Spire Beta, and the 2nd Hellgate (Asrond Fortress)

Edgar landed from his flight before the great drawbridge of the immense tower. The swirling black clouds crackled with thunderous rumbling, and flashes of lightning. Moats of magma had been carved around the fortress creating a protective layer few could ever cross, save for the immense stone and black steel drawbridge that was currently pulled against the ramparts as demons and monsters with wary eyes watched the stranger land. They knew who he was, and what he could do.

But they had received their stand down command, and lowered the immense drawbridge. In a few tense moments the toothed stone and steel walkway slammed into place and interlocked before him, and Edgar stepped onto the bridge, walking into the demons lair willingly, and alone.

Standing at the tower's main gate stood the Battle Lord, flanked by a pair of Wraiths. Each of the demons eyed Ed warily.



The four said nothing to each other in words, and after a minute of staring each other down, the Battle Lord stepped aside, and Edgar passed the threshold.

The Overlord Krall arrived with what remained of his retinue at the teleportation pad just outside the main structure of the fortress. "Go, rest up, replenish your strength and equipment. I will join shortly after I have regenerated my cybernetics." stated the Overlord as the creature made its way inside the central keep, moving towards the regeneration vats.
