Manager's Office/Bedroom

She took a deep breath and knocked on the office door. It was out of character for her to feel so nervous but she didn't like surrendering her fate to another and thats exactly what she was about to do. She needed work, and the only thing she was trained for involved killing, so since that wasn't an option she'd chosen bar work. Stood in the hallway she waited for an answer from within, the silence hung in the air. She almost regretted turning her back on her violent past, but she had to make this change she needed to disappear for a little while at least. Her knuckles hit the door again more impatiently this time. God she hated herself for stooping to this!

"Ah yes, yes I am" she hesitated for a moment as she entered the room, the other woman looked as though she was packing to leave, the office was strewn with junk some business related and mixed among them more personal items.
"Uhm my name is Donna, are you the manager?" she cocked her head quizzically, as the other woman stopped midstream to look up at her "Going somewhere?" she finally asked her piercing eyes looking to the packing cases and back to the woman.

She paused for a moment, letting the other manageress' words sink in, assistant manager sounded a lot better than barmaid and it also found her a place to stay. Her eyes wandered the room again, it was dingy and in a state, but it meant she could keep a low profile.
"I expect we're talking a much higher salary than barmaid?" she finally replied "Of course I'll take the job!"
She seemed to have developed selective hearing regarding the demon comment, perhaps she didn't care, or more likely since her weapons were stashed close by she didn't consider it much of a threat. Either way Bella shook the other woman's hand and became the pub's newest assistant manager!

Belladonna signed the paperwork and went to hand it back to the woman who by this point was already halfway out of the door. She seemed in an awful hurry to leave even to the point that Bella cocked an eyebrow at her. "Well yes two questions. Firstly who do I contact in case of an emergency? And secondly..." at this point she almost rolled her eyes, having already got the distinct impression she was never going to see this woman again "When will you be back.... I mean you are coming back right?"
She held the signed contract by her side as she watched the other woman, there didn't seem much point im handing it to her after all she didn't have a free hand with which to take it.

She watched the woman go and placed the contract on the desk. Well done Bella, what have you got yourself into this time? She thought as she moved her cases out of the hallway and into her new room. Once more she turned her attentions to her surroundings deciding she would tidy the room before she unpacked she closed the office door, and there hanging behind it she saw the maid outfit. Bella did a double take, black satin and white lace with a tiny white apron, the hem of the skirt so short as to be almost indecent "You've got to be kidding me" she spoke to herself and picked up the contract to check what she'd signed herself up to.
Half an hour later she stood in front of a large mirror in the corner of the room checking the seams of her stockings were straight and admiring her new uniform. No wonder they can't keep staff when they parade them around like this, she mused to herself. Then turned and decide to check the bar to make sure someone was taking care of it, she headed downstairs to see just what she had got herself into.

Jace stood at the doorframe, leaning against the door. "Dammit...all the times my mind goes silent now." He thinks, and knocks against the door. Nothing. "Hello?" He called out. He then knocked again, louder and adding: "Bella? Are you in there?" No answer. He sighs, placing a hand on his weapon, and forces his body against the door. He drew his weapon as he enforces entry into the manageress's office, sweeping the 10mm revolver left to right.

With a sudden start she woke, the faintest memories of a dream clung to her, no not a dream a nightmare! Her body was slick with sweat as she struggled against the tight confines that held her, before she managed to claw her way from under the duvet, gasping for breath. Belladonna's eyes were wide partly in panic at the dream, partly from the covers, partly from the man in her room with his gun drawn. She managed to swallow back the bile that was rising in her throat and look him in the eye...
"What is this a robbery, because you should know your our only paying customer!"
She raised one hand to her head wishing away the mother of all hangovers, not that she remembered having a drink. It was then she realized she was naked and clutched the sheets closer.
"What do you want, and what's with the gun?" She scowled, for a bar maid it seemed she had a casual attitude towards people pointing guns in her general direction.

Jace stumbled slightly, feeling a slight rush of blood rise to his face as he looked face-to-face at Bella. "O-oh, there you are. Phew," he sighed, lowering his gun as he brought his hand up to his face, shaking his head before pulling his hand away and looked back at her face. "N-no it isn't a robbery. I... well, I just wouldn't go downstairs right now..." he says that last bit very softly, coughing against his fist. When he looked back at Bella another flush of red splayed across his face. It wasn't like he hadn't seen a naked woman before pulling up the covers before, but Bella was perhaps one of the most beautiful doing so; even if she looked like she was suffering from what looked like a slight hangover. The swells of her breasts could be partly made out from the duvet, and her exposed neck and beautifully angled chin and-and he realized he was staring. "O-oh, yes." he says placing the gun back into his holster.

He blinked, looking up at her face again. "You know... despite the fact I keep getting this feeling she probably could kill me in a heartbeat... that kiss was totally worth it.." his mind restated and he shook the thought as he tried to look away a little to keep from looking weird. "Yeah, I can see why you didn't respond... but, may I ask... you look deathly pale, and you have a haunted expression on your face; and I don't think it was my gun that made that expression." he started again, coughing into his fist, his blue eyes glancing back at her own blue eyes. "May I ask what happened?" he says, referring to her dream. A quick peak in her mind said she was still trying to gather the pieces herself, all he knew from it though was that she was radiating a sense of fear, a primal and black in a foul darkness kind of fear.

"I had a nightmare, that's all....." I mean what else could it be she thought to herself as her m ind raced to control the sense of panic. She noticed his eyes lingering on her they way men's eyes often did, narrowing her own she said "Take a photo it will last longer! Now if you'll excuse me I have to get dressed I have a business to run here that wont take care of itself!" She gestured to the door in a shooing fashion without letting him in or expressing any of her fears or concerns to him. This wasn't the first time she'd experienced something like this and that knowledge disturbed her.

