'put up with you' till this is all resolved?" she unfolded her legs, standing tall from the couch. "I think I've asked enough questions for one day, and for this... this ridiculous term. We have already been subjugated for nearly a thousand years, now some 'outsider' wants us to 'consent to her presence'." ... She turns to the Empress. "I think I'll need time to consider this...ridiculous request." she bowed again. "It was lovely meeting you. But I'm going to thank the Overlord for his generous hospitality, and then take my leave." ...she stands erect again, heading back the way she came, her heels echoing behind her.

This action made Rufus physically shutter. "No... no! You damned fool!" He grunted, feeling his anxiety returning. This was bad. She could've handled that with more grace, like her father would have. Instead, she was brash like her Uncle, and his constant brash demeanor is what ultimately killed him in the end when Tri-City State fell.

Darkstorm Zero wrote:

"So you would rather take assured erasure at the hands of the beast, rather than tolerate our presence for a few solar cycles?  With our prince returned to us, our original objective would be fulfilled, rendering conquest of this or any other realm meaningless." the Cycloid said aloud, before shaking his head.  "Besides, the decision is ultimately not up to you alone, Commander.  We know you have been sending transmissions to the surface, to Rufus Tenik, the one who ultimately said he does not trust us.  Sajiiz'thi'leen detain our guest."

With that, the massive Overlord swooped his hand towards the girl, and gripped her firmly, but gently.

The Empress spoke next as she stood up, and hovered over to where the Overlord held the struggling ADN Commander.  "You came before me in bad faith.  You never intended to listen to us, and while I already knew all this, I also knew you were wired, so now your leaders know why we are here, and we will not be departing until we complete our mission.  I will not risk the end of all things for your petty pride, or some political red tape that you mortals seem so fond of.  Too much is at risk, and those risks are beyond either of our control."  The Empress glanced up at the Overlord. "She is to remain alive, unharmed, and unspoiled.  I no longer wish to see the mortals harmed Sajiiz'thi'leen, but she must remain here for the time being, so use your pouch if you must.  I want no 'accidents'.  I must return to the portal, and hope we can breach the seal and reach Edgar.  He is our only chance now..."

The Overlord nodded in confirmation as the Empress and the Cycloid disappeared in a flash of orange energies.  The creature turned it's great eyes towards Rachel struggling in his great hand.  "I am afraid I must apologise, my lady.  But I have no choice.  You forced my Empress's hand, and we are unfortunately running out of time.  Each day that passes means Verial comes closer to fully regaining his former strength.  And you have never seen the destruction of an entire dimension..."

Rufus pulled himself away from the PDA, his face pale. The Empress wasn't looking at Rachel, but her eyes... her eyes had been directed at him, through the camera but almost, in an other worldly way, from the camera. He felt beads of sweat run down his face, and he gulped dryly as the woman in the picture vanished in orange light. He shook his head, his hand over his eyes, rubbing them as Rachel's screams permeated in the background. If he was the way he had been in his youth, he'd enjoy the prospect of an alliance. But as a whole... the people, the President himself, would have trouble. They've believed they seen evil before with Sephiroth and even with his tyrannical rule. This would be an.... unstable relationship between civilians of the TCT and the Demons of the Horde. His limited power now days made his intentions...less impactful than when he was the Dictator, the ruler of Galiavan in terms of Power and Economic Prowess.

She continued to struggle, the slimy hand of the creature pushing up on her chest and pinning her in his grasp. He was holding her firmly...She was then turned to face the Empress.

She continued to gasp and grunt, struggling to remove herself from the Overlord's grasp. "Damn that bitch..." she cursed, gritting her teeth together, cursing her even more when she departed in a flash of orange light. She was suddenly turned towards the Overlord again, his great yellow eyes upon her again, her legs swaying as if she was a rag doll.

She grunted in response, trying to squeeze her right arm between his massive fingers while her boobs jiggled and flopped against it. She was trying to reach for her gun while she kept her large dark brown eyes upon him. "How am I supposed to agree to a deal that could potentially enslave my race? Even if this 'Verial' arrives, and we do somehow manage to defeat it, how am I supposed to know that you'll keep your end of the deal?" she exclaimed in a grunting manner.

