From Here (Outskirts)
The aircraft descended as it got closer to it's destination. hovering a foot off the ground, the side door slid open and out dropped Nagisa and Kagura. The twins shared a short glance upon each other before both headed towards the entrance of the Palace. They were escorted by three ADN Vanguards, rocket launchers upon their backs and assualt weapons in their hands. They paused before the doorway when Nagisa suddenly broke off.
"I sense the foyer's crowded. I'm going to explore the grounds. Besides, I hate being a dignitary." she sighed, taking one of the escorts with her begrudgingly.

Kagura turned to her sister with a smile and chuckled. "Nagisa you never did like large crowds." she chuckles again and started for the door. "Just don't get into any trouble, we are guests after all. I shall tell the Generals and the Empress that you are.... 'surveying' the troops, for the time being." she says closing her eyes, smiling. Then without another word, she enters the Palace, her soldiers at either side.

She turned her head away from her twin, flustered. "S-shut up...." she says walking off to the overlook of the Ocean. "Just remember, we came here together, and I'm still going to give my decision for modernization over your tradtion." she says cooly, before looking for the garden.

Kagura closed her eyes, sighing softly. "Don't worry my sister, I will not leave you out of this conversation." she says before closing the doors.

Nagisa visibly shook, and then removed herself from a guide rail that blocked her from heading down a slope leading to one of the high walls on the cliff side facing the ocean. "Come now," she spoke to the ADN Vanguard. She didn't want to stay here that long, and decided to head towards the left side of the castle. Surely there were gardens that could occupy her while her sister announced their arrival.

Mink had gotten lost walking around Beijio. She had followed a trail of hard to find breadcrumbs that lead her to the grand city, but she wasn't sure where exactly she had to head first. As she was walking by the ascending 100,000 steps, she was looking at her wrist, looking at the map of the local area via a hologram. She wasn't looking and bumped into a cloaked figure as she was walking by. "Ooof! Oh, I'm sorr-" she started to apologize when she was struck with a tremendous chill that rolled up and down her spine and felt as though a layer of ice was placed under her shiny ebony skin. She shivered physically, rubbing her arms together viciously. Mink hated the cold, and right now it felt as though she was standing in the ice caps.
Mink's lithe form, drenched in sweat and hunched over, breathing heavily. "Th-there... I'm...finally.... here." she exhaled. She looked up at the front gates, noting they were slightly ajar. "I swear, if I don't see another set of steps, it be too soon." she breathed, standing straight again as she wobbly made her way to the door, grabbing hold of the front gates of the courtyard and began pushing the heavy door forward.

Suddenly Mink grabbed hold of her chest, eyes wide and she fell onto her knees. Holy crap, I'm having a heart attack, aren't I?! she thought, her white hair splayed over her eyes. The dark elf let out a pained scream, biting her lip to reduce the noise. I'm on fire... I feel as though I'm on fire! I can't breathe, my body is engulfed in this sweltering hell fire, it's going to reduce me to an ash pile! she thought shaking and hyperventilating before it began easing, and then finally it was gone. "Urg...." she grunted, and fell onto her chest, eyes wide and mouth agape, with her Emerald eyes glancing over at a few other elves who were in about the same state as her. "Wh-what happened?" she whispered, body shaking yet. It wasn't just like a feeling of being burnt alive from the inside, it was also like...she could feel someone, peering inside her.

The purple haired man walked up the many steps as he did with his daily exorcises. He had his hands slipped between the folds of his kimono, which was of the traditional red silk with floral designs and such; very much in contrast with the denim trousers he wore underneath. He himself also did not have the physical being of a Beijionese individual, yet he wore his hair long and carried a unique sword in the scabbard upon his back with a katana like grip; yet the blade itself was a deal thicker, and somewhat scimitar shaped. This weapon clanged and clapped against his back in it's leather sheath as he whistled a jolly old tune he heard in the pub a couple of days ago, in a rather jovial mood. He was going to pester General Garamonde once more, to see if he would allow him entry in the guard as he had habitually on the second day of the seven day week period since he moved here. Had to be on a little over a year now... but the General always was 'too busy' to speak with when he came to visit. Must be his scheduled busy days. Regardless, he came to drop by again when he nearly stumbled over the Drow in the courtyard.
"W-whoa now! Watch where your-" he exclaimed, hands out, flailing at the air as he regained his balance. He looked down at her, and noticed she looked in pain. Not only her, but as he looked around him, other people present, guards or servants that were Elven in nature were in a look of pain. "Huh?!" He looked nervous. Was the Castle under attack?
He knelt down, grabbing the shoulders of the Drow lightly, lifting her up. "Hey, are you all right?" He asked, sternly, but calmly. "What happened? Did something happen to the castle? Are the Empress and the Imperial Guard okay?" he asked, before looking over at the others, who seemed to be recovering. "Hey! Can anyone explain why a doctor hasn't come for these people yet?!" he exclaimed, half angry. Gods, one would think they would have been on top of things here. He thought.

