The Gorge Fortress: Tower Pinnacle & Main Throneroom [Destroyed]

The Battle Lord peered out from the toweing spire, and observed all was in readiness for the next phase.

{"Activate the Storm Columns. It is time to bathe the world in darkness and terror..."}

Upon the creatures command, 2 large almost ribcage looking arpateurs rose out of the tower pinnacles and began to vibrate and move very organically.



Once they did so, dark clouds and thick mists began to appear and grow around the two columns....

{"In mere hours, this mountain chain with be covered in a massive ion storm hundreds of times more powerful than any lighting storm this world has ever born witness to... The perfect cover... for the Seige of Ithteca."}

The rumblings and thuds of explosions rocked the tower spire, sending several Hellspawned monstrosities tumbling to the ground, while the Battlelord, Raza'thi'iel, clenched hard to his command chair with gritted teeth.

"Someone give me a damn status report! By the flames of the devils tongue!" he bellowed out.

"Sir, we are under attack! Single assailant, identity unknown!" came the reports of an acolyte, trying to stand upright among the quivering tiles.

"What do you mean unknown!? Use the psionic probes you idiot!" the Battlelord roared in rage, snarling and spittle flying.

"We can't sir! Whomever it is, they are blocking the scan completely!" The acolyte paled even more than usual.

"Impossible! The only one who could..... Oh no.... He's here... Edgar.... He's in the tower!" the battlelord reared up, and quickly gripped his rotary cannon weapon. "All personnel! Battle Stations! Get to your red one battle stations! Go GO!!"

The massive stone doors burst inward, showering the occupants of the command room with debris. Behind the veil of dust, smoke and the wailing of the dead and dying, Edgar stood, eyes blazing red, and an aura of violet energies surging around him like wild flame. "You're too late, Battlelord. Your tower of oppression is a ruin, and your warriors have fallen. Now, all that is left is to finish you, and what remains of your little splinter of a building..." Ed's voice was full of rage and hatred, but calm and icy as any permafrost on the polar wastes.

With no further words, the enraged half human rushed towards the scaly monster as it raised it's rotary weapon...

The battlelord bit back any retort it may have had, and instead roared loudly, gathering energy into it's right hand, the beast rent a backhanded fist into the onrushing Edgar, smashing the much smaller statured being into the wall to the right of the creature. Knowing not to underestimate the man, Raza'thi'iel immediately pointed it's rotary canon weapon at Ed, unleashing a torrent of thermal energy beams from the spinning barrels, reducing the wall to hot slag, ash, and smoke.

Ed;s retaliatory blast of violet death splashed off of the Battlelord's armour and charred it's forearm badly, melting the natural spikes there. With pained rage, the Battlelord started firing mortars from the cannon's underslung 90mm launcher, blowing a hole out into the open air, and sending Edgar outside.

Edgar however, simply hovered in mid air, and the Battlelord chased him, tackling him and sending both of them into a freefall of falling limbs and smashing blows.