The creatures teeth rippled in something akin to a sad frown.  "We are psychically attuned Commander.  This is how we knew you were wired, knew you were coming on bad faith, and we also know of your Terroronian butler.  Know that your friend cannot rescue you.  His race, after all, was not meant to fight beings any higher than your rogue War Gods.  Which in the ranking system only amount to planetary guardian levels of power, incapable of influencing events beyond Galivan itself.  Now, unfortunately, it has become my responsibility to keep you safe and out of harm's way aboard this vessel.  Do not worry, you won't be hurt.  Our forces are no longer directed at conquest of Galivan, or any other world in this realm, we simply need to access the link and find Prince Edgar.  The Empress herself is doing this now.  You must remain with me.  Please, don't make me do something that we'd both regret." The creature began walking toward his console to continue working.

With one hand, he began imputing a series of commands into his command console.  "Hopefully, in a few days, all this unpleasantness will be behind us."

She shook vigorously, jabbing at his hands and kicking her legs wildly, swinging her hips up and down, but no use. "Damn it." she cursed again. "Ugh," she exclaimed... Her breasts swayed left to right, and she tried her best to pull herself out but again, his grasp was too firm. ... "I have to stay with you? For a few days?! Huh. I think I've had enough of your hospitality you lipless toad!" she exclaimed, throwing her fists down upon his hand. Her feminine form was trapped. She blew strands of hair out of her face and sighed. "Ah this is unpleasant enough... What is this 'pouch' that bitch spoke about anyway? I suppose your going to be taking me there, hmm?" she exclaimed...

The Overlord was getting  little agitated now, but not because his 'guest' was misbehaving, but her words seemed to strike a cord.

"Hey now, we needed to keep you around to see if your transmission provides a response by your government.  They would need to see you are ok, to prove our case!  It's not like I wanted to keep you here, but we have to follow the rules."

When the woman enquired about the pouch, his facial skin seemed to illuminate bright red slightly.  "Well... that's a little personal... But of you misbehave, I would have to use it... An uncomfortable thought for me."

She continued to try and slip her arm down by her side. ...she was in range now to kick him, and began doing so, stabbing her heels against his scaly stomach. "Oh your such the 'gentleman' manhandling me like I'm a damn toy!" she says adding more kicks to the side of his chest. ... "It's a little...what?" She asks, confused by his expression. ... "Woah, are you blushing?!" ... She gasped... "You cheeky bastard! Get your stinking hand's off me this instant! I'll tell you what's uncomfortable: having to have large slimy hands that stink of a swamp grope me while you hold me up like a damn toy!" She exclaimed, jabbing at him with her heels again, her plush body continuing to writhe in his grasp.

Rufus, unsure why he was still watching, other than the anxiety to be sure Rachel was going to be safe as the Empress had ordered, continued to watch.

Up to his eye level now, hovering mere inches from his face... and she gagged a little while in his close presence. His large yellow eyes peered at hers... "I-I'd come up with something!" she exclaimed... "A soldier must improvise! The job of a captured officer is to harass the enemy to no extent, and last I checked I'm still enlisted in the ADN!" she exclaimed, slamming her closed fist upon his hand that had held her curvy form. "Now if you don't mind, SaJIZthleen, remove your thumb from my boobs, your other finger from around my ass and get me out of your hideous face, zipper teeth!" she exclaimed...... his fingers were folded around her chest, lifting her bulbous breasts with the thumb. Her long sexy legs were curled around his lower finger and she would still kick out her knee's to hit the Overlord with her shiny black heels. ....

"What? Are you just going to keep staring?" she asked, her tone haughty and rude.

Rufus narrowed his gaze. "If you survive long enough Rachel, I will be firing you." he grumbled, still sore about her cutting him off earlier and for her general misconduct.

"Its better than just sitting here, with you." she grunted, pouting as she slammed her hand upon his again.

Darkstorm Zero wrote:
After looking at her for a time, he finally frowned sadly.  He couldn't keep her grasped in his hand for a few days, he had work to do, and sending her to the brigs and dungeons was out of the question.  She'd be raped and eaten in mere minutes by some of the foulest creatures on the ship.  Letting her roam free was also a considerable risk, as many of the creatures would be unable to stop themselves.  "I am sorry about this, truly.  But you won't die."  he said with a strange croaking whine in his voice, before he lifted her up higher, and tilted his head back.

Medical Wing (Second Floor) - Page 2 Rotj030

..."Wh-what are you..?" She asked softly, ...her body was lifted higher, her legs dangling and her silky hair now draped over her left shoulder. She noticed how he tilted his head back ... Her skin paled, her body quivering ...the croaking whine in his voice yawned and his jaws peeled back, his spiky teeth separating, giving way for his sickly and grotesque inner maw.... her breasts hanging over the thumb, the camera on her right breast would have no doubt picked up this gaping maw in full screen.

