On the beaten path...

Liru was on the road again, with her new weapons and her waypoint headed towards Beijio. She had wondered what marvels would await her in the next town-not much since the next town would be Jemial. Back when she was younger it had the simple name of "Roughland". True to it's namesake, it was a rough treck of land. She paused beside a ridge, taking out her canteen the Okami knocked back a shot of regular plain water. She finished with an audible gulp and expulsion of a satisfied sigh, wiping the moistness off her lips with her left arm. She looked around and observed the beaten and withered path she was traveling on. A dirt littered rocky unpaved trail that descended or ascended the mountain side (depending on your perspective of it). She was making her way down the path again, as previously stated she was going to cut through Jemial and keep heading west to Beijio. She wasn't entirely sure if she was going to head all the way to Beijio-likely take a detore north or south once she felt the particular need to do so. She would need to restock on water if she chose to still head through the wastelands. No water in the wastelands is a death sentence for anything or anyone. Okami's included. She took another quick sip before closing the lid of the canteen and continued forth.

After taking a relaxing bath, the young cat girl continued her way down the beaten path. In one arm she carried a basket, in the other a traveling map. She was going to head to Jemial City to wait till the new Trans-Continental Train everyone was talking about would perhaps take her to Rolan or even just to Beijio. Then again, there was the Silver Crest Casino she had been hearing about for the longest time. It was a pleasant evening, but she knew to arrive to the city well before it got too dark out to see.

The large beast had scaled the gorge and was now on top of flat land. He dug his claws into the loose soil and let the sediment fall between his long wispy fingertips. "YES.... THIS SOIL, THIS AIR.... FREE AT LAST TO DO WHAT I WILL!" he exclaimed. His nearly 20 year slumber was over, and he came out of it a lot more powerful. The demonic energy within him was enough to make his appearance become darker, and stronger. He licked his lips. He could smell a tasty cat woman upon the road he was on, but there was something else... His gold eyes dilated and his jaw drooped. He could sense...her. He grinned, licking his spiky teeth with his long black forked tongue. She was quite a ways from where he stood now at his 25' height. He had an idea where she possibly was too. His old hunting grounds... while the continent of Galdin was his hunting grounds, his favorite areas included Beijio and Danton City, the World Capitol. He sneered. "TIME FOR ME TO SEE... WHAT HAS CHANGED SINCE I'VE LAST WALKED THIS EARTH!" He chuckled darkly, hopping down the path on all fours. As he came in contact with the poor cat girl, he quickly, with no remorse or even a chance to savor her flesh, slammed his maw down upon the girl and jerked back his head, swallowing her in one bite while he continued to sprint on all fours down the path. Her body hardly bulged out his chest she she was so small. She was a quick breakfast, and she'd take a little while to digest since he had just awakened from years without eating; her body would break down however and be the first to fuel his body to take on the next meal, and he needed his strength. It was unfortunate he didn't get to savor her, as she settled into his stomach, while he continued to run between canyon sides and narrow paths and plateaus. But it didn't matter, he was more focused on his main course...

"HEHHEH....I CAN HARDLY WAIT, IT'S BEEN A WHILE... BELLA!" he screamed, his evil laughter bellowing out in the wide open air.

"Gods... DAMNED USELESS!!" she growled, as her hoverbike came to a crawl. Smoke drifted from the Tenik-Chesluk Core and the bike's levitation dropped from two feet to two inches as she was climbing the hill. As it was, she was near the ruins of where the previous Dragon Alley's pub was located, the one her mother worked at. The area was large, near the shore for the aquatic monsters could craw in and have some fun too; it wasn't as large as the one in Domescadia however that Kisa worked at however. She tore her eyes away from it, and decided that she'd have to abandon the bike and take what supplies she could. She's just have to pick it up later with her airship. She waddled the bike over to the burnt out ruins, and hid the bike from prying eyes... before continuing back to the path. "Yup... this'll suck..." she says, glaring up the mountain pathway leading into the forested mountainside leading to Ithtecca. She shook her head side to side, katana on one hip and at the ready as she pressed forth.
