But when Yoko dove in behind some rocky outcroppings some distance behind him and stopped moving away, he grunted and his aura flashed. Bringing his two hands together in front of him, forming a fan with his fingers, and merging the two collected spheres of energy, the crackling result was one huge ball of energy, ready for the attack.

With a roar, Edgar unleashed the largest attack he had used in 13 years. The ball, now a beam of energy crashed into the side of the Spire, and continued to grow. The intense beam of light disintegrated the spire, everything in it, and everything around it. The width of the blast grew tremendously, vapoursing furrows into the mountainsides on either side of the gorge, eventually widening until it eclipsed even the mountains in sheer size. The immense energy wave completely blasted out of the gorge and streaked into the sea. Not following the curvature of the planet, it eventually escaped the atmosphere, and streaked off into space, heading towards it's true intended destination, the great  Supergate the Horde had deployed in space. The shockwaves and shuddering earthquakes were felt planet wide, not to mention the immense size and light visibility would ensure that everyone on the planet knew something had happened here...

The charred, smoking remnants of the Guardian's Gorge were a testament to the immense devastation Ed had unleashed here, and one could only guess as to how much more damage could have been wrought had such an attack exploded on the ground, or within the atmosphere.

Once the attack had been completed. Edgar's aura faded, and he slowly descended to the smoking ground, where he fell to his knees, winded, exhausted, and breathing raggedly.

Maemi turned covering her eyes with her right arm to block the light from directly blinding her. "By Esdar's Tome, what is that?!" she exclaimed, while Riley ducked down, using the tower's walls to block the bright light. Maemi was soon knocked off her feet, landing onto Riley as the tremors that followed shook the tower. "Oof!" Maemi exclaimed, breasts smooshed against the hard floor, and her stomach over Riley's back. She thought of the light as she lay there, and thought it may have been a blast similar to a fusion core melt down or the large cannon used in Asrond 18 years ago, but what accounted for the tremors? She had to wonder...

Tylos's body pulsed again, the distant light and energy effecting his mind and caused his soul to burst with overwhelming emotions! "GROOOOOOooaw!!!" he roared, red eyes glowing as his 'restrictions' seemingly got revoked again. His attention focused back at the X1, and with his X-Ray vision could still see the glowing thing within the robot breathing, sensed its heart beat. He wanted to kill it. Unhinged and unrestrained, Tylos let out another booming roar and charged, digging his claws into the torso of the X1, and began peeling back the torso's chassis, exposing more of the occupant within!

Ayase was still breathing heavily, unaware of what was occurring outside, and laid there, over one arm of the seat as she thought of what needed work with the X1:



"We need to find a way to get the satellite live feed to work when in 'Manual' Mode, that's for sure. We also need to fix the heating issue... perhaps if we pumped coolant through the main chamber? No, no, that wouldn't work; it freeze the computers and keep them from working properly. Bummer..."

She was then rudely interrupted from her thoughts when she heard the loud sound of screaming metal bounce off the walls around her, forcing her hands to her ears, cringing and clenching her teeth. Winking open her eyes, she immediately fell back into her seat, and stumbled for the controls, as Tylos was apparently tearing open the X1's chest! "FuckfuckfuckfuckfuckFUCKmy life!!!" she exclaimed, trying to get the arms and legs of the machine moving again. Detached from the main console however, she was unable to visually target her laser or use her right arm effectively, but Shino was in the mindset yet to not panic and shoot blindly; there were many personnel out there whom she'd rather not accidentally skeletonize with a lethal laser or turn into red paste with the auto cannons. She instead, however, used the arms to bash Tylos's head, and body, while back stepping with the X1. "Professor Mimi!!" she exclaimed through her comms, while trying to halt the beast. She couldn't exactly just exit the seat and leave...not with the VOID Device being shared by the cockpits seat and her personal device... if she removed it now.... she wouldn't be able to hold it back, nor stand with the X1... all she could do now was struggle till the Doctor and Riley did something about it!!

Maemi and Riley were still laying down when they heard the roar, the crunching metal, and Shino's screams. Quickly, Maemi got to her feet in a mad rush, bouncing assets swaying as she opened the door to the control tower and saw Tylos tearing into the Amadeus once again! Shocked, Maemi back stepped. "Im-impossible!" Riley was already trying to work out the problem, hovering over the switchboard with fear and confusion. "Oh no! The Restriction Override is fried, something, that distant explosion must have disabled it somehow!" he exclaimed, trying to figure how to get the system running again. "I told you this was a mistake! Gods damn it all!!!" he screamed, pounding his fist against the machine. Maemi turned from Tylos, the X1, to Riley and then the console before pushing him over and taking over. "Calm down, we can just reactivate the system by shutting down the power and turning it back on! It only takes a minute or two to boot up, but then we can activate the Restriction Code. I'll go down to the base of the tower and turn the circuit off, you reactivate the code, got it?!" she exclaimed, snarling.

Riley, without much choice simply nodded, and watched as Maemi exited the tower and began climbing down the ladder to the towers base.

Tylos, ignoring the slamming arms flailing at him, pushes the machine onto its back, almost straddling the giant robot. Using gravity and its sheer anger, Tylos digs his claws deeper, fitting his fingers through the interior of the cabin, before he used his might, and began peeling it back like the lid of a sardine can. Light shined down into the chamber, revealing the floating seat inside as well as the pilot of the X1. Staring down at the creature, who was about the size of a doll and whose torso and waist could easily fit around his grasp, the large dinosaur like creature expelled a loud, head ache inducing roar into the mostly hollow torso, also sending spittle over the walls and occupant too. With the target no longer shielded, he tried fitting his jaws inside, to snap at her, but she was too far deep to chomp onto. Relentless though, he pulled his neck back and instead reached with his right arm and claw, grasping both her, and the cockpit seat together!