... She gulped, looking up at his large yellow eyes. "You-you wouldn't! No, nuh-uh, not this no no no!" she exclaimed ...her body began to spasm, trying harder now to escape his gasp more than anything! ...She kicked out her legs trying almost anything physically to halt his advance as her head lined up with his maw, his stubby tongue flapping with brackish and sticky saliva.

The sight of the maw on screen made him pale again, and he was gripping the device. "Oh dear God, no! I still need her! She's the best genetic match for my future grandchildren!" he screamed, feeling his heart sink.

The creature flicked his 'pinky' finger, which dislodged Rachel's belt, and the pistol holster with it, sending it clanking to the deck plating, before lowering the struggling screaming girl into it's maw.  Strangely the creatures huge teeth flattened within the creatures oral cavity to keep them from hurting her.  Then, Rachel landed on the massive tongue as the creature let her go.  As she slid backwards slightly, he teeth folded back outward into place, trapping Rachel inside behind a cage of huge glistening yellow-white denticle more formidable than any jail bars.
...

"Ahhhaghads!" she screamed unintelligibly.... She was so focused on the maw, the only chance she had to grab her gun vanished before her eyes with the flick of the Overlord's pinky. Her custom handgun fell to the floor with a clang, which caused her to raise the pitch of her scream. She swung her body, her legs pedaling and her hanging breasts swaying as she was lowered into the maw. ...The teeth strangely flattened, which looked awkward... "Please don-" she was cut off when she fell upon his rough and sticky tongue. She instantaneously gagged, the brakish saliva sticking to her clothes and soaking through her uniform. She quivered, now free of her captor's hand, but now upon the slimy tongue. She was slipping down the tongue, and she turned to see that the teeth had retracted back into place, barring her exit...... "Oh please, I'm sorry don't do this to me I'm still-" ...cut off as her face pushed against his right cheek, before she fell upon the tongue again on her side. Sickly saliva travelled down her cleavage and spread across her legs.

She wiggled and tried to maintain a sort of balance upon the rough textured tongue, but it was near impossible. Her silky hair was becoming damn and was flopping against her back, and she had a shiny sheen thanks to the saliva that now covered her body. She looked from his barred teeth then turned to his massive throat, sweaty and emanating a sickly smell. ...screaming, clawing at his tongue to keep herself from getting closer to that gaping hole. "No, please, don't do this! I don't want to die, oh fuck not like this!" she cried... her breasts upon the middle of his large tongue...She bent her knees, trying to pry the mouth open using her back, pushing up. Saliva trailed from the rounded orbs of her breasts which hung above, ...pushing as hard as she could to pry his mouth open...

He lowered the PDA, and closed his eyes, leaning back into his bed. He payed Yuko no mind as he draped an arm over his eyes. The sight of Rachel landing upon the tongue of the creature was enough for him to get the picture of what she was doing now... he almost couldn't bear to watch her demise...but a morbid curiosity made him remove his arm and bring the PDA back to his face, the screen's bright light illuminating his face with light and shadow.

The creature ignored the pleas of Rachel, as that would only serve to further test his resolve not to eat her, and instead tried to quickly down her into the pouch, which by this point was uncomfortably large enough to accommodate her.  The Overlord used it's strong tongue to flick her backward, pressing against her, unintentionally where he shouldn't, while snapping it's head backwards to dislodge her and make her go smoothly and quickly.

She was fighting, but it was hopeless, as the slickness of the saliva was working against her, and the creature was quite animated on moving her quickly.  He didn't want to savour her delicious flavour, taunting him with forbidden desire.

Rachel screamed, feeling his animated tongue ride her up against the roof of his mouth while simultaneously dragging her lithe and curvy form towards the gaping hole in the back of his throat. "Oh Gawlmphf!" she exclaimed, her cries muffled by a thick layer of saliva that splashed her face, ... this caused her to gag uncontrollably. ... Her head was becoming dangerously close to the edge of no return... ...She haulted in advance. This action pinned his tongue down, forcing her weight against it...

The creature muttered a growl at this action. ...he tilted his head all the way back, and opened his mouth wide, thereby making it's jawbones slip from Rachel's reach, and causing her to slide quickly right into the entrance to his gullet  with a strange gagging, coughing sound..

