Hmm. Apologies miss, but just realized I never heard you're name. But where are my manners" He offers a hand to help her up.
She took his hand gratefully. "It's no trouble...You look swamped." As she stood up, she was a few inches smaller than the General. She pushed back her hood, her twin tails spilling out from the corners of the dark red robe she had been wearing, allowing them all a better view of her youthful face. "I'm Leiran Fao Dashir, daughter of Fanlan Dashir, of the Council of Magi." She introduces herself, smiling a little as if trying to force one.

"Nice to meet you miss Leiran, I am Barduwulf Garamonde, though I suppose with everyone calling me 'General', you've already figured that out. Come see me in my office when your back up to snuff, I shouldn't keep Leland waiting. Mik o can show you the way. After that, we'll see if we can get a full grasp on the situation." He made his goodbyes and left.

Vahn tipped his head to the General as he made his way back to his office. "In the meantime General, I shall look into the affairs back 'home'. Ah Fenira, it can't decide what it want's to be at all these days. At first it's the proverbial Canada, next it's well...anyway." he shrugs and chuckles to himself in a weird manner. He then calms down and turns to Leiran with a grin. "I shall talk with you later Miss Dashir. I was a supporter of the Council when I lived in Fenira, you will have to catch me up with everything." he says with a grin, as he turned to enter his office on the ground floor. He paused before his door and turned to Leiran with a smile. "If you would like some tea, drop on in! My door is always open." he grinned before closing the door and exiting himself.

Re: The Great Hall (1st floor)
Kagura enters the large foyer and... affirms her sister's suspicions. People milling about in an uproar between heavily armored brutes her sister would be proud of to a young Feniran girl who was positively pale. Kagura nearly felt one of her sleeves fall and her hair become messy, sweat dripping down her face. The vanguards at either side of her were sharing a similar emotion upon their faces. "Perhaps...we should come back." she gulped dryly, looking about. It looked like someone set off a bomb in one area of the foyer while the servants milled about cleaning and repairing the broken fixtures.
"....I'm not going to ask..." she says under her breath, her long sword rattling in it's sheath.

Re: The Great Hall (1st floor)
[from here]
The hooded woman entered the main hall, the opulence of the interior was grand, almost to scale of her own castle keep's main hall. She yanked up her pouch of cinnamon, the tiny imp smelled of it, which was far better than the scent of sweat she'd imagined. She however, couldn't slip by any of the guards now.
One approached with a spear in hand, but did not point it at her. "Halt little one." he states. "What's your business here?" He then asked, blushing as the small woman opened her cape, showing off her... assets.
"I'm seeking the High General of Beijio," She began. "Its a personal matter, that only he could satisfy." She says in a formal, unabashed tone.
The guard looked at the hooded woman with a flustered look with eyes of jealousy. "Ugh... that guy... really? He's already got three of the cute shrine maidens, and his hot wife...!" He mumbled loudly, causing the red head to shift her hood so her red eye could look at the guard with a confused expression. "...pardon?" She questioned, before adding: "Look it won't take long; I should be in and out quick, it'll at most, take thirty minutes, maybe an hour tops." She says but it only turned the guard's face redder.
Another guard stepped up and planted a hand on the man's shoulder, pulling him back. "Sorry, forgive him he's still a new recruit. You can head upstairs, his office will be the one with plaque you won't miss it."
She turned to this new man and nodded. "Thank you." She then began up the stairwell.

Edgar Holden wrote:Sango Sigara wrote:The soldiers paused at the mention of names, and it was a well known fact that Leland McKelly was affiliated with the Empress through marriage of her cousin, Lady Izuna. They took a moment to deliberate among themselves, as their commander, the High General/Shogun Barduwulf had left for the evening with an old acquaintance. After a few moments of indistinct chatter, the one who had called out to Edgar in the first place turned, and bowed his head. "I am Captain Sozo, of the Royal Queens Guard," he says, introducing himself- but given all men looked alike with their matching uniforms and face coverings, it mattered little. "forgive us, as you can tell, we have been besieged as of late, so we are reasonably jumpy. Please, follow us into the main foyer of the Palace, we shall inform the Empress of your arrival post-haste." He says, raising his head, and the small squad of silver samurai surrounded Edgar in a non-threatening, more escort like fashion to the main foyer.
Edward nodded his head, for he certainly understood the guard's position. "It's quite alright Captain, I understand your situation. You are doing what you have to do to protect your Empress. A most prudent measure in these darkening times. Hopefully, we can do something to change it" he replied as he followed the guards as they asked him.
The Guard's lead him into the large, breath taking palace main floor, a large staircase leading up several flights with side divisions cut into the stairwell above them to the various floors. The building looked like it was built on a diagonal angle, but it was mostly clever architecture giving the illusion of such. "Please wait here, we shall send an attendant once the Empress is willing to hear your case," The Captain remarked, before heading off with the squad.

Edward nodded again. "Thank you, Captain" he said as his eyes took in the sight of this antechamber, even as me moved to take a seat on a bench by one of the walls. The stonework and masonry, along with the carpentry fascinated Ed who, having come from another world, but was more than a little familiar with the architecture of his wife's homeland saw striking similarities to it in many aspects. "Hmm, Himiko would have loved it here..." he thought solemnly. His green eyes misting a little behind their new more vibrant light.

The guard returned, and bowed to Edgar. "Sorry for the long wait, the Empress was in a meeting with a foreign dignitary. She has, however, elected to see you, and awaits your presence in the throne room, please, follow us sir." The captain replied, his men returning to escort the man to the throne room.

Edgar nodded with a smile again, and followed the guard into the Throneroom as instructed.
