Shooting Range

"Alright Elf-if you dont have a name I'll keep calling you elf." he said as he turned to the other woman. "Lovely Swallow...yeah same with you. Your going with us because if I hire you you have to get your bearings around here. Ok-so if there is a gun you like to fire Lovely Swallow-just come up here and take your stance beside Elf." he explained as he looked down the 500 yard range with a grin.

"The name is Alanna...and may I see the gun now?" Alanna said antzily. She was ready to start getting down to business in determining whether or not to buy this weapon...if she even had the money. She watched the other woman carefully to see how she responded. The woman seemed determined to get the job and that she knew something about weapons but maybe that was just how she portrayed herself...

Asuka glared at him. "And mine's Asuka. I'll take the Riptide revolver she had earlier, thank you." she replied as she looked to the woman Alanna. She let a smirk run acrossed her face and headed over beside her. "So-are you studying me like that ADN woman in the Ravager Alanna?" she asked with a slight playful chuckle.

He laughed. "And I'm Booth-stay here." he said going back into the shop-and returning with the revolver and some ammo. He handed the Quicksilver Pro to Alanna, and the Riptide Revolver to Asuka. "Ok-keep it level and pointed only down the range. Got it?" he told them.

"heh...heh...sure..." Alanna said to Asuka. When Booth returned with the gun she felt her hand struggle a little from the shock of the actual weight of the real weapon. She lifted the weapon with her right hand and stood sideways to a target down the range. "I think I can keep it aimed down range...as long as I don't get suprised."

She fired a single shot down the range stepping back from the slight recoil she wasn't expecting.

A bigger sound was heard after the .44 round was fired and tore a hole through the paper target's heart. The large gun still smoking in her hands, she turned to Alanna's target and made a blank face.
"You...hit it right?" she asked.

Booth blinked, crossing his arms as he smoked a cig. "Nope-just seems to me she somehow managed to blast a hole through my favorite ball cap." he said as the hole smoked above his head-his eyes in an irritated manner as he grabbed Alanna by the shoulder-grabbing her wirst and leveling the weapon to the paper. "You aim-like this," he started. "You put a little force against the recoil-but not so much that you'll drop your line of sight. Then-when your ready-you pull the trigger and fire." he replied. "And...congradulations-Your at least working here for a week to pay off for the damage to my hat!" he screamed in her ear as he grumbled back to the shop above. "Oh yeah. Asuka, you've been hired the minute you've asked-come up here and I'll give you the tour." he called back-his voice echoing into the room where they stood.

Alanna blinked and blushed as she felt Booth show her how to properly fire the weapon. Her face went blank when she heard:

"And...congradulations-Your at least working here for a week to pay off for the damage to my hat!"

Alanna focused the weapon gripping it with both hands aiming at the target's chest. She let rip a quick three shots at the target in frustration at Booth's statement. A quick succession of shots could be heard as the bullets hit the target. A glance at the target showed a shot in the head, a shot in the shoulder, and another at the base of the target. Alanna smirked picturing the bullet hole at the base of the target being Booth's "special parts".

Lowering the weapon Alanna turned to yell at Booth but stopped to say quickly to Asuka, "How much do you think that cap is worth? Looked pretty beat up to me...2 gil? maybe?"

Asuka shook her head with a grin. "To me it looks like it's worth shit-but who knows? Well in either case it seems we will be working together for a while-the name's Asuka Saito." she said as she took the riptide revolver and looked at Alanna's shots. "Damn...dont get her pissed...those are liable kill shots...heh-she works better under pressure-gotta remember that." she thought with a blink.

"Alanna Peony...and it appears so. Just hope i'm not that worker that gets called out for the smallest mistakes." she replied smirking and then asking, "So how'd I do on my second round? Anger can be a great motivater sometimes." As Alanna waited for a response she couldn't help but look over Asuka...sadly it reminded her of what just occurred with Asura. (So many A names!).

She made sure she had a tight grip on the gun and leaned against the wall near the firing line as she waited for the answer staring blankly at the back of the range. Alanna wondered what to do...she now had a job thanks to an accident and was in a fight with someone she cared for deeply within a few moments of knowing her.

"I just hope this guy...isn't a complete pervert...if I even spot a skimpy uniform coming my way...there will be blood." Alanna mused.

Asuka blinked. "Alanna Peony huh? Well if you dont want to keep calling me Asuka you can simply call me Saito or Sai. But yeah...as for your second round-let's just-not aim at the boss; ok? heheh..." she said with a nervous smile that suddenly changed back to a more relaxed grin. "But yeah-it seems there was more stock delivered apparently." she said as she pointed behind Alanna. "I wonder if he knew he had a full supply of new guns waiting for him in the range haha." she added with a giggle.