With a sudden spasm, the creature gulped quickly, sending Rachel head first into it's gullet.  But instead of a straight slide like she expected, Rachel's path was suddenly altered by a hard, almost bony lip in the side of the gullet wall, and her journey ended much sooner than she had thought as she was quickly deposited into a different fleshy sack, instead of an acid filled stomach.  This new sack was filled with a strange liquid, and very quickly several tendrils unravelled from the lining of the walls, and shot to attack themselves to her.  ...

...the world suddenly become more steep, ... She could hear snapping sounds, and suddenly her wide spread legs were not jabbing at anything! "Oh Gaw-" she screamed, cut off by a louder and shrill cry emanating from her lungs, plunging into the deep with her arms held out ahead of her...her torso entered the throat. .... her right heel slipping off before the creature jerked back, taking in her lovely rear and slender kicking legs, her feet vanishing inside.

Rachel was lodged inside the tight confines of his esophagus where saliva and a mucus like material clung to her modelesque body. She could hear and smell the stomach rumbling below, and could hear the watery and popping sounds of the stomach acids that awaited her no doubt! ...She felt the audible gurgling of the stomach and the throat muscles press against her, rippling with energy. She screamed as the Overlord swallowed...

...The dark and moist tunnel ahead assure her her doom, but then her chest hit something hard... She let out a gasp with her screams cut off, and proceeded to slide into another tube that closed behind her after her 5'9 frame slipped into the tight and fleshy chamber. She tumbled, rolling into her 'new home' with a splash! A mucus like slime had filled this chamber and swallowed her and coated her body with ick. ...Trying to stretch her her legs in this cramped position, since she was now forced into a ball like fetal position, with one nylon clad foot outstretched against what she assumed was stomach lining while her hands assaulted the roof of this flesh bag she was within. ...The tendrils appeared! Bubbles escaped her mouth when the one smacked into her abdomen...

It was at this point the video remained live, but showed little but Rachel's long legs spasm contracting and extending, pushing back the fleshy walls, accompanied with her arms and hands. It looked to Rufus that she wasn't in any immediate danger, as the camera didn't seem to react to the greenish fluid she was inside, though the dark conditions made viewing any further video impossible.

He lowered his PDA and pinned the video that was still continuing to record. There apparently wasn't much delay between the recording and now, but he felt ill now. Not because he got to see Rachel first hand swallowed alive, but because of how paramount the situation was. This wasn't just about pride, a nation, a damn planet. This was about survival. He didn't like the odds, but it seemed the best option was to agree to the 'seize fire' for the time being, though it was a mercy move on their part since they were the ones holding the proverbial gun against them. He wondered if his old friend, Revan Uptincross, the current President, would take this information and accept his wisdom. He found it almost funny, essentially becoming the adviser to his former adviser. That is if he would listen.

Leland stepped lightly inside the infirmary, the scent of blood and medicine assaulting his nostrils. He looked about the room and found that two sheets had been put up, and one bed had been covered in blood. He grimaces, and his mind wanders back to the destruction of a large portion of the city and now the introduction of AA weapons and Scardian Foreign Legionaries. He may stick around a little longer to help out, but not by much. As it were, it looks as though Everin is guiding his journey from beyond the grave. "I may find what I seek in Beijio, huh? If Rufus is behind one of these sheets, then I am sure Everin may be right. Rufus's departments from back in the day were filled with things that shouldn't have been allowed to see the light of day. Dark...yet powerful things like Sephiroth, who ultimately destroyed Everin in the end...though as I recall, Everin almost did defeat the Black Winged Angel." he thought momentarily of the history of Galiavan, feeling as though something of that confrontation may yield an answer to his problem. He paused at the center of the room, hearing other voices from behind the closed curtains.

Anastasia was before the injured Empress when she heard someone else entering the wing. She stepped out from the enclosed curtain which hid the Empress as she lay unconscious and glared over to the man she had seen earlier. "The Gunslinger from earlier..." she remembered. She approached him, the taller Elf only pausing when she was right before him. "So, did the Association send someone to aid Beijio as well?" She inquired, her hands upon her hips, half glancing to Hannah over her shoulder. "Flight Lieutenant, are you wearing your skirt..." she asked, her tone slightly irritated before returning her attention back to the Gunman, rolling her eyes.