Mink, still weakened, leaned into the man as he held her. "Ah...I don't know. It was like every fiber under my skin was on fire... it was terrible." she hissed in a sore manner to the human stranger, looking up at him, wincing. "As for the Empress and Guard, I'm not sure. I only just arrived to see if I could apply for work around here." She grunts, her body feeling better but sore all the same. She slowly forced herself to stand, and wobbled on her feet as she did. "I...I can stand." she winced.

Anastasia headed out of the palace, after mingling with some of Beijio's officers. The Scardian Soldier herself had to take a break, get some fresh air now that it appeared she wasn't going to be sentenced for anything. She walks over to a railing, leaning over it, propping her head up with her right hand, her elbow resting on the concrete. She looked out to the sea, to the islands in the distance. She could see smoke barely on the horizon, which made her a little worried- it was in the general direction of Scardia but it could perhaps have been from one of the Islands. The others around the palace didn't seem too alarmed by this, and no gossip was made so she let it be for now. She closed her long lashed eyes and sighed. "Well...I guess I am free." She says sighing softly, reflecting again at the fact she wasn't going to be investigated or charged.

Leland having found that the Empress had moved, decided to leave the main building himself and browse the castle grounds as he waited for a horse and supplies for the trip ahead. It was then he spotted the Elven Scardian Officer, and as he approached couldn't help but over hear her. "You sound disappointed, Major. Did you want to be punished?" Leland says in response to her, leaning on the wall beside her. "'Cuz, living the life of a martyr isn't living a life at all. Especially over something the Empress does on a monthly basis to that perverted old coot." He says, referring to how Ikai and Empress had a love hate relationship. He breaks out a cigarette from his duster, bringing it to his lips as he goes to light it. "Ikai's a strong one... he'll survive. And you did what anyone else would have done. No need to beat yourself over it..." he says, struggling with the lighter.

Anastasia turned her head towards Leland. "Mellonamin!" she was a little surprised by his random appearance, but she knew she was at least in pleasant company now. She turned away, slightly frowning. "Oh... well it's not like that at all. When you have lived as long as I have, its hard to keep up with the ever changing laws and traditions. I was honestly expecting to be executed back there, in a bygone time, I would have." She says with a sigh. "My life flashed before my eyes. A lot of memories resurfaced...many I'd rather keep locked away." she says with a depressed sigh, her eyelids becoming lidded, her blue eyes looking down to the ocean several hundred feet below crash against the sheer cliff face. She held out her hand palm up, and for a moment... could feel theirs... before it was simply sea wind brushing against her exposed finger tips. She closed her palm, and lowered her right hand, before turning to Leland who was struggling with his light.
She slid close to him, her left hand snagging the cigarette from his lips before she tossed it out into the ocean, looking at him sternly. "Hey, smoking kills. Slowly, painfully, and needlessly!" She scolded him.

Leland turned to her slightly, as he saw a familiar sadness in her eyes. He looked away, unflinching before felt the cig leave his lips and he turned again, the Elf now before him with a stern look upon her face. He watched her throw it over the edge.
He blinked, looking from her to over the edge. "Now why would you do that...?" he starts, looking slowly back to her. "Aren't you immortal, Major?"

