Path to the beam
Vince began to slow his hover bikes acceleration and slows the bike to a crawl. He looks about on this narrow stretch of land with boulders and other material laying across the path. The demon hunter brought up his hand, silently placing it upon his lips without making a sound. He steps off the bike and takes a step towards the cliff face above him. He then turned around and looked at the cliff face below. He sits down behind the brush and sits, doesn't even think. He simply zones out. As Mink was about to pull herself off the bike, he brought out his hand to stop her and shook his head 'no'. He slowly walked away from the woman and started heading down another path by himself, and then was out of sight.

She cocked an eyebrow at the strangeness of the act, but followed his orders as he had specified before. She remains there on the hover bike and looked off into the distance. That light from earlier was indeed strange, and the eerie way it glowed was quite unsettling... She immediately remembered rule number three: Always be alert. Back into alert mode again, she remained on the bike placing her hands upon the handlebars when she heard the distant explosions ((oocc: this is when Yoko would have been falling and the miners would have been blowing up)). Her long ears picked up the sounds before the explosions echo against the canyon's and gorge's walls. "What was that? I know this is a mining area...but that was definitely more than regular dynamite that went off..." she thought, pondering more about it.Vincent Valor wrote:Vince began to slow his hover bikes acceleration and slows the bike to a crawl. Re: Path to the beam
Unbeknown to the two new arrivals, several of the Stalker monsters sent out to silently secure the surrounding area came across the two separating Demon Hunters. Their own invisibility camouflaged them well in the dense woodland as they observed the pair silently.
3 pair followed Vincent from the silent canopies of the trees and teleportation. The remaining 3 remained in position, observing Mink, waiting for an opportune moment to strike her down, and either feast on her on the spot, or drag her back to the Battle Lord.

Mink remained there for a moment or two longer, just sitting there upon the hoverbike. Her face expressed that she was finding this more or less boring. "Vincent! Are you on a piss-break or something?" she called out, holding her head up with her open right palm. There was something else too...it wasn't just the fact he was taking too long, but it almost felt as though she was...'being watched'. A shiver up her spine, and the Drow reclines, scanning the world around her carefully. "Its... a little quiet." she thinks.

The creatures remained unmoving, unsounding, observing as the dark humanoid became skittish... they realised that she was alert, and that the wildlife was silent, undoubtedly scared of either themselves, or the corruptive influence of the nearby Spire.