The officer had stepped out alongside the tall Elf, but unlike the Elf had her weapons still on her, holding the Aries rifle strapped around her chest loosely. She looked to the cowboy and then Hannah scowled, turning her head away as her superior inquired about the skirt. "Meh, you don't have a clue how uncomfortable it is with my tail Madam. If I was less anxious, yes, perhaps." the wolf replied, bearing her sharp teeth in a disgruntled groan.

Leland glanced back and forth between Elf and Werewolf. It was obvious that the two were Scardian Foreign Legionaries, having fought alongside some himself in his youth. "Well, why would you figure me a Gunslinger of the Association? I could be just any man strapped with a few guns and a duster." he says in a inquiring tone. "Unlike you two, with your dark blue uniforms. The woman behind you carries the Ruby Cross of Scardia; its a highly prestigious award handed down to Scardian born soldiers who have surpassed the expectations of their country and, its the nation's highest awarded token of diligence and honor in the Scardian Foreign Legion, though in the original Scardian Military, it was only the third highest honor one could receive in terms of "Medals of Honor". Even more surprising that someone so young as the Flight Lieutenant is to receive such an honor. She must have accomplished a great feat, despite her relative lack of lower body coverage, and thereof 'modesty'." he chuckled in a mildly teasing manner. Upon looking at the armor the Elf was wearing, he raised an eyebrow. "Elven make, huh? The designs... and level of craftsmanship deduces such. Mithril too, isn't it?" he asked, leaning beside a wall with his arms folded across him.

If you are trying to prove yourself otherwise, you're not really doing a good job at it." she says folding her own arms. "You are correct though, the Flight Lieutenant does express a lack of modesty, and that my armor is of Elven make, and mythril." she says glancing upon his slightly smaller form. He had to be a few inches shorter, unless he had a high skull under that stetson of his. "We could flatter each other with our skills and appearance all day if you wish, but I must be forward and back on task: What brings you here? This medical wing is for the injured, and you look far from it physically." she states, bowing her head slightly.

Major Faizland will do." she states shaking his hand almost delicately, the look in his eye troubling her. But I do not think she will be seeing anyone soon." she states to the Gunslinger.

Leland McKelly wrote:"Well you both look quite healthy as well, considering this is the Medical Wing." Leland chuckled. "Though true, quite true. My...skills of perception may have given me away in a rather boastful manner; but I am honest when I say I no longer hail from the Association. I'm Exeter." he says before shifting his position, his hand stretched out. "Leland. Leland McKelly. Or, traditionally: Exeteer Infanto Master de Prodigium Gunslinair," he says, performing a well practised bow before, outstretching his hand to take hers. "...and I am here to relay news to the Empress." he says with a more serious tone, his head looking up to the taller Elf; his blue eyes gleaming with a brewing flame.

She didn't react much to his formality but held her hand out regardless, clasping his. "Such formalities are not needed. I am Major Anastasia D'Faizland. Major Faizland will do." she states shaking his hand almost delicately, the look in his eye troubling her. "We are tasked to watch over the Empress for the time being, as you are obviously aware, she received injury while in battle with Rufus Tenik. The details of the event are unknown to me. I was in the General's office discussing private matters..." she says with a slight frown. "She's still unconscious, so perhaps you could relay the information to the General himself if it is at the utmost importance. But I do not think she will be seeing anyone soon." she states to the Gunslinger.

He took her hand and pressed it against his lips, finishing out the traditional bow from male to female in the Gunslinger Traditional ways. "It is an honor, Major Faizland." he says readjusting his posture, before looking past her and into the open curtain where he could see a glimpse of the Empress. "I'd rather tell her in person, but I do suppose you are right. It's bad taste to give bad news so soon after going through a deal of shit." he says before returning his gaze upon the Elven Major. "So, what happened to the city? I may as well ask since I'm here."

She couldn't help but act a bit surprised. "Here I thought such ancient formalities were beneath humans these days. Good to see someone still prides on some of the 'romantic notions' of the old ways." she gently removes her hand as he readjusts his posture. She looks out the window, walking past Hannah to view the Palace Grounds below. "How did you arrive into Beijio, Mr. McKelly? Well...the Crimson Knight Brigade had attacked the ADN Base earlier this morning. There was hardly any survivors. Beijio was then attacked by a dragon of sorts not too long after. Depending on how you arrived, you saw the extent of the damage done from this creature by walking through the Market Street areas. The Tiny Blue Dragon's blasts were incredibly powerful, and many civilians and military personnel were killed or devoured. Then, we of the Scardian Foreign Legion were called in to help provide added security till an ADN detachment arrives." she starts, folding her arms under her chest. "However, thats not the worst of it apparently. Radio chatter spoke of Ithteca being under siege by demons, and a tower of sorts spawning from the Ithteca Mountains and deep within the Amaine Forest." she says turning back to Leland. "Some of my people spoke of similar events...being the signs of ill things to come... but that was, like your manners, from a different time." she says with another sigh, closing her eyelids then sharply glancing back at the Gunslinger. "Does that... answer your question?"