"Well you are not, Gunslinger." she says in a cold tone about immortality. "They have adverse effects on the human body, I don't even let my men smoke in my unit. They hate me for it, but I enforce it for their own good. Cant have a man rush into battle with half their lungs inked up." she answers, pointing her finger into his chest. She leveled her eyes to his. "That is a common misconception, but most Elves like me are not immortal, only the very oldest of our clans are and we can die like you or any other mortal. We do, however, carry immunity against many of Man's inventions, like alcohol or tobacco, but that doesn't change the point that you sunder your own abilities by smoking those things."
She backed away, scowling yet. "Don't be a hypocrit and tell me not to throw your life away, and then light up tobacco." she shrugged, then turned to look to the sea again. After several silent moments, she sighed. "So, what are you doing out here anyway? Are you tired of mingling with the Royal Court?" she asks, before turning to him.

Leland took half a step back as she prodded him. He let her finish before he spoke up again. "Forgive me then, habits die hard..." he then leaned back, looking up at the sky. "You can say that. I really need that horse and those supplies if I want to make it to Amaine before afternoon. As it seems though, the High General is keeping me from my goals at the moment." he sighed, rubbing the back of his head.

She raised a brow, before putting it together. "I presume you got what you needed about Asrond out of Tenik then, hmm?" she says, and before he could respond, added: "My ears, they are not just for show." she says, wiggling them, yet kept her stern expression. "I couldn't help but overhear you were planning to head to the Tenik building. That region is completely dangerous since the Final Raid, even for an expert Gunman like yourself." she says before folding her arms across her chest. "However, it won't be as bad if you had a second gun with you. I can provide us the horses and supplies, and an extra hand when fighting off the daemons or creatures now taking residence. Besides, I too have some business to take care of in Tenik Tower." she added cooly. She walks up to him, leaning over him almost so he could look at her. "And if you say no, well... I'll make sure you won't get horses at all." She says with a rather pleasant smile, which made her look all the more scary.

Leland was a bit surprised by how royally she just fucked him. He blinked, observing her smile which was both pleasant and scary at the same time, especially after that ultimatum. He shouldn't have been surprised by her long ears, but he didn't think of it at the time in hindsight. He closed his eyes, sighing heavily. Anyone who can act like the way the Major did, is liable to be trouble in the long run. However, people who smiled like her, usually kept their word, and if he was to refuse, he had no doubt his trip would be further delayed. "Fine. A second hand seems fair..." He leans forward, chest against hers as he makes her take a slight step back, looking at her evenly. "You're a shrewd hardass, you know that?" he says before brushing past her to head down the 10,000 or so steps to the village below, waving his hand above his head. "Oh, and-don't order me around Major. I'm not one of your soldiers. Meet ya by the stables."

She didn't falter when they were brushed against one another, turning her head as he walked past her. "I'm not the Ice Queen of the S.F.L. for nothing, maggot." she says in a pleasant tone, still smiling despite the way he acted, knowing how it went under his skin even as he departed for the village. Once he vanished she turned to one of her men, and began making preparations, having him procure two of the Imperial's finest horses they could get their hands on. In the meantime, she asked her quartermaster for supplies, such as ammunition, tools and other amenities for the trip.

Re: The outside courtyard (outside; ground floor.)
Rufus hobbled his way out into the entrance courtyard, cane in one hand, and a phone in the other raised to the side of his head. "The President is safe then? Good. Clean up things at the Craft then. In the meantime patch in a call to Scardia's ADN facility and put in a request for a helicopter to pick me up in Beijio as well as a detachment of the ADN's finest to help aid Beijio City. They are low on man power, and I don't care if we have to spare a third of our fleet or infantry to keep it safe. I want vanguards patrolling the palace and to be placed under the Shogun's command. Heavens know he needs the manpower right now till he reassembles the Twelve Swords." He says to the commander on the other end.

He pauses, looking down in the kimono he was in for a moment before adding: "And I'll need a suit." he then hangs up the phone and slips it into his pocket. He looked up to the sky, his bluish eyes glazed over with a fiery light. This planet has suffered enough. I have little time to repair the damage I've done. However, it seems we've entered a new and terrifying era. I'm one of the last Wolves of the bygone era, and its up to me and the rest of the pack to make our grievances made and settle this score once and for all...
He looks down at his right hand clasped over the edge of his cane. The Tenik Signet Ring gleamed with a brilliant yet terrifying light. I will have to do what is needed... even if it sacrifices me in the process. I need... to see him before I do anything stupid. He needs to know the truth and what lies in his future... He closed his eyes sadly.
"The time... has come." he says in a defeated tone, the wind bellowing his kimono and the curtains of blond, greying hair.

