Andacra's Italian Restaurant

Shelke nodded. "Ahh...So I'm the odd one out, huh?" she sighed, then shook her head. "Both here on buisness, you?" she asked in return, returning to sipping her tea.

Tifa nodded. "Same here; but with the wonderful addition to running away from Bard's wife and her 'Spartan's Blood' she calls 'coffee'." she said with a chuckle. She looked back to Bard and smiled. "Well, it's been a long time since we last met-I'm sorry I had to borrow your bike and all..." she started in a soft tone.

"It's ok, but I'm guessing you found something of interest stored in Fenrir?" Barduwulf asked, eyebrow raised.

She blushed. Looking back at the unique weapon. "I'm surprised she's still durable, after 18 years-her younger and superior sister is in Scardia with her creator..." she started, closing her eyes and smiling softly. "I could'nt help-It would have been locked up in there for another eighteen years if I didn't give her some air." she said, half teasingly.

Shelke cocked an eyebrow. "Forgive me if I'm blunt-but what exactly are you both talking about? What's with the literal razor blade of a sword about?" She asked curiously, sipping her tea again as she leaned a little over the table.

"It was a gift from Shane."

She nodded. "Shane was our...friend. I believed he gave you this blade Barduwulf after you guys first met, right?" she asked grinning sweetly.

"Yeah, we met on the Highwind, we were both new to the airship."

"I think I was either still working at the bar-or I had just signed up for the Mu-Irzik Tornament and was competing in it..." she added, unsure if she was correct or not at that moment. "All I remember was that you both ran into Reno who had just recently been shot in the head (for like the eighth time), and had bumped into him-and later they were banned from entering the cafe for a few months-but they never did return there last I remember."

She sighed. "That was back when my sister was still alive, right?" she asked, a little depressed when she asked.

Perhaps I should change the subject.... "So, Tifa, what have you been up to?"

She blinked at his sudden change of the subject before she thought about Shelke. "Oh, I've been a guide up in the forests and around the mountains of Windscar Lake Village. I've been looking over the Crest Inn too-it's what Jessie would have wanted-may she be still the cheerful girl we knew in the spirit world!" she said bowing her head slightly to honor the dead.

Shelke sighed. "It's okay...it's been eighteen years. Shalua...died a hero." She started, holding back tears but managed a smile.

"*ahem*, as for me, I'm here on consul business, probably gonna meet up with Rufus, in all his trolling glory." Barduwulf said, trying to lighten the mood with a joke.

Tifa giggled. "Heh, I have to meet up with old Dufus Tenik too." she replied, sticking her tongue out and winking as she called him 'Dufus'.

Shelke smiled slightly at the remarks, but she herself didn't know what else to say. "Well, I should go back on that autopsy of that Alien; well if you guys want to-let's get together sometime and have a party out in Scardia-sound any good?" she asked with a genuine grin.

"Sounds good, I'll mention it to Kat when we chat next."

Tifa grinned between the two and thought back of those old days. Though Rufus did cause a lot of trouble-to the extreme kind; she had to thank him for pairing her up with perhaps the best group of friends she had since the years prior to her joining the T.I.R.S.. She stood up, and collected the weapons, turning to Barduwulf. "So, wanna head on over to see good old Dufus Trollnik?" she asked sticking her tongue out a little.

Shelke shook her head. "I'll pass...I have to get to the lab anyway." she said again. "Run along, and tell the bastard I said hi." she then got off her seat and walked away.

"Don't worry, I will!" Barduwulf replied as Shelke left. He turned to Tifa and said "Well, that meeting is soon, better get going."

She was already on the street by the time he said so. "So ready-Rufus will be still preparing the meeting when I walk in." she replied with an air of humor. She then walked down the steet-wondering what Ikai was up to for some reason...what a strange fleeting thought...

Asuka walks into the inter parlor of the restaurant alongside the taller Keegan. She turns to the waiter and smiles and the man nods, waving them both to a booth deeper into the restaurant. She tugged a little on Keegan's left arm as they made their way to the table. She took a seat and turns to the mercenary with a bright smile as well.

Eager to start up a conversation Keegan decides to try and break the ice "So, where did you learn to shoot?" he asked awkwardly.

She looks to the man, and smiles a little. "Oh, I took an entrance exam for the Beijio Public Service Agency, to follow in my father's footsteps. But neither the Prime Minister nor the Empress wanted my services. So needless to say, I didn't get the job. I'm used to being around weaponry, my father left a lot of guns and swords after his passing." she says leaning a little closer to the table.

Happy that he is on a familiar subject Keegan relaxed a little "sorry that it turned out that way, with your entrance exam. I personally am not the type for public works. My hours are mine to control, I have damn good pay, and most of all I have no one telling me what to do." then after skimming over the menu he asks "so what did your father do for a living to amass such weaponry?" The battle hardened sniper starts to blush "or is that a bit private?"