Leland remained still, his brows lowering. Otherwise he took the news almost unflinchingly, turning slowly away from the Major as he ran the information through his head. "So...that was what that wraith was on about... huh." he says softly, gripping his fists tightly. "It does...for the most part." he says before turning towards the other curtain. "Your people spoke of ill things to come eh? What did they mean by such?" he asked, amused by her response. Anything would help, even listening to old Elven legends.

Anastasia brought her right hand to her hip. "Iire i' atta ithil tara men, nelde towers will duna tuulo' i' talar'. . . i' Arda will natula lith." the woman spoke, in her native tongue. Her face unchanged, other than a slight shade paler. Her eyes were piercing blue, like the Gunslinger's, bright and reverent.

Leland raised a brow. "That must be a dialect that I am not familiar with," he says frowning, but curious as to the Elven Major's origins. "What exactly did you say?" his hands inside the pockets of his duster.

Her eyes glanced at him evenly. "Its a dialect not often used, since the original ones who created it have all passed on. But it can be roughly translated in the mortal tongue: "When two moons cross paths, three towers will spring forth from the ground, ushering ancient evils beyond comprehension, and the World will become ash." she says solemnly. "When I was a young one, my great grandmother would sew such legends to us little ones before we laid for sleep. She was one of the last to speak our 'dead language' fluently, or at least had a grasp of it." she says folding her arms across her chest, leaning her hips towards the right a little.

"Have I entertained you're curiosity for one evening? Or is there more you would like to ask?" she herself asked him.

Leland nodded, his face pale. "That's...comforting." He starts, looking away then looked back at her. "And you say you were told such things before bed?" he says with a tone of surprise and mixed with humor. He smiled faintly then nodded. "I can say you satiated my curiosity for now, Major Faizland. Tenna' ento lye omenta." he says, bowing again before turning towards the other curtain which he glanced at previously. "I shall take my leave shortly, but there is one more thing I must do before I part." He pauses before it, and then pushes the curtain aside and enters.

"You might not know me, but I certainly have heard much about you, Mr. Tenik." He says closing the curtain.

The corner of her left lip raised slightly. "She was a harsh woman, who knew how to punish little ones who misbehaved." she started, her brows raising. "Your pronunciation needs a little work; but not too bad for a human. Aa' menle nauva calen ar' ta hwesta e' ale'quenle, mellonamin." She replied in return, bowing her head slightly in response. He was the first human she had met who had such a grasp of the Elven tongue, which wasn't so popularly used now days. Perhaps it was simply the duty of Gunslingers to learn such things for survival and service. Still...

She frowned, perish the thought of those long yet not so easily forgotten days... She shook her head solemnly and sighed. "Those are days of my past now." she says softly. She turned her attention to Hannah and shook her head again. "Flight Lieutenant, where is your skirt?" she sighs with an annoyed tone, wondering when she was going to regroup with her men.

The mention of Tenik still burned through her veins, but she remained cool as she always was. She was the Ice Queen of the SFL after all...

Rufus looked up at the man who stood at the base of his bed. He eyed the man and agreed to his statement, he hadn't the foggiest idea whom he could have been, besides the obvious Gunslinger garb. "A Gunslinger huh? I'm sure your Association has had plenty of files on me, especially from the old days. Go on now, I can't be bothered. There is much at stake, and little time to do anything about it." he says, trying to wave the Gunman off.

