Off the Feniran Coast Empty Off the Feniran Coast

Post  Belya Ursineus Wed Nov 24, 2021 7:20 am

Just off the Feniran coast, a number of ships which were continuing to sail towards Fenira's capital. These ships, six destroyers, three battleships, and a carrier were a small part of the Izheveskian Royal Naval Fleet led by Admiral Belya Ursineus and her flagship the Tsarina Crystalfal:

The ships had travelled all the way from the Far North as part of Admiral Ursineus' training routine as well as some 'free time' to give to her 12,348 battle hardened elite who were present on this exercise, give or take. They were no more than a few knots from their destination when the Officer received word that the Royal Family of Izhevesk had been wiped out in a coup led by the Prime Minister and members of the Ministry of Intelligence and Espionage. A total take over, and seizure of military personnel followed. There were reportedly no survivors, save the Princess, but that was only within the intelligence community and thanks to the Admiral's pull, she was privy of this information way before the MIE got interested in her current whereabouts.

That was nearly two months ago now...

Their vessels hadn't left the off shore area of Fenira save the patrol boats they dispatched from the carrier which they took between Fenira and Beijio City for supplies. Northern Command was quite anxious for a response from their young, beautiful and deadly Admiral Belya Ursineus- their 'Bear of the Far North'. She was sitting over the hologram of a globe in blue, orange dots sprinkling about the map.

"Attention all hands. At 0800, we received a transmission from the Zuu 32, requesting that they escort the AWOL Admiral and her crew of 12,348 back to her native Izhevesk for an immediate hearing from the Ministry and High Council of Chancellors... pending the continued Admiralty of her Lady, Belya Ursineus. The Lady Admiral is reminded that despite her now abolished 'Noble rank' and despite her prior heroic actions as an Admiral of the former Royal Navy of Izhevesk, she will answer to the New Izhevesk Republic's orders to return to base escorted by the New Republic's Zuu 32 without further delay or resistance. Should she not acknowledge the law given order to return to base, or should she show aggression to the Zuu 32 or any of the New Republic's Allies both civilian and military alike, she is to be considered a traitor and stripped of her command and thrown in the brig till escorted to Izhevesk where she will receive a summons for her immediate arrest and or execution of punishment which can include an indefinite stay in the Kulugna Mines or public execution. Those, under her command who acknowledge the new government, including the Admiral, shall be given clemency for peaceful interactions. Should the crew and Admiral decide not to return peacefully, Zuu 32 and her immediate comrades have been ordered to sink the fleet and condemn the Admiral and her 12,348 crew to a watery grave. You have 48 hours to respond to this summons Admiral Ursineus, or you and your crew will be branded traitors of the state. Signed the Prime Minister of the New Izhevesk Republic." Says the Admiral over a loudspeaker to her crew.

She leaned over the panel, fingers clasped, her piercing blue eyes reflecting the map of the world, and of Zuu 32's steadily approaching fleet of perhaps 18 or so destroyers, a handful of battleships give or take. They really think we've went rogue... after what we did for them escorting the MIE and Special Forces Group in the Beiji-Scardia Islands... I'm being branded a traitor for maintaining radio silence because I really don't know what is the best choice of action for my crew... The woman thought, trying to not look nervous.

"The 'New Republic' has demanded I bring us home to test us of our loyalty to the previous regime. After nearly two months, the new government is now forcing our hand- to choose our loyalty over the former Royal Family, or bend the knee to the 'New Republic'. My comrades, we are all that is left of the Izheveskian Royal Navy, so I ask that you take these 48 hours seriously... and decide what is best for our family. All I would say is not to choose a cowards path in your decision. We should not face a mutiny with our brothers and sisters after these past months at sea, and should save such energy for the arrival of the Zuu 32. I have decided that we shall settle this matter via a vote. Crew will report to your commanding officers who shall tally the votes and then given to the wardens of your vessels. The wardens will then report to the Tzarina Crystalfall to deliver the results. Dismissed." Finished the Admiral who then pushed away from the console.

The woman was tall, beautiful, with long blue hair and blue eyes. Her thigh boots heels clicked as she walked from her place on the bridge to the conservatory window, glancing out to the coast of Fenira... then glanced back towards the coastline of Gailden. Beijio City was a visible dot on the horizon, as was a malicious purple beam somewhere towards Danton? Jemial? Hard to tell it was so far and the orange light of the setting sun was in her eyes.

"Damn it... is this the right decision?" She asked herself out loud.

She glanced back at the map and half smirked. "...all that mobilization for a small fleet and her 'legendary' Admiral? I almost feel flattered. Almost. They should have sent more." She sighed, sitting on a bench beside the window leaning back as with one leg crossed. Bel was on great terms with the Royal Family, the so called 'missing princess' was a close friend whom she doubted would have been able to survive out in the real world on her own. She had no love for this 'New Republic' either, not just because they murdered the Royal Family but they removed the nobility class and other traditional values. It felt out of place... not right. But did she want to jeopardize the lives of her crew for her own, selfish actions? She wasn't sure...

"Hrmmm...." she moaned.