"I see..." he said in response to her own response about the dream. He could sense she really had nothing else to go on about it. To her response of him staring he blinked as soon as he saw her eyes and immediately began to walk to the door. "Ah, er, yeah sorry." he said shrugging with a half nervous chuckle as he reaches for the door behind him and slowly steps out. "Dammit I look like an idiot..." he thought as he was about halfway from closing the door when he paused. He closed his eyes and shrugged, before raising his voice from behind the somewhat still open door. "Bella... you may... need to prepare yourself for what's down here." he says placing his fist upon his forehead as if he was fighting off a headache. "It's.... not very pretty." he says with a sigh, half opening his eyes. The tossed up bar room, the smashed kegs and tables and chairs, the questionable saliva looking slime.

Belladonna stopped rubbing the sleep from her eyes and levelled her gaze on him "It's a mess?" she asked hesitantly, vague glimpses of her dream flashing back to her, a fight in the bar! Then she snapped out of it "Look.... ahem I need to get dressed, so do you mind" She gestured again to the half open door, as he closed it her face softened a little as she realised the man wasn't just barging down her door for a drink or to have her cook breakfast "I guess I should thank you for being worried about me" her tone was softer, after all he was probably the only one on the whole planet to give a damn what happened to her.

Through the closed door he turned his head towards the door frame itself, as if to look at her. "Yeah, I'm not sure how it happened... I was a tad indisposed when shit must have hit the fan. He takes a couple steps down the stairwell and paused when she said:

"I guess I should thank you for being worried about me"

He remained still for a moment and smiled softly to himself. "Nah, no need to thank me. Just being human is all." he says before he continued down the steps, reentering the Pub's main room again. As he stoof by the door at the base of the stairs, he thought about the job he had to do this evening. He may be in need of a good sniper if shit went down, and his foresight gave him a vision of himself being plugged in the back or in the head with a large calibre weapon. He shook his head at the thought of being killed like that. He still had a lot to look forward to. But the thought of hiring Bella on made him think a little more on the subject. Perhaps as payment, he'd give her a portion of the weapons stash he was going to sell. Heh, after what may have gone down here while he was 'out', he thought that idea might be not a bad one at that. He leaned his back against the wall and folded his arms and closed his blue eyes.

When the door closed she slid from beneath the sheets taking a moment to stretch lazily as she woke up properly. She thumbed the shower on and stepped in turning it up to hot to try and rinse away the memories of the dream. Once washed and dried she looked at the maid outfit and sighed, she hated that this had become her lot but also resigned herself to it knowing that she had to keep a low profile. Eventually washed, dressed, hair and make up done she stepped from her room and went downstairs stopping beside Jace who seemed to have been stood mesmerised by the damage the whole time she'd been getting ready. Her blue eyes swept over the scene taking it all in, her face showing little of the sense of dismay she felt!
"What the hell happened here?!?" she blurted as she took another step "This is going to take more than a feather duster to clean up!" She gestured to her outfit trying to break the mood with humour. Slowly she moved down into the bar area, throwing a question over her shoulder to Jace "Is there anyone down there?" before turning to the room and raising her voice "Hello! Anyone there?"

She woke with a start, sitting bolt upright in bed her eyes wide with panic her hands clawing the sheets to her heaving breasts as she gasped for breath. The nightmare which had been so vivid, so real was already fading into her subconscious as she realised where she was. It had seemed so real! The bedding was wet and her body was coated with a sheen a sweat, images of her dream, her nightmare flashed through her mind. There had been a monster, no a demon, a snake demon and it had been eating her! She shuddered and closed her eyes, memories of an old man and someone calling her name as she struggled. Why did it all seem so real if it was just a dream, her body trembled as she sat in bed, finding some comfort in the familiarity of her surroundings. Eventually she swung her legs out of bed, standing naked she stretched then turned and padded to the shower intent on washing the remnants of her nightmare away before seeing what the new day had in store.

"...and that's that." Viv says to the recent owner of the pub, who had taken over after Belladonna had vanished. Vivian Mooncaller, now the official new proprietress according to the shiny certificate that had been wagered and thrown into the pot by the desperate former owner, sat back with her arms behind her head. Her thick thighs crossing, further down the flesh sloped and became narrower, flowing down to the slender calves that now crossed as she leaned back in the chair, balancing herself. She bobbed her heeled right foot, the thigh high leather boots were well crafted and had little wear from the harsh road, same with her tight leather short shorts, the top button undone and... risked showing a little more below the belt, but they hugged her lovely derrière with tufts of fur trim lining her aforementioned thick thighs. Further up the southern boarder, Viv's toned stomach was visible, her naval framed between the parting fold of her red, ribbed button down shirt, with the first three buttons undone to show off her deeply cut décolletage and the pair of dice she now restrung around her neck again. The 'bones' as they were, were black and gold... and were part of the reason for her success. As for her ribbed shirt, it was sleeveless given her cropped leather jacket hung a little on her right side, showing off her freckled shoulder and fair flesh between the fur trim of her leather jacket and the ribbed blouse. The canine's tail swished behind her playfully, and her large ears wiggled as she smirked at the loser, a small fang poking her lower right lip as she smiled. "Remember, deals a deal, kay?" She hummed, her toes tapping at the air as she leaned back and forth on the back legs of the chair.

The man who lost, bowed his head... and silently stood up.

"Get out of here, and tell your customers to clear out as well... unless they fancy a game with me." She giggled, almost maliciously.

With that, she actually stood up, and pushed away the seat, grabbing her winnings. "Y'know, never mind." She walked to the door to her new bedroom office and smirked back at him. "I'll do it myself~"