"Oh great...thrown a job thirty seconds ago and already having to lug crates?...wait didn't he want to show you around this place, Saito?" Alanna inquired after thinking about how Booth was already wanting give a tour to Saito. Either way there was probably going to be some fun weapons in the crates...that Booth might not want Alanna touching.

"On second thought let's go bug Booth...I don't think he'd like me perusing weapons that may be more deadly than this QuicksilverPRO after my first shot..." she said chuckling nervously at her own bad shot.

She laughed. "Yeah, I almost forgot about that-oh jeeze." she then looked at Alanna's last remark and smiled. "Heheh-sure-but not to the point where he'd fire me on the spot!" she whispered as she headed up the stairs.

"excuse me ladies" I say to the two Striking girls passing me. I make my steady walk into range 1 and pulling out my newly shined .50 BMG magnum with "Seven Seven" carved onto it. and after about 12 shots placed precisely into the head, heart, spleen, and lungs i get bored fast and remember the girls walking out. "hey gals!" i yell after sprinting into the hall outside and spotting them

Asuka half turns and blinks. "Hmm?" She waits for the man to approach and then fully turns around to greet him. "May I help you?" she asked, cocking an eyebrow. She leans a little to her left, her left hand on her hip. He looked familiar but at the same time not. Perhaps she had passed him earlier, or seen him rummaging through the weapons and ammo in stock but really could not place a name to his face.

One of the girls notices his effort and places a semi-sassy look on her face and asks "may I help you?" Noticing his rudeness Keegan stops and replies "Sorry for the inconvenience, but I actually I have a question. What is a girl like you doing buying Gear like that?" then remembering he forgot to introduce himself he adds "Sorry, my name is Keegan, professional Sniper and soldier, My apologies if I crossed a line but you seem like a nice young lady who would not have enemys that would call for a QuickSilver"

Can't be selling any guns that don't work out in the field, that be more dangerous than anything else I would assume. Besides, I like to fire guns, as long as the targets are paper!" she says with a lighthearted laugh and then smiled. "I'm Asuka, by the way. Quite a pleasure to meet a man with such a combat record!" she says with enthusiasm, taking another step towards the man. "So, you've been around the world then I'd take it, right?" she asked, interested in some small talk. She was actually done with her shift but had decided to test the merchandise on her own time.

After seeing that no harm was Keegan decided to answer "I have never really thought about it but yes
I have been around most of the world, well just the places people need to be killed in. So you work here?"

She cocked an eyebrow at that last remark, but kept her smile and enthusiasm. "Huh, interesting. I've only been on this continent of Gailden myself. Not much really goes on in most parts of Gailden, at least till recently. I guess you might be heading west then at one point. I hear my home town of 'Beijio' has been 'under constant threat' recently. But yeah, I work here." she says with a grin. "Worked here for about almost a year now, today was my last day and then I'm on a week long vacation." she says placing the handgun back into a rack. She turns to him. "So, are you from here? I mean, this city?" she asked placing one hand on her hip, looking up at the interesting customer.

Noticing her expression about his job Keegan noted to stay off the subject "I don't know where I was born, but I was found in the wastelands" Then after adjusting his watch he decided to add "But if I had a home it would probably be right here in Gailden"

"Interesting." she says looking at his watch, which clued her in to checking the time. She turns her head to the clock and gasps. "Oh dear, its that time already?! Huh, I didn't even know it was 7:30 I wasted too much time here as it is!" She said turning back with a chuckle. "So, have you been in this city long, Keegan?" she asked, not wanting to further pry about his life unless granted the permission.

After seeing that she was late for something He tried to answer as quickly as possible "only a couple of years coming back and fourth from different parts of the world" "If you have somewhere to be, please don't let me hold you back" Keegan added with a grin.

She places a hand under her chin. Pondering. "Well, if thats the case I'm sure you haven't really got a chance to check out the fine Capital City Ithteca's sights. I'm not too busy, but standing around here makes me feel a bit lazy. If you got time, I don't mind showing you around here." she says with a grin, folding her arms under her bouncing bosom.

"I just might take you up on that offer Asuka, that is if you don't mind" replied Keegan "Just let me pack up my pistol" He said while turning towards his pistol and it's ammunition on the range table

"Yeah. I have no problem with that." she says, removing her arms and then went for her jacket from the range beside where he had left his pistol. Keegan was an interesting character so far, so she really didn't mind giving him a private tour of the town's hotspots, it would help learning where to go if you needed to meet someone or have a quick escape.