The woman sighed, upon reaching the top. "That surely was a work out..." Sweat dripped from her body, and she pulled at her bra, airing out the humid feeling. She could have foregone the bath she realized, no one would have noticed thanks to the stair climb.
She readjusted her bra and breast, turning her hooded head towards the palace entrance. Guards were posted, but they seemed to be too busy to really notice her as she slipped by. She pushed the big doors to the palace open, and slipped inside.

The transport helicopter descended onto the courtyard, the treads scratching up the stonework. The blades continued to spin, as a pretty blonde stepped out of the side of the vehicle. Her heels clicking upon the stone tiles, overshadowed by the loud volume of the ADN helicopter's spinning blades. She was Natalya Wyverncleaver, Rufus Tenik's appointed bodyguard who he has ignored for the last four years, and she was there to pick the useless old man up after he finally gave her a call. Her suit flapped under the idling blades, holding her shirt to keep it from tearing open! Her blue green eyes glared over to the entrance to the palace, the guards rushing out to see what the hell was going on. She pushed up her sunglasses bowing her head as she stepped away from the helicopter till she was out of the danger zone. Then she waited, silently, for the Vice President to arrive...

Rufus descended the steps from the Palace, his coat flapping from the rotating propellers of the chopper. He hobbles on his cane over to the pretty blonde, and held out his other hand. "Ms. Natalya Wyverncleaver?" He asked.

The comet landed in the palace foregrounds just outside the gates, at the top of the 10,000 Steps. However, the form did not crater the ground, nor cause a cataclysmic explosion as one would expect of an object travelling that hot and that fast. Instead the bright shining white gold light simply stayed there, barely touching the stone and grasses it landed upon. After a few moments, a form emerged from the light, kneeling over on one knee, head down. The light faded from around the now clearly humanoid form, tall, muscular and darkly dressed, the form was that of a huge man!
Once the light faded, he opened his bright jade green eyes, and slowly stood up, looking outward and towards the Imperial palace of Beijio. And although nothing mortal made would ever impress him as much as the sights he had seen in just the past 6 hours from the two realms he had just visited, he still smiled.
"Time to go to work." he said, and approached the gate.

A small squad of guards, armored in the silver armor of the Beijionese Royal Queensguard, approached the man:
"Halt your approach," they began cautiously, their hands on their blades. To be fair, a guy just came out of no where in flash of light, and they had been attacked throughout the months by various outsiders. "declare your intentions for entry, outsider!" they barked, but not with malicious intent, rather unease.

Edgar smiled at the approaching guards. "Good afternoon." he said. "Well, I guess my intentions are to meet with your government leaders, and inform them of the current situation and try to help save your world. Also to advise a young woman on the status of her family member, one Leland McKelly, who right now is undertaking a dangerous mission into a very dangerous region." Edward answered. "my intentions are not hostile towards your people, I can assure you of that. My name is Edward Holden, a visitor to your world, as you may have surmised. If you need me to wait I have a little time, but not much. I'm afraid I have other world leaders I must also inform of what is about to happen, and time is a resource that now has an expiry date attached."

Re: The outside courtyard (outside; ground floor.)
The soldiers paused at the mention of names, and it was a well known fact that Leland McKelly was affiliated with the Empress through marriage of her cousin, Lady Izuna. They took a moment to deliberate among themselves, as their commander, the High General/Shogun Barduwulf had left for the evening with an old acquaintance. After a few moments of indistinct chatter, the one who had called out to Edgar in the first place turned, and bowed his head. "I am Captain Sozo, of the Royal Queens Guard," he says, introducing himself- but given all men looked alike with their matching uniforms and face coverings, it mattered little. "forgive us, as you can tell, we have been besieged as of late, so we are reasonably jumpy. Please, follow us into the main foyer of the Palace, we shall inform the Empress of your arrival post-haste." He says, raising his head, and the small squad of silver samurai surrounded Edgar in a non-threatening, more escort like fashion to the main foyer.