Surely, many of my companies 'dark secrets' are best left to rot in the darkness. Leland bowed his head, looking to the man whom once held the entire world in his fist, and tried his best to remain a cool and collected being during this conversation. "Honestly, it doesn't matter what I think. I will be leaving this room with the information I need." he says placing his hands in his pockets. "Perhaps they should remain in the dark. But...dark secrets have a way of resurfacing in the worst of ways," Leland started, walking around the foot of Tenik's bed. "I mean, I saw the demons you created. Those malformed abominations your company made in your secret labs and basements. Saw them isn't exactly the word I'm looking for... no, I had fought against them. My wife, my friends... we all fought your demons, the demons who's origins could possibly vary. As it is, the people of Galiavan hardly trust you. This... Vice Presidency thing, is purely a joke." he paused, turning his head towards Rufus his eyes gleaming and piercing, like those of a hawk ready to sink it's talons into it's prey. "I am retired from the Gunslinger Association, Mr. Tenik. You're injured, and in no shape for running. You assaulted the Empress, whether it was in self-defence or not, is not an issue for me. I know Sango's temper." he says walking to the opposite side of the bed, kneeling at his side and pulled out a large coin. It was almost as big as his inner palm, one side silver, the other gold.

"You know... Gunslingers... have to learn a variety of skills to complete a variety of missions. We're not just some gun-toting hill billies with a badge. Each of us has to master a skill of their own. I've always been fairly adept at hypnotism, Mr. Tenik. I like to use this coin for such things, since it's shiny and eye catching; but it doesn't matter what I use; I even once hypnotised a rather unhelpful bar keep with a bullet." he says beginning to flip the coin between the inserts of his fingers, from right to left. "Heh, it's nothing too hard to master. My youngest mastered it at the age of five, so comparatively she's more attuned. I guess it's her mother's reflexes." he pauses again, looking into Rufus's eyes, his fingers still tumbling the coin. "Like this coin, I believe most humans have two sides to them; the one that thinks logically, and the side that acts responsibly. But... another way you can look at it is that their are people who side with logic, and those who side with action. For me, my logic dictates that if I talk with you in an honest, clear and concise manner, you will pour your wisdom onto me in turn. However, my action... it dictates that if you should remain a stubborn old goat and deny me what I have so politely asked for, well... I am going to have to act accordingly."

He raises the coin, flipping it over his fingers at a quicker pace, the coin's reflective surface catching upon the light of the room, causing a rainbow of colours and light to shine brightly, seemingly absorbing his hand in the process; but it only seemed to get brighter, and the room seemingly was becoming darker or rather 'falling away', the light spilling from Leland's hand was, at least to Rufus's eyes, sucking away the reality and leaving nothing but the bright motion blurred light that was widening, obscuring Leland's body in the process. "Now... I will ask again. Do you believe that your company made any anti-demonic weapons or equipment that would help us save Galiavan? And can you please help me. This is my final warning." He says in a soft and low tone, a soothing voice suitable for reading to children at bed time. "This is your last chance to act willingly, Mr. Vice President. I beg, for your own good..." he added, in the same tone, taking a final pause: "..will you answer my questions on your own accord? Or shall I have to act?" He makes his final declaration.

Rufus felt appalled by this man. He was on the verge of acting himself, and not in a particularly polite manner either. "Was that a threat? I don't respond to threats well, Mr..." and it occurred to him there that this man had yet to even introduce himself. He was about to chime about this fact when the Gunslinger continued about his wife and friends taking on what was greatly hinted about Hojo's projects. This piece of history made Rufus think. "...don't associate me with the horrors that mad scientist created. I only told him specific guidelines to follow, and above that he wasn't even given the amount of clearance he received in the long run!" he defended, but as the man continued on he remained silent and held his tongue. This Gunslinger was side stepping words, trying to speak carefully. Truly, in his current condition, he'd be less a problem to deal with thanks to his run in with Sango. This nameless gun before him was now at his side, and had presented his gold and silver coin. "Enough of this prattle. I understand the world resentment, but I am sure that the War Hero's can manage the creatures for the time being. The ADN will sort this out, I assure you." he grunted. As the Gunman began to twirl the coin though, Rufus looked from the coin to the Gunman's face. "What? You think some parlour trick is going to force me to spill some knowledge? Hah! You surely are a moron aren't you? Seriously, seize this asinine behaviour, or less I shall have to act by having you confined by the local authorities!" he exclaimed, raising his tone now. It was then the Gunslinger's hand began to glow, and then grow. The gunman's body vanished behind the starburst that was radiating from the flipping coin, and his tone seemed deliberate and soft. "Wh-what the... the devil you doing?" he asked, turning his head from the light. The corners of this colorful supernova radiating from his hand. "How the hell is he doing this? Magic? Or..." Rufus couldn't think straight, using his left arm to block the light.