Maemi makes her way down the rungs of the ladder, megaphone bouncing off her butt, and having kicked off her heels and letting them fall when she was at the top. She clung tightly to the rungs with every quake made by Tylos, and she continued her descent till she finally made it to the sandy bottom. Without hesitation she made her way over to the circuit breaker and tore it open, pulling down the lever and shutting off the circuit. "Okay, thirty seconds..." she breathed, and then after a few nervous glances towards Tylos and poor Shino, she flipped the switch and sent power back into the switch board. She raised the megaphone and exclaimed: "Now Riley, power up the switch board!"

Riley, listening, did as she asked, powering up the switch board, letting it boot up. It would take a few minutes, then they should be back online and able to reactivate the Restrictions, but he knew they needed a little more time. Under the switchboard, Riley pulls out a long duraluminum case with a red sticker across it's surface that read: "DANGER: Emergency Use ONLY!", and uses a set of keys around his neck to unlock the hinges. "I should have done this earlier, but with my incompetence, I completely forgot about it being here!" Riley exclaimed, unlocking the case and pulled back the lid, revealing an ADN standard issue, AA-MK2 'Basilisk' Anti-Tank Launcher:



He had some military training, all the scientists here did as per requirement, but the device didn't look all that complicated to operate, it was laser guided, he hardly have to do any thing but aim and shoot! He hefted the heavy rocket out and then pulled out one of the HEAT rounds from the case and loaded it via the rear hold, and then snapped it back in place.

Maemi was unsure what the man was up to up there, till she saw him step out onto the balcony and raise the rocket launcher. Becoming three sheets paler, she rose the megaphone and shrieked: "NO! Riley put that down!!!"

Undeterred, Riley levels the weapon with the scope, till he hears three beeps and a long and steady ring. "I don't work for monsters!" he exclaimed, the weapon trained on the Monster's face and pulled the trigger. The rocket launcher made a loud BANG, firing its payload and sending it streaking across the sky towards Tylos's head!

Shino flinched, her teeth gritting as the ear splitting roar reverberated across the walls and rattled her very bones. She felt it's sick saliva splat against her suit and cockpit, and she winked her eyes open and let out a shrill scream as it's jaws snapped only a foot or so away from her body. "Oh Gods, this thing's going to kill me if I don't think of something quick!" She thought as it pulled its face out from the interior, and used this moment to manipulate her arms up to grab hold of its neck while its right arm descended, the right claw grasping around the cockpit tightly! "Oh shit my life!" she exclaimed, not caring that it didn't make sense, and pushed against the beasts head, keeping it back. If it yanked her, or the cockpit out of this control room, power will be immediately lost on the X1, even so, the limbs should stay in place if that were to occur, giving her ample time to possibly jettison the craft, but she would have to detach the shared power between her personal VOID device and the cockpit seats now or she won't have any power left!

Hearing a loud booming sound, and noticing the left side of Tylos's face light up with a red glare that got quickly brighter, Shino put all she had into manipulating Tylos's head so it would accept the full blow of the oncoming rocket. "Hraaaaaaaaaah!!!" she screamed, giving it her all to keep this beast in the line of the rockets fire!

The rocket stuck Tylos' head, his head twisting in the opposite direction of where the missile struck. He stopped his assault, his weight dropping towards his right side as he fell and landed onto the sandy mounds dotting the landscape of the desert wasteland. His scales were scorched, but no physical damage was otherwise shown. However, the force of the blow was enough to send the Goliath into an unconscious state, sprawled against the sand, twitching and making low, guttural moans, before simply breathing heavily.

With the dust settling, Mimi glanced over to the fallen over, unconscious beast. She let out a shrill scream, hands upon her head as she fell to her knees, wide eyed.

Riley on the tower breathed a sigh of relief, and immediately called for a medical crew as well as the military staff on hand to help contain the situation on his handset.

After several minutes of silence, Maemi finally stood up and made her way over to the large machine and beast on foot, even as the medical staff were arriving to help Shino. She rushed alongside them, as they pulled out Ayase's body from the mech. She frowned, walking up to her as they lay her upon a stretcher, her hands upon the side of it as she looked down at her teenage assistant. "Ayase! Ayase, are you alright?!" she exclaimed, panic in her tone.

Ayase had passed out after the bright light connected with Tylos' head, having used much of her energy against him. After being carefully pulled out by the rescue team her helmet removed to show off her long brown hair held into a ponytail, before she was placed upon a stretcher and was being carried out when Maemi's voice stirred her. Her eyelids fluttered open, and she turned to face the scientist with lidded eyes. "Mimi...?" she spoke weakly, before taking in her words. She nodded, weakly trying to sit up as she was being moved by the medical team. "All except...my legs." she says softly, her face turning worrisome.

Ayase turned to the scientist with a grim look upon her face. "I... I can't feel them." she says this in a grave tone, watching the scientist freak out. Ayase then slowly smiled and began to laugh. Ayase Shino lacked the ability to use her legs prior to stepping into the mech, she was a paraplegic after all. "Okay guys, bring me to the medical bay. I want to make sure I didn't suffer a concussion." she states, and was whisked away.
